This spot is going to hell... my family and I went to this business and it was a total failure, first they take too long to attend to you, long wait for the food, when it arrives it's cold, our table moved from one side to the other without the waiter paying attention... we asked for virgin mojitos (not alcohol) elsewhere has been $5 for each, here are 11 each I don't understand why a restaurant that looks so good on the outside, has so bad service and a price of usury (more economical is eating even in Manhattan than in this place).... We will never return there again!! 0 stars. read more

The restaurant its beautiful. The atomosphere is great. The service is good, the waitress was really attentive. In the other hand i was expecting a lot more from the food. My husband and i ordered a paella, worst paella we tried. Evything else is fine. read more

This isn't the best place on the block, but it isn't the worst. One thing I will say is service is HORRENDOUS! For sure. I have gone on busy days, and days where there is just one other table, yet without fail everything takes forever!!! The good thing is they have happy hour on Friday. The bad thing is drinks take forever that I would recommend ordering two or three at a time (yes, it's THAT bad)! Went there for lunch one day, was the only person there and I ordered a chicken caesar wrap, it took OVER AN HOUR. Typical. Don't let my review fool you, the drinks and food are absolutely delicious. I just do not think it is reasonable waiting over half an hour for drink and over an hour for food. They need an overhaul on management, and hire waitstaff who know what they are doing and know the menu. Maybe I am picky because I worked in the food industry over 10 years so I have some standards. Then again this is Jackson Heights. I will tell you the bartenders can care less if you are waiting for drinks. read more

We went there tonight to celebrate a birthday and it was an amazing experience, totally unexpected because the other restaurant we went to didn't work out so we totally stumbled upon this place. The staff was welcoming to start and the waitstaff was also great - attentive and friendly. The food was good. We ordered the minijalea, NY steak, costilla de cerdo al BBQ de tamarindo, and paella valenciana. The paella is the best I've had in Queens so far and we've tried quite a few places. We also got the torta de almojábana for dessert (comes with vanilla ice cream!) and pina colada and mango juices for drinks. Everything was on point and we had a great time, will definitely be back. It's a great place for birthdays because they bring out the gigantic candles and the staff all comes out to sing to you - so fun!! read more

Visited 3 times. First was a Friday night at the bar. Ambiance was perfect, drinks and service as well. Prices were about 8 or 9 dollars for drinks. Loved it so much came back a second time for dinner. Had the posta Cartagenera, bistec encebollado, and the salmon. Everything was delicious, the portions were perfect, and once again service was on point. Took advantage of happy hour from our dinner table. Third time was again on a Friday night, with a group of 4. Had the bandeja paisa, a super picada, and more happy hour drinks. Happy hour ends at 7pm and they have beers for $3 and mojitos and margaritas for $4. My only cool feedback is that the posta Cartagenera is not really authentic. It was served with fried cheese and coconut rice. The fried cheese is not part of the traditional dish and also the rice is usually cooked in a different way, but I am just happy that for once there's some representation of the Caribbean coast of Colombia which is seriously lacking in the neighborhood. Everything was absolutely delicious, we have recommended it to our friends, and the ones who have visited with us have already planned their return. read more

This restaurant has the BEST Colombian food in town. I highly recommend the steak, as it's fresh and juicy cooked to perfection EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Let's not forget the drinks!! Omg!! It's my favorite place to grab a drink (or 3) and delicious food while listening to live music. THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. Throughout the quarantine, we've been ordering for pick up and it never disappoints. As of now, they are serving tables outdoors at a limited capacity and it still such a great experience. The attention we received was incredible. Take the time to come out to this Gem!! You'll thank me later read more

I had an amazing experience dining here! I was with a group of four for a friend's birthday, and our server Carlos made us feel like we were right at home. He offered us insight on the menu and was extremely professional as a server. Carlos gave us enough time to browse the menu, eat our food, and relax before coming to our table and offering his assistance. We had bandeja tipicas which were an excellent portion, as well as chuleta bachue and arroz con pollo. We ordered a round of mojitos and I can definitely say, the blackberry flavor is one of the best mojitos I've EVER had. It will be interesting to see how this place fares with the rest of the latino-oriented restaurants in the neighborhood. I look forward to coming back in the future. read more

I ordered through UberEats. The dish I ordered was seafood and skirt steak platter. It was very bad. When I took few nibble of the dish, I knew it was not fresh at all. First of all, that rancid fishy smell all over the dish, the sauce, the shrimp, the squid, the whiting, even the steak because it was soaked in the sauce. I washed the food in water before I throw them out so it won't smell bad in public trash can for my apartment. When I washed them, The smell was even worse. Second, the color is yellow and orange. What kind of freshly cooked seafood has that color? And they have rather transparency, too, which means frozen. The texture of seafood is rubbery hard. Fish is bouncy. Yes, no joke, bouncy, not flaky. Squid and squid hard as rubber. Other parts of dish, I did not even try because I know they are bad. Called the restaurant and complained about the dish. I asked them if they were frozen. They said, yes. They get it fresh and freeze it to use for a week. What is the point of buying them fresh then? And I doubt they are fresh. The worker told me it was from yesterday and she said she encounters this kind of issue very rarely. I don't believe it. Any fresh food can't go wrong this bad after only one day in a restaurant fridge. Even frozen seafoods at local markets do not smell like that. And what is the point of buying fresh food when they are going to freeze it? Frozen is frozen. Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmare here. I asked for refund. They refused but offered special discount. I said okay but I do not want it. I wanted refund because I know yet I won't order again here in the near future. The dish is $30+ and can't take responsibility for this? Who wants $30+ of a dish with bad quality? To be honest, plantain and the dipping sauce were only things that were good. I am giving one star because the worker was patient enough to give all the information, I mean this is an necessary asset for service business anyway. read more

I have been here three times and every time the food is delicious and service is good. Polite and sweet staff, we've always been seated immediately and the servers have been very attentive and accommodating. They are quick to greet you and take your order and the food is out rather quickly as well. This place serves the BEST Bandeja Paisa I have had. Delusional, food is terrible and wants to be high end with cheap ingredients. Drinks are ok, however the food is a joke. You're better off going to Mario's or up the block at more established and reputable Colombian restaurants in the neighborhood. Place looks nice and that's about it. The same meat that comes in a Bandeja they sell for an $18 price plate by itself. When asked management about this they made up some bull about the sauce being different. It's like the "chef" saw chefs table or bravoss cooking shows and thought to themselves to copy the plating without technique and expertise that comes from years of training. read more

You have to visit this place! As soon as you walk in everyone is attentive and welcoming. The ambience is great, and resembles the Colombian culture. I love the live music on the weekends, but don't wait because the place gets packed quick. The food is amazing and is a must try if you are near Queens. Appetizers and steak dishes are delicious. We came in here on a Monday night for some drinks ,(service was pretty good), they have a special of food and 2margaritas/2 beers for 15$. I ordered 2 stellas and chicken wings they were way too spicy we couldn't eat them. So we ordered Nachos which they were all dry the nachos chips were old and you could be able to taste the old in them, all dry and stiff (non crunch at all). The food was really disgusting now w have to plates here that we have to pay for and we didn't even touch/enjoy. Other then that the atmosphere is nice it was empty compared to other places. Next time will stick to Margaritas better. read more

I went with 3 other friends and we had a good time. Happy hour ($4) was from 4-7 but only for a few selected drinks. The servers were all nice and friendly. However, it took around 10-15 minutes for each of our drinks to arrive. It was kind of annoying so we had to order two drinks at a time to refrain from waiting again. The place is nice and clean. Definitely a good place to watch sports since there are 3 huge TVs above the bar. They have a DJ that plays good music. My friends and I were dancing on our seats. The place should really make space for dancing. The manager Benny was super nice. He walks around the place to check up on everyone. He talked to us for a few minutes and gave us free rounds. I haven't tried the food there yet but I am definitely coming back. This will definitely be my go-to spot. read more

Had the seafood combo and was well worth the $34. We got the garlic sauce and was a great choice as it complimented the seafood well. The fish in the platter was the best part, I would however get rice or something to accompany it-a bit salty by itself. Nice neighborhood spot to chill at but I wouldn't trek here if you don't live in the area - nothing to really rave about. The mango smoothie with milk was on point tho! My SO sometimes works in the area, and would return based on that. read more

Please don't not waster your time nor money. Where do I even beginning.. I was here yesterday. We ordered a mini jalea to start which was delicious. Fore entree, I ordered a fish with seafood which didn't taste like anything. That's wasn't the worse part. What made matters worse was the manager's attitude. We asked for either salt or something because they food didn't taste like anything and he acted like he didn't care. We never got the salt nor the garlic that we asked for. I enjoy coming here for lunch. I have been here on different days and times & food has always been good, fresh & tasty. I actually think this is one of my favorite spots right now because you get good food, a nice ambiance/environment and for very reasonable prices, however, the only dish I would not recommend is the Parrillada for 2 - me and my partner thought it was just okay, nothing special about it & meats were a bit dry! Well decorated, but that's as far as it gets. Food is awful. Service is worse. If you're a woman don't expect much from these women bartenders, they're too busy catering to the men and drinking with them. I went with the missus for a Friday lunch. She had the daily special, a sancocho de pescado. I tried to order the red snapper special only to be told that it was available Monday to Thursday. Fair enough, but the sandwich board outside the restaurant displayed the special prominently. Chastened, I ordered the milanesa lunch special. We started with an order of beef empanadas. These were three, fried, cornmeal crusted in the Colombian style. My wife is a Portena who prefers the baked empanadas, but conceded these were very good. They were accompanied by a thin, mildly spicy red salsa which worked well. A free salad was included with our lunches. It was fresh and tasty, with some peas for texture. Both our main courses were enjoyable. The sancocho seemed light on fish, but was accompanied by a breaded fish steak (tilapia?) a sort of fritter of mashed plantain and a timbale of white rice. The broth was delicious. My milanesa (of chicken) was enormous. I am not sure how they cut and pounded it. Thin, crispy, not greasy. My only observation is that some sauce is needed -- it was a bit dry. The yucca fries were fried to perfection, but again there was no sauce - in Brazilian restaurants I have had these with a garlic sauce. Sauce was needed here. Some savory arroz amarillo completed the picture. A large lunch for two, with one Negro Modelo, came to $33, $40 with tip. I thought that was quite a good value. read more

I was very excited to try out this spot for the first time. We came in with high expectations but sadly came out very disappointed. I must say that the staff was nice and friendly, however not as attentive as i would have hoped. They never checked our table and forgot an item we ordered. Also when we asked them for something they would forget until we reminded them again. This place has potential but needs a lot of work and professionalism. Food wise - it was ok. I got grilled chicken which was actually pretty good because it was soft and juicy but the rice and fries were cold and hard. It did not look fresh. The reason we ended up coming here was because one of our fav restaurants down the street (Barriles) was packed. I now wish we would have waited the 20 mins instead.
