Here's a polished I came to Rain City completely overwhelmed after my washing machine flooded my entire downstairs on laundry day for a six-person household , so you can imagine the amount of laundry I had to deal with. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by ALEX who kindly opened the door for me and helped me get set up with all of the machines. At first, I thought he was only being extra helpful because I looked stressed, but I quickly realized he treated every customer with the same level of kindness and attentiveness. I haven't experienced customer service like this in a very long time. Alex consistently kept the facility clean, even with the dreaded Washington pollen constantly blowing in. I don't typically need to use a laundromat often, but the ease of use, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service genuinely make me want to return. First time using laundromat in 40 years, as a senior needed help with all new way to pay on machines. Not used to all the choices the machine offered so I selected what I thought was logical, hot water, heavy wash, extra rinse, not knowing selections I was making added more than the base cost. When I looked at my bank statement was shocked the $11. wash was nearly doubled. Called laundry to inform then of my mistake, they were extremely courteous, and adjusted cost. Gave me excellent customer service! despite my mistake. The machines cleaned well, and the dryer dries very fast, I was impressed with the whole experience. This is a very clean and well kept laundromat. The washers and dryers take cards and Apple Pay. The guy that works there or owner idk is very nice, always holding the door open or trying to take care of people. Negatives: Dryers are expensive as you have to pay a minimum and most times don't need that amount of time. They have a few small dryers and the bigger ones cost even more, so you either wait for a small one or pay more for the bigger one. Last time I went there I couldn't use a medium washer that was wide open because somebody else was waiting for one as he said. Soooo holding washers. I ultimately won't be back but a decent place. read more

It's clean, sleek and easy to understand. So far I've paid 4.25 for a light cycle on a small machine, $8~ for a medium machine and I don't remember the price for the jumbo dryer but it was pretty cheap! read more

I take bedspreads and rugs in to wash a few times a year. Have tried different laundromats in the area and prefer this one. Variety of machine sizes. Equipment seems new. There was a helpful attendant onsite today who politely told me it was a fire hazard to dry rubber-backed rugs. He offered a plastic bag to transport rugs home. Also, a nice variety of things to do in the strip mall whole waiting, bakery, salon, two restaurants, grocery store and AVHS thrift store (where Peckenpaugh's used to be). read more

Well, I was going to give this laundromat a one star; as they apparently didn't offer "hot" water as said on machine.... Pre-rinse runs out cold and it looks like the regular wash DOES, in fact, load with HOT water. Just a little bummed that my (pre-wash) detergent packs didn't desolve completely. But main wash had suds and regained my confidence in this little place. Not to mention it's near/in a little shopping center, near a thrift store, so there's a little something to kill the time with. read more

I have to visit a laundromat every so often and this one is clean with newer machines that work well. However, I don't like the fact they no longer accept cash directly in machines and it's somewhat pricy (this is ok since they maintain it). Also, the stickers over the machines show a Discover logo, but they're not actually accepted and my Visa was declined for no apparent reason. It shouldn't be this difficult just to pay! read more

Updating review since my first visit :) It looks like my bad experience was just due to it being the day after it was closed for a holiday because I've continued to use this laundromat (only two in town and the other one is pretty sketchy) and have had nothing but wonderful experiences each time. The gentleman that works here is incredibly helpful and super nice and keeps the place very clean. Also, all the machines that were out of order my first visit have all been fixed with me not seeing one 'Out of Order' since and I go one to two times every week. I also like that they are card only as acquiring quarters is a pain in the a** and this way I don't have to carry 2lbs of change with me. read more

I have used this laundry facility several times and was pretty happy with the prices and pay system(Bluetooth app) they used. However, not sure if it is do to the name change to Rain City or not, but prices have shot up. You can no longer pay in 7 minute increments for a dryer, you pay $2.25 or $3.00 for 36 mins. I don't need that long, so it was nice to put in smaller increments. I will probably not be returning. read more

My washer at home broke, I went to the other laundry mat that's in the frugals parking lot & nearly puked walking in.... This 5 star laundry is top of the list forsure! My wife and I walked in. Within five seconds a public speaker announced NO PETS ALLOWED. even though my wife's Service dog is registered as a legal working service dog. To our dismay, another announcement by someone else. NO PETS ALLOWED. Out loud my wife said is a service dog not a pet. They didn't answer. Instead a page said to call them on the phone number posted on the wall. Gets even Better. By calling this help number. The employee stated to my wife" we've recorded your phone number and taken a picture of you" why? The camera they said couldn't identify if it was a " Service Dog" they are shady at least. Eh, it's a good laundromat. It's gotten a bit run down over the years. The washers and dryers aren't tip top shape and they overcharge. Don't even expect to go to the bathroom without waiting hours for a code. Overall, it's the best Auburn has to offer sadly. read more

If I could give it 0 stars and still write a review, I would. I went into this laundry mat to dry my clothes as the dryer at my apartment isn't working. I put my money in the slot which was accepted by the machine but it didn't start.I thought maybe I put the wrong amount in and added .75 more cents. It still didn't work. A lady who just entered saw me struggling and told me it wasn't working. So obviously it hasn't been working and nobody bothered to put up a sign. I knocked on the employee door to find nobody there. I called the number twice before getting a response and by then I had packed up my wet laundry. All she wanted to do was send me a check for 1.75 leaving me with my wet laundry. I told her that as that was the last of my change I could meet her so I could dry my clothes. She refused. Told me it was a self laundry mat and all she could do was mail a check. So because her equipment wasn't signed properly I am left with my wet clothes and she did nothing to want to help me, even claiming I was having a bad day. Horrible service! There is a better one on Auburn Way South by the goodwill and Habitat where the owner is there to help with any issues. read more

Came here to wash two comforters. Kind of pricey in my opinion but a very clean and updated place.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service i wasnt able to use as a single mother as i was told, even though there are toys built into the wall, that children are not allowed at this facility. After taking my 4 bags of laundry into this laundry mat i had to go straight back tonmy friends car reload all laundry and i left extremely agitated and feeling discriminated against. I found somewhere else to wash my clothing however. So all was well. I cant seem to understand why some people have to live through more hardships than other people. I must say however that i and another single father were pretty upset by the treatment we received at this very location. I'm wondering why WE were told no children could be present over an intercom while clearly children were there even after our departure. It honestly felt WRONG.
