Came out to Worcester for work. My co-worker suggested we go here as she comes regularly. It's a small place... homey and inviting. There is a small stocked bar (another time... when NOT working!) Started with the fresh squeezed juice. DELICIOUS!... then ordered the fried cheese appetizer. It came out plated beautiful. Actually, everything was plated for a beautiful dining experience, and this was LUNCH! I bit into the cheese with the homemade guava sauce and kept repeating OMG...OMG...OMG! I couldn't believe how tasty. Then, for my meal, i ordered pork chops, arrow con gandules (rice with pigeon peas), and salad. Just look at the pictures! There's edible GOLD on the pork chops and the tomato on the salad. More OMG's as I cut into and ate the pork chops. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and yet with edges of crispness. There was too much to eat at one time, and my greediness got to me. I ordered the appetizer for 1-3 people to go. Pork, chicken, mufungo, tostones, empanadas, salad, and seafood with their accompanied sauces. I'm at home now... I just reheated and fed 3 people off of it with plenty leftover for snacking later. Thinking about this experience makes my heart hurt. We got there with some friends who had never visited PR it was 5 of us in total. Being such a famous restaurant we expected the best , our friend first time in Puerto Rico so we wanted to show them our tipical PR food. First our waiter seemed like he did not want to be there, second we ordered the food an it took forever (over an hour and a half), and lastly when the food got to the table it was cold, it seemed like it had been sitting in the kitchen for quite a while. The womens bathroom was pathetic!!! I have never seeing something like that (other than a porto-potty) the trash was full to the top, and the floor had more trash than the trashcans, and toilet, forget it!! Wow! Extremely impressed with the food here! Also love that they have Medalla. We started with the queso frito with guava sauce. Gorgeous presentation with an edible flower and gold dust. We also had a side order of maduros for an app. Delicious! The maduros were legit my favorite thing here, although everything was great. For a main course I had shrimp in garlic sauce with mamposteo. Served on a huge plate, there was a giant portion of rice and a small side salad as well as many good sized shrimp. Super delicious and the food was piping hot. Service was great and I loved the music here, which was a mix of reggaeton, Bad Bunny and Karol G but played at a low, chill volume so it didn't distract from conversation. The interior is sort of casual but with some nice touches like a wall of greenery with a PR flag. Our server was super friendly and this is a family business. We parked in the private lot in the back, which is reserved for tenants of the building. A guy who appeared to be associated with the barber shop in the same building told us it was safe to leave our car there to visit the restaurant. I'd recommend parking near the barbershop since they seemed to keep their door open and would see anyone messing with your car. There were a number of homeless people here begging but they did not bother us. Only reasons for not giving five stars has nothing to do with the food, atmosphere or service. I found the women's bathroom in need of a cleaning and they also have a small convenience fee that was not mentioned anywhere but was added to our bill. I went with my wife to enjoy some Puerto Rican food, the food was good, the service was good. The reason I'm only giving them one star is because they included a 20% gratuity charge on the check. As far as I know tipping is voluntary, I don't have any problem leaving a tip, actually I like to think that I'm a good tipper but I don't think the tip should be included on the bill by default unless it's a large party. (6 people or more) To make it worse, after giving my card to pay the check when I got the bill to be signed, the bill was asking for a tip. So, when you go to that restaurant if you're not alert you will end paying a gratuity charge hidden in the check plus a tip at the moment of signing. Too bad because the food was good but I will not visit again. read more

Driving through on our way to Maine and stumbled upon this restaurant. First, parking was easy in a private lot and service was friendly and attentive. Had the chicken empanadas for appetizers and enjoyed it. I had the pork chops with rice, perfectly fried and delicious. BF had the grilled chicken and mofongo, mofongo was good however the chicken was bland. And my friend had the bistec encebollado, did not enjoy his dish, he said beef was just okay tasting and looked like dog food, see photo. Salad came with entrees and had a really weird, sweet tasting dressing like caramel sauce. So 5 stars for my dish and but had to take 2 stars for the other dishes. And FYI, check your receipt because it comes with 20% gratuity and a service charge, probably for credit card use. Food was reasonably priced but there are extra charges you need to check. read more

What a find this was! My friends and I had lunch here and were impressed with the food, the service and the cleanliness of the space. I had the Chuleta (pork chops) and Mofongo (in lieu of rice). It was savory and I enjoyed the Mayoketchup sauce combo. The salad had this exotic sweet guava sauce that added to yummy of this dish. We also enjoyed the fresh passion fruit juice that the owner personally made for us. our server was attentive and pleasant. It was perfect treat at a great price! read more

The food there is absolutely amazing, presentation, taste and deliver is on point. It was my first time Puerto Rican food, and it did not disappoint. Small little area in the corner of Main Street but it's worth a try. The server was pretty funny but very nice. My only concern is the fact that it's in the corner where some weirdos can be outside but just be safe read more
