I recently decided to tackle our radon levels and purchased a monitoring device. Initially, I found…read morethat the readings fluctuated between 2 pci/l and 4 pci/l, especially with the basement window open. After a heavy rain, I was alarmed to see the levels spike to 9 pci/l. Since we have a room converted into a remote office in the basement, resolving the radon issue became a priority. After doing some research, I discovered that Ric had a remarkable number of 5-star reviews compared to other companies, so I reached out to him and set up an appointment. Ric showed up right on time at 8:00 AM and got straight to work. The first thing he did was identify the best spot in our unfinished basement for drilling a hole. He chose a discreet location behind the laundry room door, ensuring it wouldn't be noticeable. Ric then carefully brought in several buckets of gravel and soil under the slab, installed a white PVC pipe, and extended it into the garage. From there, he routed the pipe up into the attic and out through a small hole drilled in the siding of the house. He worked diligently for six hours and did an impressive job. Ric made sure to clean up thoroughly after finishing, and he sealed the slab crack with specialized radon chalk. The next day, with the basement door and windows tightly shut, I was thrilled to see the radon levels drop to sub-zero. I monitored the readings for three weeks, and they remained consistently low. I can't believe Ric doesn't have even more 5-star reviews; he truly did an outstanding job!

Always checking and double checking everything to make sure our home was safe and radon free. Our first system was installed in the basement where they drilled into concrete and installed a system to vent outside of the house. They work they did was truly impressive and professional. Plot twist, the contractors mistakenly turned off the system so our first test was a fail, but they quickly had the system rerouted so it couldn't be turned off accidentally and followed through by retesting it. Our second smaller system was installed due to the re-test which found we needed another system to bring it down to safe levels. Janryk said this was one of a handful of times in his entire career they needed to add an additional system. They came in to take core samples around the house and discovered the other corner of the home was the highest in radon. They installed within a few hours, had another test done, and voila! Our high radon levels became trace amounts!! I feel incredibly satisfied and safe that our home is now radon-free! You couldn't meet more professional and diligent people doing high quality work. Thank you!

Angela is also immensely helpful with scheduling and with any issues that come up. Our house has two levels that needed abatement so Janryk installed a system on one level that connected both and pulled from both to get the radon out. The levels dropped quickly but then popped back up. So he came back, investigated, and installed a bigger fan. That also wasn't getting the levels to the point we needed but Janryk came back again and installed a supplemental system. He stands by his work, and guarantees it. He and his team are such a pleasure to work with.

John thought through the situation effectively, identified a good spot for and installed a Radon mitigation system and did some other sealing work in the basement. Radon levels dropped dramatically after he finished and are now consistently way below the 4 pCi/L level that requires mitigation. I would strongly recommend him if you have a Radon problem.

All of the basics were covered: there on time, took samples carefully and from inconspicuous areas, polite, tests came back reasonably quickly, etc. I imagine that any company that wants to stay in business would meet those standards. Where Geller Labs went from perfectly competent to AMAZING is in the patience Mr. Geller displayed with answering questions. My dad had come along with me for the test, and my dad had a ton of questions informed by his own experience as a builder and with indoor air quality. Mr. Geller spoke at length, answered every question, opened up an air vent to check inside the duct work, and basically covered everything twice. Professional, patient, competent, and a genuinely nice individual. Would totally recommend Geller Labs if you've got shady stuff happening in your house and you want it professionally investigated.
