I came in today with a horrible migraine, I get them easily 3-4 times a week. When I got there we did acupuncture for other things and included migraine since I told her about it. It took me some time to write a review about my experience with Rainbow Acupuncture. I wanted to make sure I jot down all the important details of my experience. I initially sought treatment to manage my stress and childhood trauma, as well as to support the healing process after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I've also been dealing with tinnitus for the past six years. The morning of my appointment, I woke up early and grounded myself, trying to release as much energy as I could. A large part of me wanted to heal, but there was a small part that doubted if this would actually work. This was my first time seeing an acupuncturist, so I had no idea what to expect. During the session, after Dr. Liu placed the needles, she asked me to relax and listen to the music. Honestly, that was difficult for me because my mind is always racing, and it's hard for me to shut it off. A few minutes in, I unexpectedly started tearing up. Dr. Liu came in to check on me, and when I told her about the tears, she grabbed a tissue to wipe my tears and reassured me that it was normal, especially with trauma I experienced. We talked for a bit, and she asked me why I chose her and how I found her. Before I could say much, I suddenly began to cry harder than I have in years. I felt my chest rising, but my body stayed still. In that instant, it was as if I was reliving all my trauma, with every painful memory being released. It felt like I experienced every thing in half a second. It felt like the universe was pushing the trauma out of me, finally giving me the release I needed. All I remember was Dr. Liu telling me to let it out. I felt a warm sensation in my throat and chest area. It was the most spiritual experience I've ever had. After my first session, my wife and I discussed our experiences, and she looked into the throat and heart chakras, which seemed to explain the warm sensations I was feeling. I resonated deeply with the meanings behind those chakras, especially as they relate to why I sought acupuncture in the first place. By the second session, it was easier to focus on the music and allow my body to relax. I've since completed three sessions so far. Dr. Liu is truly incredible! After doing my research, I made the drive from Banning to Temecula (just to put things into perspective), and it was completely worth it. I had some issues with sleep and hormonal balance and decided to try acupuncture as I had tried it years ago for stress. Hong does great work and is a consummate professional. Dr. Liu is amazing! My son plays football and injured his back at practice doing full contact drills. Had shooting pain down his leg and was limping noticeably due to the pain. He rated it 7/10 when I asked how bad the pain was. We got him in to see Dr. Liu and after one session of acupuncture and cupping, pain dropped to 3/10. He will likely need another session if pain persists for more than a few days but dramatic improvement after just a quick session is fantastic. He has a game Sunday and we were afraid he wouldn't be able to play but he feels good enough to strap up and hit somebody! This is going to be a more lengthy review just because you need context as to what I've been going through and how rainbow comes into with my recovery so if you like reading, great! If you do not, I'll give you the short version right now: "I recommend Rainbow Acupuncture 100%". Like anything I write a review about I always encourage everyone to experience it themselves so that you can form your own opinion, but hopefully this will guide you to taking that first step. *Unfortunately, my original review exceeded the character limit, so I'm gonna give you the abridged shorter version below: I was experiencing diplopia, which is double vision one morning when I woke up. I thought it would go away in a few hours however did not which caused me to go see my Optometrist. After visiting my optometrist, he determined that the best plan of action would be to contact my health insurance and schedule as soon as possible a visit to the ophthalmologist. I have an HMO which we all know isn't the easiest smoothest or quickest method to get seen by a specialist so in the interim of waiting for my insurance to get these appointment scheduled, I decided to take action in my own hands and out of my own pocket. At first decided to try acupuncture as as I was doing my own due diligence and search to see if it has beneficial to the symptoms I was experiencing. I read that acupuncture did have benefits when dealing with diplopia and the added symptoms of numbness and tingling in my arms. I have now had six treatments with rainbow and I can say that my current state is much better than a month ago. if I had to give it percentages, I would say the numbness and tingling I experienced in my arms is now 99.9% recovered and as for my vision, I would say I started out at 5% prior to my first visit with Rainbow and currently I would say I am at 90%. Rainbow Acupuncture is so amazing! I have interstitial cystitis of the bladder which is chronic inflammatory condition that causes debilitating pain. My first line of treatment was to see my urologist for a very painful bladder instillation up my urethra inside the bladder to calm it down. So you're already in pain and then you go through more pain to treat the pain. It's terrible! My sister told me about Rainbow and I am so thankful she did.
