Breakfast was quite nice- best hash brown and yogurt. I doubt I will ever be in this area again but I highly recommend this hotel.

Hands down the BEST hotel we stayed in during our honeymoon in Ireland! This place is…read moreprofessional, clean, inviting, and felt like home away from home. With a restaurant and bar on the premises, the gBK, this hotel was completely ideal for all of our needs! Before arriving, I had requested a room on the 7th floor that would be quiet and away from any noises of the restaurant, with a view of Connelly Street. And what a view it was! One night, my hubby and I ordered room service and just watched the sunset over the city because it was just that gorgeous. We ordered two Guinness of course, a plate of fish and chips, and their Irish burger, which was colossal! The fish and chips were amazing with the malted vinegar (which we are now addicted to) and his burger was finger licking fun, topped with onion rings and cheese. Our room was modern and fully updated with a flat screen tv, desk, coffee making set, refrigerator, phone, and a full bathroom with wonderful water pressure! A huge plus! The king size bed was comfortable, and they supplied us with extra pillows in one of the closets. Plenty of space to move around comfortably for two. We made frequent stops back to the room while we were site-seeing, just because of its wonderful location. Even if we went back to the room to use the toilets and just lay down for 10 minutes, it was well worth it. We ate one night or two downstairs in the restaurant and had a wonderfully romantic dinner by a window seat. Since it was fairly early for dinner, we decided to splurge and go for the three course menu for two with a bottle of house wine for 60 Euros. We had the beautifully prepared and flavorful vegetable soup with coriander to start. It was smooth and creamy - really perfect for a cold, damp day. For the main entree, my hubby had the Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini because he was craving pasta for the longest time, and I opted for the Grilled Shannon Salmon. Both dishes were very satisfying and presented beautifully. If you don't come to Limerick for anything else, I would strongly suggest coming here at least for a day to enjoy and feel a little luxe; we all deserve it.

They have a dessert menu that we could not even contemplate. Will definitely return & kudos to the staff for providing great customer service.

Turns out having consistent amenities like shampoo, soap, and conditioner arent a constant normal thing in hotels. Nor is air conditioning. This hotel had both those things AND delicious hotel food. Maybe it's hard to find food to fit the budget of the included meals in a tour group, so Ive been eating some version of chicken and mash at every meal. This time I went rogue and paid for my own meal and was treated to a delicious braised beef dish and toffee pudding. Best meal I had on the whole trip was from a hotel and I still think about that braised beef. Oh yeah, the view is pretty good if you get a waterside view room. I unfortunately got a view of the roof, but I won't let that deter me from giving this place 5 stars.

The weekend we were there, the hotel was quite busy and was unable to find a spot to park the second night and ended up paying to park across the street. We didn't know until after we paid to park that, according to the front desk, the spots out front of the hotel that say 2 hour parking can be ignored and are able to be parked all night. Besides parking, everything else was great. Staff are very nice and we enjoyed our room. The view was also really nice of River Shannon. The hotel is a short walk to King John's castle, St. Mary's Cathedral, The Milk Market, and various bars and food. It's a great place to call home base for a few nights. I'd definitely stay again if visiting Limerick again.

It was easy enough getting there from Dingle and not long of a drive. Our hotel was right on the "strand" (which is what they call rivers? in Ireland). We got incredibly lucky and got upgraded to an amazing suite when we checked in. We aren't sure if it is because it was only one night's stay, or because we used the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, but it was literally the biggest and nicest room my husband and I had EVER stayed in (August 2023). Unfortunately the hotel didn't offer laundry services for only one night, but the staff was very helpful in sharing some food recommendations for dinner and breakfast. Emily and Scott were especially helpful making sure we had everything we needed and making us feel very comfortable and welcomed into the city. The hotel itself is located in a perfect spot between being able to walk the main downtown streets and still close enough to the points-of-interests. It felt designed towards business related events and we really clean, nicely decorated and smelt good! In the lobby, they had a piano (which the F major key didn't work) but that's ok. Our junior suite was on the third floor, and was the corner room with a wrap around balcony giving 180°+ views of the city, including the King John's Castle. It was the only true king size bed we have had and even had 2 sinks! It was furnished beautifully and has perks like blankets for the glassed-in balcony and modern accent lighting. We really liked this hotel and was our favorite by far!!

We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. NOTE: this review is for the hotel itself and NOT the pub! We loved the hotel but the pub was, by FAR, the worst we have encountered since our arrival in Ireland. The food was dry, the servers were rude and/or ignored us completely, and there was no music as promised. We ate there for lunch and it was great people watching because the place was packed with locals but everything else was ... disappointing. Then we came back later for music as suggested by the front desk, and we were ignored while standing at the bar, sitting at the bar, and hovering around the door. It was real "we know you are trying to be polite but we are not meeting your eyes so please get out" energy. Maybe we did something "wrong" I don't know, but it was still very strange. But the hotel is great and there are plenty of pubs a stone's throw from the front door.
