This hotel has profiling and scamming practices. DO NOT STAY HERE. As a single female of color, staying less than 24 hours in this hotel, I was charged a smoking fee without notification. I found the charge when reviewing my credit card charges for the week. This was done in practice since they knew I had not only departed the area, but also the state, as I was flown in for an interview. There is no process for me to defend myself regarding the incorrect charge. Even their parent company said it was unfair but since the hotel is individually owned, they can't refund the incorrect charge. Please heed this warning. DO NOT STAY HERE. read more

We stayed at the Radisson for about two nights in a corner suite. One of the biggest selling points is that every room is ocean front. The corner suite has wrap around windows and really gives you a stunning view of the ocean. The building however needs a lot of updating. If you can overlook that and enjoy what the property had to offer than stay here. The staff is super friendly and Ben the bartender at the pool bar was super nice and accommodating. The food at the pool bar was yummy and the access to beach is literally steps away. There is a chair rental place situated right outside the property, $25 for two lounge chairs, umbrella, and table to put your drinks. The kids loved it.. it is rough waters at Melbourne so if you are looking for a beach to float in this is not the beach for you. I definitely would stay here again, just hoping some of the construction is completed so there are less eye sores on the property. read more

I will never come here again. I've been coming here for years and years but we are done! We had made a reservation with the hotel and then changed the date to a day after both online and confirmed over the phone. When we showed up the front lady said that they didn't have a room for us. Moreover we were told we had been charged for a no show the day before. When I told the lady what had happened she asked for proof and when I showed her on my phone she asked for an email to be forwarded so I forwarded her the email. Then she said she was confused and yet while she said "it was obvious that I had proof I did it correctly, it was probably their middle man" but there was nothing she could do about it. She said she couldn't take down the charge, ridiculous! Moreover after third degreeing us as if it was our fault and they had a third party middle man who didn't inform them of the change there wasn't anything they could do. I showed her the email that came straight from them (direct booking), and yet she told me all I could do was wait for the manager who was coming in at 11p. I told her the family would wait to get this resolved. Meanwhile I found out that because we didn't recognize the charge on the credit card the company cancelled the card and cancelled it so we were now a credit card short. After staying up we didn't get a call so I called the manager chris at 11:30p and then he just seemed more confused and kept wanting to blame the issue on me, sorry not sure what happened. By this time I was getting infuriated and asked them to take off my first night's stay as it had been ruined by this mess or something to make it right. The manager Chris said there was nothing he could do because he wasn't a GENERAL manager. He told me to wait till the next morning to resolve the issue. So I wait till the next morning and I speak to the big boy, general manager, Jon, who goes on to tell me that he's already taken the first night off and that's more than fair and that he wasn't going to do anything else. He wouldn't apologize and insisted there was nothing else he could do. The quality of this place has gone down and this is the last time I'm staying here. What a dump. Had the first person apologized and not made me wait the whole night and taken the charge off, then cool, but making me wait for the next person and then the next person because they don't have the authority to do anything and then just to speak with the big boy who is rude, impatient, unapologetic, and to not even be told they're sorry and admit it was their issue??? I don't know if it's micro aggressions because I'm Asian but this previously favorite vacation spot is no more. I've been coming to this hotel for years and they're pretty much saying this is my fault and that they're not going to do anything about it or even say sorry. I'd give it zero stars if I could - if the big boy Jon is supposed to be the understanding top quality and customer care rep and I can't escalate the issue to somebody else who cares. read more

We stayed in a $200 a night suite. Room 501. The very first problem we had was zero WiFi signal. I called the front desk and was told yeah that's just the way it is because we were on an end room. No solution offered, just deal with it. Next I took my 2 kids down to the beach and pool. After going to the beach of course we were covered in sand and every single shower was broken. The pool was full of sand in the bottom because of this as no one has a way of rinsing off. The hot tub while hot enough was absolutely disgusting with debris and dead bugs. Trash around the tables, old towels thrown in the ground. Next was bedtime. This hotel out in very expensive sleep number mattresses and you might as well of had me sleep on an air mattress which is essentially what this was. It didn't matter what setting we put it on, it was just awful. I have a bad back so I was not surprised but when both my kids were up all night complaining about their hips and backs hurting that is ridiculous. Add to all this is the air conditioner which we actually had to shut off during the night because of how loud it was. Horrible!!!! This entire hotel seems to be under constant renovation. Everything is either broken and waiting to be fixed or in the process. Hallways absolutely smelled like mold. I cannot believe I actually paid this much to stay in a hotel no better than a roadside roach motel. Never again. I will go next door to the Hilton next time. read more

Stopped here for the night on our way home from Orlando, so we were pretty conditioned to being charged exorbitant amounts for food, but nothing could have prepared me to be charged $88 + tip for a standard hotel continental breakfast for me, my wife and three kiddos. Are you kidding me? The sign said $11 for adults, $6 for kids. Okay, so you want to call my 4'6" 85 lb 12 year old an adult. Fine; that leaves two actual kids, so now we're at like $33 plus $12, right? Wrong. This might be the only "buffet" in America where orange juice will cost you an additional $4 and coffee will run another $3. Despite being in the fresh orange juice capitol of the world (Florida's Natural juice plant is literally like 15 miles away), we were served crappy juice from concentrate, and thankfully informed upon sucking our cups dry that "refills were not included." You know that feeling when you're expecting an overpriced bill in the ballpark of $50 and they drop one that says $88? Our server was great, so of course I tipped her the standard 20%, since it's not her fault her employer is a profiteering bastard. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. Here we are, on the backside of a very expensive vacation, trying to stay within a budget, and we just paid over $100 for a standard continental breakfast. When asked about the pleasantness of our stay, I pointed out to the desk staff, that we'd paid less than the breakfast fee for dinner at the Mansion (awesome local restaurant) which included drinks. And she gave me the standard fake voice of concern, "Oh, well I'll be sure to bring that up with the manager." No adjustment to the ridiculous bill. We got the room for very reasonable rate, but increased our expenditure by about 50% by opting to be victimized by their culinary staff. Not cool! Advice: pack Nutra-Grain Bars!!! read more

I'm giving this Hotel one star because none is not an option. Where to start I made reservations five months in advance when the reservations were made I asked for the government rate because I was retired military. Upon arrival I was told that they could not honor that rate and they charged me $41.00 higher. I complained and was told they would see what could be done, checking various times during my stay they kept saying they were working on it. Only when I was checking out was I told thats the rate. I usually stay at the Hilton down the street which honors the government rate. Also upon entering the room it was never vacuumed there was crackers all over the floor how does housekeeping miss something like that. Do yourself a favor pass this hotel by. This place is pretty nice they only have two elavators but it seems as if they are making a new one not to mention they are very slow it seems like it stops at every floor even if nobody is there. Rooms are very clean and big. There is the master room, living room with a pull out bed with a balcony and doors in each room to walk out tovthe view is great!! I definitely would come here a again they have a pool and hot tub the pool is not the biggest but still a pretty good size there is a bar by the pool not that I went lol,from the pool u can walk out to the beach. In the rooms there are mini fridges and a coffee maker. In the lobby there is obviously a check in section and a lounge, in this hotel there is a food service called Lena's cafe I did not eat there but it seems nice. The beach is beautiful but the hotel is lacking. We walked in to a room where the picture on the wall was hung crookedly to cover a maintenance box of some sort. Our sleep number bed didn't work. Then our air went out at 1am and they sent security to fix it by putting a new battery in which ended in a long loud process and lights which meant my daughter couldn't sleep. After the security guys tried to fix the air (not knowing how) they finally went down to get us a key to a different room. We changed rooms at around 1:30am. I must say the security guys were super nice and tried their best! Our new room was larger but was not split so that means everyone in one room instead of the suite. Again or sleep number bed didn't work. We asked security for a new battery thinking that might help but even with the new battery it didn't work I will say the people at the front desk when we checked were very kind. Though the entry way by the doors had trash from people's wrappers and what not. The patio in the back had trash and it must be common because in daylight we saw a raccoon. The pool was nice and the deck to sit and look out at the ocean is nice also!! We didn't receive a discounted rate or an apology for the broken air and crazy move change. read more

Our 1 bedroom was very large, updated and modern. Sleep number king size bed was and extra pillows were comfortable. Nice size kitchen but there was no microwave or toaster. There isn't much privacy on the balcony but there is a great view. Hotel is building a third elevator that will lead strait to the beach so that will be very convenient as right now you have to walk down th hallway and through th pool area to get to the beach. Check city planning schedule before going. The city was moving sand from one end of the beach to the other in efforts to avoid erosion so not only was the beach in inaccesible in front of the hotel, the equipment was LOUD and they were working over the weekend starting at 6AM! Good luck getting your batteries recharged! After complaining about the experience with the hotel front desk and manager all we got was "It's the city. There's nothing we can do." Way to keep your clients happy Radisson. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

My husband and I decided to take a short break to Melbourne. Our first time in Melbourne, we loved the area. We stayed on the 16th Floor with a beautifuk ocean front view. We felt as if we were on a cruise ship. Our room was a large bedroon with a living area and a kitchenette. Floor to celing patio doors opened to a great balcony, we slept with our doors open every night, listening to the wonderful waves of the ocean all day and night. Brian (Guest Services Mgr.) was excellent in taking care of us and made some great recommendations for dining and he really knew that area,. We will come back to this hotel, great value, great staff and the best views. read more

Stayed here for a couple of nights for our nieces beachfront wedding. The ceremony and reception were both held here. Pros: We had a blast at the wedding, the food was good, and staff professional. The view is awesome. Our room was a clean well decorated suite. Bonus, Sleep Number Bed! Great beach access. Weather was perfect. Cons: The elevators are a real patience test, two total serving a 16 floor hotel and really slow. The front desk staff was very polite and well manned, but they have no luggage carts for guest use. No problem right? Just tip the bellman. Except the weekend we were there they seemed to have only one on duty for the whole place. On Sunday AM with noon checkout time it was physically impossible to get bell service even though we saw him running non-stop. Ended up carrying our bags up to our room ourselves at check in and back out again at check out. We'd stay here again but perhaps plan our packing differently knowing we were going to have and cart our own bags. read more

The nice points about this hotel are relatively spacious rooms and the wonderful views from the balconies. However, there are several problems. The first is that the hotel is actually quite sparse in terms of services and amenities. There is a small pool and limited options for food. The rooms have a small fridge but no microwave. So be prepared to go out a lot because there isn't much on site. However, my biggest complaint is that they stick you with a mandatory "resort fee" for completely normal stuff like wifi and pool towel. That is absolutely ridiculous and is just a sneaky way of charging more for rooms than the posted room rate. (I could also quibble about whether there is anything remotely resort-like at this hotel, but it is really the sneaky fees that I find unacceptable.) read more

This hotel has a breathtaking view. I felt like I was on a cruise ship, floor to ceiling windows. Our room was also very nice, clean, updated. The king bed was very comfortable. Our room was big with a living room area and desk. I love that it had a balcony not just windows. The front desk staff was super. The pool area was great and the deck over looking the water was a great place to chill. My one negative and unfortuatly would keep me from going again. The air conditioner just can't keep up with the heat coming in the windows. We talked to some other guest and their rooms were the same. Such a bummer because we loved so many things. read more

The hotel room is great. Clean, and has everything you could need with an amazing view. However, I would call ahead of time to ensure the construction is complete before booking here. I am currently sitting in my room wishing I were napping, but cannot because the noise is SO LOUD! This construction also starts early. 7am-5 every day we've been here. Good experience with the hotel. The rooms are clean and big and the views and patios are great. However, they say they offer early checkin but... Not so much. We got in town around 1 and their check in is at 4 so we knew we couldn't get a room then. We went in and asked about when they thought we should come back and was told they would put a rush on our room and to come back at 3. We came back at 330 and still the room wasn't ready. There were a bunch of people waiting in the lobby for their rooms. We waited in the lobby until 415 and it was finally ready. They did give us a corner room to make up for the delay which was nice. Also, the elevator is HELLA slow. Besides that, I would definitely stay here again. read more

The hotel has an exceptionally nice location. The room I stayed in was on the 16th floor, and had a lovely balcony. The A/C was very noisy, and couldn't maintain the selected temperature, when the blinds were open (meaning any sun shining in). There are three elevators on the property, one would only travel as high as the 12th floor, and one was inoperative for some reason. As a result of this, we routinely waited more than 10 minutes for the single functioning elevator to bring us to the 16th floor. We chose to skip the overpriced breakfast buffet ($11/pp + $4 if you want a glass of OJ). The swimming pool was nice, but on the first day we stayed, the hot tub was out of order for some reason. Our stay was unexceptional, I'd call it "fair". read more

I love the fact that these were condos so the rooms are large! Every room has an oceanview (a BEAUTIFUL oceanview on the higher floors especially). I have stayed here several times now with either just my sister or with my husband (when he was alive) and kids. The bedroom has a large bed but it's an inoperable SleepNumber bed.......it was kinda funny (but NOT really when you want a good night's sleep) - my sister was laying on the remote for the bed accidentally in the middle of the night so the empty side kept on pumping up and pushing her off the bed!!!!!! I slept on the pullout couch (like I said, two totally separate rooms sharing a jack and jill style bathroom). You will have a fridge and one of those standard pod coffee makers. I prefer them to my Kurig (I worry about the plastic and prefer the "real" filter). The staff COULD NOT be nicer and eager to please. The elevator is SLOW AS CAN BE........the stairs would be faster even if you're overweight and tired humping tons of luggage on your back. You accrue points for each stay so this past stay last week was only $80/night. Good sized pool and jacuzzi on the ocean and not many screaming kids, which was nice since it was just my sister and I this time. I was swimming in the ocean - couldn't believe how few people were - when my sister started pointing and saying "Jeannie I think that's a shark! Or two fish swimming- I see fins??!" I laughed thinking she was being a jerk when a nanosecond later a GROUP was pointing and screaming about the shark and I look as it zips by me, lol, literally 10 feet away. Pretty cool .... My sister and I were hanging out a lot on the terrace.....this time we were "upgraded" to a different style room- didn't work for us as it was one big king bed (it did have a nice bathroom tub though w/jets but who is hanging out in their room?????) and ONE TV......so we said NO THANKS......then she "upgraded" us again (Melissa, THE SWEETEST GIRL ON EARTH AT THE DESK! BRIAN IS AMAZING TOO...... they all are, honestly). This second upgrade WAS nice........a wrap around terrace BUT on the third floor RIGHT over the pool/jacuzzi area - we turned that down also b/c of the noise factor (corner room with the entry to the jacuzzi/pool right there- would have been noisy ANY no bloody carpet!!!!! It was tile floor THROUGHOUT like we were staying in one big kitchen or bathroom lol......and smelly/buggy - maybe bc it was close to pool ??????) The final room was awesome other than no carpet (tile everywhere---I think it's a southern thing b/c of hurricanes, close to ocean and water dragging in from pool........). I live on the ocean but in NY and we don't do tile floors on the ground level? Hard wood or carpet is normal. I guess it just took us off guard and we didn't like it as much as all the other visits. Great bang for your buck lol.......I hate that phrase but in this case it's true. Clean.......nice staff........good facilities......I'm still a Hyatt fan most over all (even over Mariott and Hilton) but this is good. All of the rooms have an ocean view, which is awesome! Also, my room was HUGE and had a great balcony that I could get to from both the bedroom as well as the living area. The bed was very comfortable, as was the room overall. The bathroom was a little bit small in relation to the rest of the room, but it wasn't an issue. The entire room was quiet and very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast at the onsite restaurant and really enjoyed it. The property is close to lots of restaurants, in particular a fantastic Cuban restaurant nearby on the other side of the street. I would highly recommend staying here, and we definitely will be back! read more

Great value if you're looking for beach views from room, quick access to lovely beach, and no crowds. We traveled with our kids under 5, and we were more than happy with our experience. We had room on 5th floor and it was king suite. Very happy with accommodations and view! Pros- every room has balcony overlooking ocean, room balcony connects to bedroom so view is incredible, no cars on beach, beach sand is thick for sand castle building, beach is steps away from pool, hot tub outside, can order food/drinks at pool bar, rooms are spacious and allow privacy from kids, Walmart and public very close by. Coffee make and fridge in room. Cons- no microwave in room, all hotel food is a bit pricey so we just brought in food or went out, 1 elevator for 16 floors so have to be patient, had some ants one day BUT we also had crumbs all over floor (they took care of it and we were fine after), cleaning crew didn't do an immaculate job. Tips- get a room on floor 4+ to ensure good view, go crab chasing on beach at night with flashlight, don't leave crumbs around room! Try to get room with carpet. Bring your own food/snacks to save money. read more

An $8 charge every time you move your car, whether taking advantage of local events (was my plan), or having meals in the neighborhood... The ocean view was amazing, and that was the only good thing. The hotel is in great need of some renovation, and the elevators weren't working for most of our visit (not good if you have a floor higher than 3!). When we checked out, we left some things in the closet. We realized pretty quickly after we left, and they said the things weren't there. We were accused of speaking ill of their staff, yet we were the ones missing items. It wasn't resolved, and we would not recommend anyone to visit. read more

I really enjoyed this place. Stayed there 3 nights in early summer. The bed is soo comfortable and I wanted to buy the comforter I liked it so much. Best bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. Loved the layout of the room. Half of the balcony on the bed side half on the other. It is a great place when you just want to relax and unwind. There is a restaurant/bar next door which is good. Don't pick this hotel during coronavirus uncertainty. I had to cancel at the last minute, and they will not refund my first night since I was beyond the free cancellation window. We are in unprecedented times and numerous other hotel chains are making this accommodation. I posted a similar review on Trip Advisor and got the most generic response saying that they take pride their "Yes I can!" culture--give me a break! This is one of the easiest things you should be able to do right now! All it would have required was for someone to decide not to bill that night to my credit card--nothing nearly as hard as fixing the cold water or reducing construction noise other guests have complained about! I will not be choosing Radissons for my future hotel needs if they can't step up and be a team player in a moment when we are all be advised to limit travel for the good of our public health system. read more

This is one of my favorite beach front hotel in Central Fl. Spacious rooms with large balcony, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors with magnificent views of the ocean. The hotel is not like it's neighbor the Hilton, it's more low key less hype. Excellent hotel services. There is a modest restaurant on the ground floor, looks like it could be a "Sysco special" if you know what I mean. I have never eaten there but they do serve Starbucks coffee there all day. Great price, peaceful views, and the sleep number bed was to die for, and by the way, if you want an excellent view of rocket and shuttle launches, this is the place. Pros: 1, The view from every room is beautiful. The suites are very well designed. The staff is friendly and pleasant. Lovely people working there. No complaints about the personnel. 2. Nice pool area and within a couple of steps to a gorgeous, oceanfront beach. Cons: 1. Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and it's no wonder. We saw numerous people smoking on their balconies which means they likely smoke in the rooms. The hotel states that it is a non-smoking property, but obviously it's not enforced. It definitely put a damper on our stay. 2. Two elevators for the entire complex. The hotel has signs up, stating that they are installing another elevator, but that doesn't help us much. We waited 27 minutes for an elevator in the afternoon. People packed themselves in like rush hour at Port Authority in NYC. 3. Breakfast buffet = not good. We were wondering why we were the only people there ... and we found out. They charge $11.00 per person ( coffee and orange juice are extra charges ) for a buffet that is basically the same breakfast you get for FREE at a Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Day's Inn, et al ... but not as appetizing. Skip it. If you just want something fast and easy for breakfast, I would suggest that you go across the street to McDonalds. Or you can drive a very short distance on A1A to "Son of the Beach" or "Scrambled Egg Cafe." You will NOT regret it. They are both amazing breakfast eateries. 4. Sneaky extra charges. $50 put on your card for the first day and $25 for each additional day you stay there. Charges will drop off after a few days, but still ..... very annoying. 5. The hotel is next to the Canova Park Dog Beach. The dogs are so cute to watch playing in the ocean from your balcony. Problem is that many, if not most of the dog owners let them run off the leash ( rules are posted that dogs must be leashed ) and they go past the dog beach border onto the hotel beach. We watched one large dog take a healthy poop on the hotel area of the beach while the owner just stood and watched. Maybe more signs on the beach? 6. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Sleep number / schleep number. It's a glorified air mattress and I felt like I had an inflated lump under my back while my feet sunk into a hole. 7. Wifi worked poorly and non secure. The hotel has a lot of potential with upgrades and maintenance. Until that time, I don't think we'll be back. read more
