Private pier. Super pet friendly

Tired of Covid pandemic in Miami and seek a safe isolated weekend getaway. Island View Cottages checked all of our boxes. Pet friendly and the innkeepers became instant family. We have been back 6 weekends in 3 months. There are 12 cottages, all uniquely decorated. Cottage 12 is the biggest with 2 bedrooms. Our favorite is cottage 1. The only cottage with 1.5 bath, bunk beds and no shared wall.

Paddeling back from one of the many islands

Awesome place !!! Fabulous owners that have updated & work really hard at making it the beautiful place that it is ! They go above & beyond for their guest . Very comfortable, safe , fun , pet friendly place to stay . Lots of activities , a common room with games to play ...etc . They have a beautiful boat dock , canoes & kayaks , a large fire place , a few Hammocks , benches , swinging chairs to chill $ relax maybe take a nap , read a book . Lots of islands to paddle to go exploring. I recommend staying for as long as you can . Lots to explore . The kindness and peacefulness of this property & owners makes you want to stay forever . It was hard to go home !!! Fresh made fish dip in the fridge for your arrival . Coffee hanging from your door every morning .....(not just any coffee you can buy) . They treat you like you live there / like family . Definitely going back soon !!

Last May, there was an article in the Herald talking about IVC in Sebastian FL, right on the Indian River.

The room was big and more than enough room for me. Very accommodating. I loved having my coffee, in the morning, looking out over the water. Made my heart smile. A large deck to hang out on; along with amazing plants and flowers to take in. There's a couple restaurants, right in walking distance. On the water. Definitely will be returning, sooner than later!! And staying for longer Thank you for making My Birthday Special!! A Beautiful, Lovely Experience

Love it! Love it! Love it! The accommodations were great…read more Comfortable bed, regional decor, fully functioning kitchenette, living room and dinette. Full size coffeemaker - good luck finding one in most hotels! The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept, Having a gas grill on the tiki deck was a great bonus so we could have a night to cook out instead of eating out or ordering in. Just off Indian River Drive, it's an easy walk to pretty much any of the sights, attractions and establishments in downtown Sebastian and along the waterfront, while at the same time being on a quiet street where it's nice to sit out and relax in the chairs provided for each room. They also have a private pier for guests only, where you can fish, watch a sunrise or just relax while watching dolphins chasing a meal. The owners are extremely responsive, going out of their way to ensure you have a great stay ( Kyle is "da MAN"!). I highly recommend Davis House Inn for a great place to stay in Sebastian. It's now a favorite of ours and we'll be staying there again!

I have only been here 3 days and have found more bad than good, which makes me so disappointed as I…read morewas looking forward to this trip. Check in was easy and we found our room, on the second floor, with no elevator. The unit is nice enough, but the bed is so soft I already have a back ache, and the sofa is super uncomfortable. The shower head is so small not a lot of water comes out, and our toilet keeps running. People moved in below us, and they are so loud and noisy it is frustrating. Although we are on the second floor, we can hear everything from down below us. There is supposed to be a limit on the number of people in a room, but the people below us have way more than the allowed amount and we can hear the kids running all around. The bar across the street plays music so loud, and we are clear in the back, but we can still hear it in our unit. The swimming pool is nice as it's salt water, and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The loungers are made for very short people, as I am 5' 2" and my feet hang off the edge. They are very uncomfortable for any length of time. For us, the problem was the guests. There was a family with 10 children, so you can imagine how loud and crazy it was there. Even the adults were so loud and noisy that it wasn't a relaxing time at all. The pool is open until midnight, and loud people are using it every night, so don't plan on going to sleep early. Although there are signs that say no scooters, bikes, etc., kids are riding them all over the sidewalks. Twice we have almost been run over. No management around to do anything. They must have sprinklers running at night, as our car was covered with sprinkler water the first two nights, and if you live in Florida, you know that's a bad thing. I have had to take a bucket of water out and wash our car so that the spots aren't embedded in our matte paint. The grounds here are very nice, and for the most part the unit is in decent shape, but my experience has been lousy so I wouldn't even think about returning.

Both Oyster Bay and Oyster Point are great little places to stay in Sebastian. Oyster Bay is…read moresmaller then the point side but both are great. Each side has a pool and laundry area. The condos themselves are pretty nice. They all come with a porch and some come with a back porch as well. They aren't anything special but they are perfectly fine for what you need for your stay in Sebastian. The grounds are always kept up and it seems like each year they make improvements somewhere on the resort. The Bay side is a little quieter due to it being smaller but both sides are relatively peaceful and relaxing. There is a tennis court, basketball court and a shuffle board court for the guests of both sides to share. You can even rent a boat for $100 per week. Overall, this resort is worth every penny. No it's not a 5 star resort but you can't go wrong with staying at this place.
