This is going to be a more lengthy review just because you need context as to what I've been going through and how rainbow comes into with my recovery so if you like reading, great! If you do not, I'll give you the short version right now: "I recommend Rainbow Acupuncture 100%". Like anything I write a review about I always encourage everyone to experience it themselves so that you can form your own opinion, but hopefully this will guide you to taking that first step. *Unfortunately, my original review exceeded the character limit, so I'm gonna give you the abridged shorter version below: I was experiencing diplopia, which is double vision one morning when I woke up. I thought it would go away in a few hours however did not which caused me to go see my Optometrist. After visiting my optometrist, he determined that the best plan of action would be to contact my health insurance and schedule as soon as possible a visit to the ophthalmologist. I have an HMO which we all know isn't the easiest smoothest or quickest method to get seen by a specialist so in the interim of waiting for my insurance to get these appointment scheduled, I decided to take action in my own hands and out of my own pocket. At first decided to try acupuncture as as I was doing my own due diligence and search to see if it has beneficial to the symptoms I was experiencing. I read that acupuncture did have benefits when dealing with diplopia and the added symptoms of numbness and tingling in my arms. I have now had six treatments with rainbow and I can say that my current state is much better than a month ago. if I had to give it percentages, I would say the numbness and tingling I experienced in my arms is now 99.9% recovered and as for my vision, I would say I started out at 5% prior to my first visit with Rainbow and currently I would say I am at 90%. Rainbow Acupuncture is so amazing! I have interstitial cystitis of the bladder which is chronic inflammatory condition that causes debilitating pain. My first line of treatment was to see my urologist for a very painful bladder instillation up my urethra inside the bladder to calm it down. So you're already in pain and then you go through more pain to treat the pain. It's terrible! My sister told me about Rainbow and I am so thankful she did. My boyfriend has been in construction for almost 30 years. Over the past 3 years his lower back has progressively gotten worse. I came in to rainbow acupuncture with 10/10 pain!! I couldn't stand up straight. I have a 5mm l5/s1 herniated disc with sciatic pain that radiated all the way to my toes I had burning/ numbness and tingling with muscle cramps. Firstly, I'd like to say this place is amazing. Rainbow is so nice and professional. She knows what she's doing and basically makes you feel like your getting 3000+ years of practice applied your body during treatment. If you have a back problem, there's ways of fixing it through your arms or legs or both. Initially I though we would start slow but as soon as I lied down and relaxed she pretty much was finished with everything. After the acupuncture we finish the treatment with cupping, which for me, releases my back tension and finishes relaxing my mind and body. I try to go once a week because a quick major relaxation treat in the middle of the week does good to me and my family. Had suffered from severe Sciatic Nerve issues for many years. Aside from very sanitary yet serene conditions, it's still very professional. After doing the acupuncture with heat on my back, she finished with Gua Sha, a specialized scraping of the back with a special tool and oil that feels like you are being skinned alive but after that you feel amazing. The skin looks worse for wear, especially when you first start out, because it brings toxins to the surface, but with each treatment the color and the intensity changes. I have been to several acupuncturists in various places and this is a place I would definitely frequent on a weekly basis.
