The manager is very rude and she's out of line. I ordered a steak but substituted the vegetables on another steak of the same value. But they up charged me almost $4 for brussel sprouts. They did this even after I clarified with the waitress that I would be able to make the substitution without an upcharge. The meal was already overpriced with very small portions. I can make a meal just as good as this if not better at home in my own kitchen for a quarter of the price. I will never return to this restaurant because they did not remove the extra charge that I clarified with them before I would not get. read more

I have been to Rain several times. And it has always been fantastic. But tonight it was over salty. The prosciutto appetizer started the salty train. The salad was good - basil and arugula dressing. Then I had the filet with crab. It tasted like someone had poured salt on it. I ate it and o ed tall good. But just way too salty. I told the waiter just so the chef would know he acted very offended. I didn't expect anything off the bill. I just think the chef should know. I'm sure I wasn't the only person to taste it. I needed to cut it in half to figure a way to attack it and a lot of napkins. A fun fact: it is the State line grill because it is in Bristol TN but you cross the street and you are in Bristol VA!
