I've recommended them to my family friends and clients for over 20 years. They do a great job.read more

My family could have died because of Cornerstone Inspection Services' negligence…read more We moved to Noblesville this past July and had Cornerstone Inspection inspect our new home before we bought it. We noticed a gas smell since the first day of walking through the utility room but no one said anything and when we received our inspection report and it didn't have anything about a gas leak, we trusted them and thought a little smell must be normal. In Nov 2024 our extended family said we should get it checked out. Centerpoint immediately detected 5-6 large leaks all over the utility room, locked the outside gas box and shut it off, leaving us with no heat or hot water for 2 days before we could have a plumber replace most of the gas lines in the utility room. The leak was so severe my family and I could have died if our house blew up. Not only did Cornerstone Inspection completely miss 5-6 severe gas leaks, when we reached asking for help with the bill, they went as low as they could go. First, they accused, and still accuse both large well-reputable plumbing companies in Noblesville of trying to sell us unnecessary and expensive repairs. The reality is, we had the 2 independent professional companies both agree with each other the same scope (quotes were $1500-2,200) I told both companies CIS accused them of trying to sell unnecessary fixes and they were rightly offended. One asked for CIS's name. Additionally, both companies had 4 plumbers (2 each with managers involved) speak into the proposals vs 1 CIS inspector and his plumber friend he refers to. By the way, his friend never even came in our house to assess anything before accusing these other companies. Second, CIS claims all the leaks occurred in the 60 day timeframe from when they inspected it to when we moved in. The previous owners did not have any gas line or other work done in the utility room in that timeframe. Both plumbing companies say there is no way all those leaks immediately came to be in that short timeframe and the one who we hired to replace the lines said it happened over a long period of time (years) due to improper original installation. Note: We learned CIS only use their noses to detect if there is a gas leak whereas there is a special gas detector tool Centerpoint uses that I'm sure they could invest in. To this day CIS will not budge. They accuse 2 companies of excessive selling and make a claim that is completely bogus to save themselves. They even quoted us multiple lines of their contract saying the inspection is not a warranty or guaranteed, etc. So, they're basically saying in their contract, if they get something wrong, they're off the hook, (including a $1500-2200 multiple gas leaks situation where a house could blow up.) To me that means, don't trust anything they say. And even more, if they can miss this magnitude of a gas leak, your family could be in grave danger if you use them. Stay away from CIS and pass this true event on to others.

I highly recommend you look elsewhere…read more They failed to report two conditions that were plainly visible from accessible areas. One was a sewer cleanout penetration in the foundation block that was left completely open, an obvious bulk-water path (daylight visible from crawlspace) which led to structural rot. The other defect was a large portion of the tall end of the attic where cardboard was used in place of sheathing, which now I have bugs, moisture, and repairs to deal with. After finding these issues I reached out to them. My experience with management after that was in my opinion, a case study in avoidance, blame-shifting, and zero accountability. On the phone I was told maybe it "washed out later," that things were "nearly completely obstructed," and that there was "garbage and shrubs blocking the view." None of those limitations were documented at the time of the inspection at those locations. Then came the kicker: they offered me a refund, but only on the condition that I sign a broad gag/confidentiality release that restricts honest public reviews and complaints. Of course I didn't accept that, I offered a narrow, non-gag release. They declined. This isn't about "finding every problem." It's about reporting obvious, visible defects or clearly stating specific access limits where you didn't/couldn't inspect at the time, not AFTER the fact. The company's posture felt smug, adversarial, defensive, and accountability-averse. If you value professionalism, accountability and transparency, consider this experience before choosing an inspector. My opinion: a professional inspection should either report visible, readily accessible defects or document specific limits where they could not. That didn't happen here. Their response with after-the-fact excuses and the insistence on a gag release felt smug and dismissive, not customer-focused. They got really creative with the colorful excuses, Brad (management I'm assuming) tried telling me that the sheathing was actually "underneath the cardboard", despite my pictures showing otherwise. He also said "we don't have our guys get involved in any of the mud in the crawlspaces". This was not a flooded or particularly muddy crawlspace. I heavily regret having gone with this company. I filed a chargeback with my bank. I'm happy to share photos and emails with anyone considering using them.

Having a good inspector is very important to understand and to learn about the property in question as it can uncover some serious issues with the house, help negotiate a better deal, or simply provide peace of mind. I researched a few different companies in the area and decided to go with Security Home Inspections. The office staff was very responsive and answered all my questions. From the price perspective they were not overly expensive, but weren't the cheapest either. What's also convenient, they do radon, infrared, and sewer cam (some other firms don't and you have to schedule multiple inspections with different people) and we actually uncovered some tree roots in the sewer line before closing, which helped us negotiate. Overall, our inspector was punctual, friendly, and thorough. He invited us to look at every issue he had found and explained how severe it was and what needed to be done in order to remediate it. Our report was done the next day and as a bonus we got the appliance recall subscription. All in all, I'm happy I went with Security Home Inspections and I feel more confident about our home purchase decision. I'd definitely recommend this company to anyone in the area.

They responded to my message in a timely manner, answered all my questions and they weren't pushy about getting their services. I have a new build so when it was finally time to hire an inspector I decided to go with MC2. So glad I did. They were reasonable and the inspection took about 3 hours. It was a smooth process and Greg, my inspector, was awesome. He was VERY picky (which I love) and he pointed out things that I wouldn't have seen. Please do NOT purchase a home without getting your own inspection done (IMO). Greg was very professional, he came in with footies and he had the report done later that night filled the pictures, notes and suggestions. It was definitely useful when I did my walkthrough with the contractor. Building a new home is already stressful but MC2 made it a little easier. Thank you for all your help, it's appreciated.

I called to schedule the inspection the day before Thanksgiving and Mike answered right away and told me they had availability the Friday after Thanksgiving (quick turnaround!). Mike also encouraged me to attend the inspection since I could ask any question I wanted and really get to know the new home I was purchasing. Jeremy was such a wonderful inspector. I almost consider him more of a consultant than an inspector! He knew SO much about everything in the home and gave me recommendations about everything I was unsure of. I received a detailed report with pictures of the home the same day. I cannot recommend MC2 enough, thank you for such a wonderful experience!

But Bloom Environmental offered a free estimate, and tho they could have convinced me we needed to take action and give them all my savings, they looked around and told me we had nothing to worry about, but to do wipe off the mold-looking spots and if it doesn't reappear, it ain't mold. [mind-blown, why-didn't-i-think-of-that emoji]. OH!! Also, while remaining diplomatic on our original phone call, he did show empathy about how slum lords be. convenience factor was great -- he texted me to accommodate my appointment-change request. and then dude showed up ON TIME. Just before I was…read moreto start a basement waterproofing project with Company X, the Company X representative informed me that the vinyl tile and underlying mastic in an area of the basement of my house (built in 1945) likely contained asbestos, that the wood paneling in that area contained mold, that these would need to be remediated/removed before their waterproofing work could begin, and that I needed to hire another company to do the work. Thank goodness Company X recommended Bloom Environmental! Bloom Environmental Owner James Plessinger and Office Manager Allie were wonderful to work with. They returned my phone calls and emails quickly and efficiently, and explained in detail all the steps they would take, which greatly alleviated all my concerns. James collected and sent out tile and mastic samples for testing by an independent, accredited company (high marks for this!), which confirmed the asbestos problem. They scheduled the 5-day project as quickly as was possible with our schedules. I was amazed at how the actual remediation and removal project occurred. James paid very careful attention to the safety aspects, taking precautions by sectioning off that part of the basement, closing off HVAC ducts, and using blowers, HEPA filters, multiple plastic barriers and more, all of which enabled me to safely stay in the house during the work. The work itself was amazingly quiet! At the end of each day, James and his team hauled off lots of material for appropriate disposal and then James explained to me what they had accomplished during the day, any problems they encountered, and how the overall project was going. I really appreciated being informed about these aspects throughout the project. James and his team started at 9 am on a Monday, were on time every day, and finished at 3 pm on Friday, keeping to their original schedule and even finishing a little early. I am also amazed at the appearance of that area of the basement once the project was over. James and his workers did an outstanding job removing everything that needed to go, and making sure that the concrete floor and block walls were clean and dry. They did a terrific job of cleaning up after themselves, so there was no dust, no debris, etc. Outstanding! And the cost of the project was incredibly reasonable considering everything that had to be done. Bloom Environmental is outstanding! If I had another project requiring asbestos/mold removal, I would definitely hire them again. Bloom Environmental has my highest recommendation!
