We are return customers and spent five nights at Sea Glass Inn. We loved everything about it. Our room was charming, the breakfasts are amazing, the pool was warm and clean and the fire pit provided a soothing gathering spot in the evening. We appreciated being able to walk to the beach, the pier and park, restaurants, shops and a market. Patricia, Dean, Melissa and Courtney were so hospitable. Just got back from a fantastic stay at Seaglass Inn. Here's a checklist for you to help decide: Beautiful room, well appointed - check Plush robes, premium bedding - check Huge rainfall shower AND huge spa tub - check Cozy HEATED pool and glass fire pit- check Absolutely charming and accommodating hosts and staff - check Fun, tasty social hour with multiple wine and food choices - check Breakfast... time to leave the checklist. Karl and Alison both have extensive cruise ship backgrounds, in fact where they met. Everything was on point. Imagine having breakfast every morning at the Captain's table down to the fun folded napkins (Christmas tree morning 1, big heart morning 2). When we checked in one of the first questions was about food allergies and preferences. It's not often you'll have a three-course breakfast but that's what they provide. Start with an amuse bouche type smoothie, transition to a fresh fruit course and finish with the main entree. Coffee was outstanding, a full tea caddy and fresh orange juice. And the one thing us old geezers like, the local morning papers. The older I get, the more I miss them. Nice touch. Shout out to Megan (staff) as well. We will be back. Thanks p.s. I am a little late on this review but better late than never! Plus I had to get to it after the amazing stay we had here!!! The room we stayed in was the Double room-Ensuite-Standard-Caribbean Breeze. It was amazing! The bed was extremely comfortable the bath was great and everything in the room was updated. As soon as we walked in we fell in love with our room. I was for sure one of the best rooms that we have had over the years. Now on to breakfast. As a big foodie I have to say I was blown away by the food. Breakfast started off with a yogurt parfait with fruit. This isn't normally my go to but it was great. The main dish for the day we were there was Caramel Waffles with banana bread and bacon. Now let me tell you I am not a big sweet fan when it comes to breakfast but all of it was amazing. I will say though the bacon it came with was the best I have ever had...EVER!!!!! Our waitress even made sure to go and get us extra after telling her how much we loved it. All and all amazing stay with great rooms and everything you could want in walking distance and on top of that you get one of the best breakfasts of you life. Also I suggest ignoring the loon below me (when sorted by newest first). Clearly they have a vendetta with the owners since they everyone else who reviews Seaglass Inn also finds it amazing. I don't have enough nice things to say about this B&B. Karl and Allison are wonderful hosts who have cultivated a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The grounds feel like a botanical garden; lush greenery, mango trees, flowering plants and a sparkling fountain. There's plenty of seating outside to enjoy the atmosphere. We loved the heated pool and, because there's not a ton of units on the property, it was never crowded. The best part for us were the breakfasts. They were so flavorful and delicious, always different! Seriously could not have gotten a better breakfast anywhere else. This place felt like a European paradise! We loved our anniversary stay at Sea Glass Inn! The Sunset Sweet was gorgeous and romantic with a private balcony, and a jet bath tub in the room. The whole place is beautiful, cozy, peaceful and relaxing. The staff was warm, welcoming and very accommodating - especially the sweet dog, Lucy :) We enjoyed the 3 course breakfast as well as the outdoor atmosphere. There are several restaurants and diners in walking distance, a long dock overlooking the intercoastal, and the beach was just a couple blocks down the road. 5 star recommended! read more

This place is a gem. We are from Melbourne Beach and needed a place to stay while we were in transition for moving. This place was unique and offered a comforting feel. We arrived at about 8:30 pm and they had left us a note with directions on how to get to our room. We got to our room and was immediately in awe of the feel. The claw foot tub was my favorite part and everything was extremely neat and clean. The bed was comfortable and the area is quiet at night to offer a perfect sleep. In the morning we woke and went to breakfast. We could smell the bacon and coffee from our room! The service was prompt and everything was delicious. We had mango soup, made from their own mango trees and berry crepes. The checkout process was easy and everyone was extremely friendly. This is HIGHLY recommended if you're coming to the Melbourne Beach area. read more

We stayed here on a Saturday night. The location is quiet and short walk to the water to over look the pier. If you need dinner it's located next to a restaurant in walking distance. The innkeepers are very polite and welcoming. She showed us to our room which was near the heated pool. The room looked renovated and had a jacuzzi tub and stand up shower. I would of gave it 5 stars but the room felt damp all night with a slight smell. Probably because they have wall ac units and there's no vent to carry out the moisture. This is typical in older inns in Florida. Outside near the pool we used the fire pit which is surrounded with chairs. Breakfast was great! WE stayed at the Sea Glass Inn. Our room was small with a full bed for two adults. We felt like we sleeping on plywood! There was only one flat pillow for each ! No extra blankets. WE could not sleep,There was a hot tube on the deck of the second floor. The guests that were up there were in and out of the hot tube all night it started at 1:30am. The next day we sat out side for lunch and the smell of raw sewage from a open sewer pipe in the street made us feel sick so we left. When we retured the smell lasted two days. We left and stayed at the Hotel Melby downtown Melbourn it was awsome! view of the river and beautiful room with confortable beds,and freeparking! read more

A great B&B! I will be completely honest.....for many years we have been coming to M.B. and staying a the Port D'Hiver literally down the street. So everything was a bit of a comparison, fair or unfair. I will go on to mention that I think Port has gone a bit nuts with the prices, at almost double that of SeaGlass Inn. Worth that amount? Heck no. Not when Seaglass Inn is such a great place. Here are my pros: * Very nice hosts. And Lesley (cooked breakfast every morning, and I'm sure does a lot more). * The grounds. Beautiful shade trees. Private courtyard that you could really relax in. * Breakfasts. Today was crunch french toast with homemade sausage patty. Dangggg. * Happy Hour. 4.30 to 5.30. Amazing Beaujolais wine imported from France, plus meats, cheeses, olives, bread and more. Really good, and so nice to have this as part of the experience. We would eat this around the firepit. * Firepit. Here's something that Port didn't have (at least not a few years ago). Gas firepit..just turn the key and light. It was really amazing just sitting, drinking our wine, and even chatting with fellow guests. So relaxing on a nice night. * Nearby sunset (and sunrise). Out of in...walk 500 feet if that....boom...sunrise. We even grabbed some wine and watched in on a bench. Talk about Romantic :) A few gripes: * Pool could use a bit of a refurb, and maybe clean it a bit. We got in about 2 pm and sand on the floor etc. * Treehouse loft room. Had a funky smell. Karl put a humidifier in after we told him the next morning, I think it dissipated a bit...but not fully. * Bed & Linens: My wife and I differ here. Since this is my account, my review wins (man I hope she doesn't read this). I didn't like the bed, too hard. She liked it. I couldn't sleep first night because really needed a 2nd pillow (since bed was so hard my neck kinda went downward). We got them the 2nd night. * Stale cookie when we checked in. Two things here: 1) The comparo again.....Port has a signature cookie that is just ridiculous. 2) It made me think of a Curb your enthusiasm season 9 episode (if you are a fan, you'll know what I mean) :) Pretty stupid gripe huh? Would I stay here again? ..........Absolutely, and looking forward to it. read more

My wife and I always look forward to our trips to the eastern coast of Florida, most of all our restful stay at the Seaglass Inn. Allison and Karl are top notch hosts. The facilities are well looked after with great attention to detail inside and out fully evident. The location in the town of Melbourne Beach is idea for exploring the Space Coast. We enjoy the Melbourne pier and being on the Indian River side of the island. Using one of the complimentary Beach Cruiser bikes from the Inn, is always a treat. My wife & I decided to take a trip north (from Jupiter) to 'check out' the area. After an extensive search we decided to stay @ SeaGlass B&B. We've stayed in quite a few B&B's in the past & have found most are B&b's; in other words mediocre breakfasts. Not only were the accommodations( Caribbean Breeze) 'top shelf', the breakfasts were exceptional! Chef 'Fergie' goes 'all out' to make a great breakfast. Wow - if you are looking for the quality of a boutique hotel, but love the B&B experience, this is the place for you. We toured the inn while dropping off my sister for a weekend stay with friends. The rooms are so luxurious with beautiful linens and large modern bathrooms. These rooms are the opposite of cramped! The courtyard sports a small pool and a glass firepit as well as well tended tropical landscaping. There are bikes available and the river and the ocean are a short walk from the place. I admit, that we did not get to spend the night, but my sister and 10 of her friends did spend the weekend there and they are still raving about the luxury and the service. The owner and staff made us feel so very welcome, in a sincere non-chain way. Melbourne Beach is a well kept secret and now that I know about the SeaGlass Inn, we might have to get over there more often. read more

This past weekend was our second time at the SeaGlass Inn Bed and Breakfast. We were dropping our son off at UCF and made a small detour to Melbourne Beach. It was just as peaceful and amazing as the first time. Actually, it was better because Richard was kind enough to upgrade our room! The rooms are very luxurious and super clean. The room was so comfortable--my only problem was actually getting out of bed!! The only thing that got me out of the bed was the amazing breakfast that was waiting for us! Blue Cheese and Bacon biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, yummy fruit platter and delicious apricot bread! All the rooms are beautiful and the grounds are spectacular. Again we found ourselves back at this wonderful B and B. We have stayed at the others in town but nothing beats this spot. The most important item is that all the rooms are quiet from outside noise. The court yard is private and has a nice pool. We use to stay in Cocoa Beach before going on a cruise but now we stay here. You can walk to the inner water way or walk to the ocean on the other side of the Inn. The best of both! Richard and his staff WANT you to enjoy the Inn and make every effort to accommodate you and your requests. SeaGlass Inn is absolutely wonderful. It's located on the west end of Ocean Avenue in a very quaint and beautiful setting - just cross the street and you have a nice park, the town pier extending out over the river, or take the 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach access. The inside is cute and feels very homie, playing into the beach setting perfectly without going overboard. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, and the family that owns the establishment is a great group of people that truly care about their customers satisfaction and will stop at nothing to ensure it exists. When guests visit me from out of town, I immediately point them to the SeaGlass and tell them to not waste time anywhere else. Wonderful B&B!!! My coworker and I stayed here on a business trip; we've stayed at many properties in the Melbourne Beach area over the past few years and Seaglass is hands-down the best in the area. Room are tastefully furnished, and in excellent maintenance. SeaGlass is located in a great walkable area, right in downtown Melbourne Beach. There is an excellent restaurant right next door, with stores, bars piers & beaches within a few minutes walking distance Owners were extremely hospitable and accommodating. Due to being in Melbourne for a business trip our schedule was quite different from most vacationers, but Seaglass was very accommodating of our unusual schedule and made a huge improvement to our trip. Quiet, private, charming, and comfortable. We enjoyed two homemade breakfasts on the deck and were walking distance to a dock over the river. We had spent a few days prior at a beach resort and this place was the perfect wind down. So romantic and intimate! Karl and Alison are amazing hosts, happy hour and breakfast were a real treat and they took good care of us. We strolled around the community, ordered dinner from next door, and sipped wine by the fire pit. Our room was clean and cozy. My wife and I truly enjoyed our getaway at the SeaGlass Inn Bed and Breakfast. The host, Alison, and the cook were amazing. We celebrated my wife's birthday and it was truly memorable.The property was very relaxing, and really the best bed and breakfast experience we've ever had. The property is situated between the inter-coastal waterway and the ocean (beach). Both are just a short walk away. There is a heated pool, and a fire pit in the courtyard. Immediately upon arrival I was made to feel at home. Greeted by the owner, shown to my gorgeous room in a tropical setting. Very well appointed room, clean with plenty of towels and a refrigerator. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked well (important in Florida). Each and every day at 5 they offered a happy hour, with wine and a delicious selection of snacks. Coffee was also available, and the breakfasts were outstanding. They even allowed my Dad to come and eat breakfast with me, at no extra charge. Stayed here on Valentine's Day weekend and we had the best time! Between the amazing room (we stayed in the Caribbean Breeze) and the great staff, our experience was just amazing. They're in the right area to get to everything you would want to enjoy in Melbourne. They were able to find us last minute Valentine's dinner options, the fire pit and the pool were great. We enjoyed our getaway weekend at the Sea glass. The staff is amazing and accommodating. The rooms are decorated wonderfully and super clean. The grounds are very well kept and inviting. We ate dinner at Djon's, that is walking distance from the Inn and watched a beautiful sunset. Afterwards, we took some cocktails down by the fire pit and enjoyed the fire and the conversation and many laughs with a wonderful couple from New Zealand. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful.
