Noting like advertised. A boutique hotel. I don't think so. Ironically the password for the WiFi is paradise ! As we know a picture is worth a lot. Get a load of the bathtub ! Ewwww. Icky

In typical 2020 fashion we booked a stay for a beach getaway the same weekend the first hurricane of the season decided to mossy on down the Fl coast. Our stay at the South Beach Place was still a great experience. The property is a an easy going retro beachy motel. The place is well kept, cozy, and quaint while the design and layout does well to fit the old school Florida vibe. It's tucked away into a residential area and a short drive from the restaurants and shopping area. I almost feel as if I'm transported to Dexter Morgan's apartment down in Miami. Because of the impending hurricane the place was pretty much to ourselves so we were able to enjoy the pool, shuffle board, and lounging areas w/o any social distancing difficulties. The beach is a quick walk across the street through the park. Bikes and beach equipment are provided as well. Another great amenity is the kitchenette which really paid of since our dinner reservations were cancelled due to the hurricane. Only bummer about our stay at SBP was that there was another family staying at the place, I think the only other one, and they ran roughshod over the place. They were nice people think Cousin Eddies' family from National Lampoons, but they did what ever they wanted since staff wasn't around due to the weather. Great value in this little yet efficient motel. Pet friendly and the fee for a pup is friendly as well. Definitely will be coming back during our next visit back to Vero Beach.

Charming, hidden gem!!!! From the seamless check in process, to the better than expected accommodations I can not recommend this place enough! Bikes to use, very clean and inviting pool area and most importantly my apartment was SPOTLESS. They have thought of tiny little details that make a difference! From a local, handmade soap, to everything you need in the small kitchen area, it's really perfect. Recommend! Staff warm and friendly. Other guests friendly.... Will be back!

This is a small, older hotel with cinder block walls, but it has been completely updated and is super clean and cute and convenient. There is a spacey living area, which includes a kitchenette with everything you could need - fridge, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, ice, etc. The bedroom was big enough with a comfortable king-size bed, and the shower had great water pressure. The decor was very well done - clean and modern but with a colorful retro vibe. We has a slight challenge finding where to check-in as it's a very small office, but once we paid more attention, we found it. The woman who checked us in (owner? no idea) was gracious and helpful. The beach is directly across the street through a public park. You could see the ocean except for the trees and other flora that block the view. This is on a dead-end street so there is no traffic - it's nice and quiet. The only possible issue was that the wall a/c unit was loud, but in more of a white-noise kind of way so it didn't keep us awake. You can't find a better value than this, and I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Cutest little hotel/motel in Vero Beach!! If you're looking for a quaint little chick motel, look no further! You're right off the beach here, across the street from beach parking so you can literally walk to the beach. each room has the cutest decor and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and they come with anything you could possibly need. My husband and I stayed one night here for a pinup shoot that I had but we got to explore many of the rooms and enjoy a day by the pool. We got so many good photos and had such a great experience! We can recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back and I'm sure my pinup group will be making this an annual event in the years to come!

My wife had an event here this weekend so we brought our son along and had a very pleasant stay. We only booked one night for the event but should have stayed two! We're pretty local (Deerfield Beach) but it's still nice to not have to drive the 2 hours home. We stayed in suite 206, which is the nautical themed room. There may have been something wrong with the electrical outlets in the room (or we just couldn't figure something out) but other than that we had no issues. The room comes equipped with a 1/2 stove, a full fridge & freezer, a small kitchen sink area, coffee maker, plenty of kitchen utensils (including a wine opener & champagne glasses!) and plenty of other amenities. The hotel manager was very helpful and gave us a pack & play for the baby. Overall, we had a great experience here and will most definitely be back!! This place is a hidden gem!

This kitchsy Florida hotel is truly paradise. Each room is spectacularly decorated. The bed was super comfortable and we loved having a full size refrigerator. The staff was not only helpful but welcoming and friendly. They made us feel so at home. We definitely will be back very soon.

Stayed the weekend here, and It was absolutely amazing! The rooms were immaculate, and spacious. The interior design was extremely cool. Each room's design had a different theme, with cool fixtures and furniture that gave it a vintage vibe. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. I had never been to Vero Beach, and the hotel manager was also acting as a concierge for us recommending great restaurants and places to go. Will absolutely recommend this to others and will be back myself soon.

Heather was outstanding in answering our questions before and after we booked, and welcomed us immediately upon arrival. With only 4 cottages, this place is quiet and cozy, and perfectly located. Cottage 4 is closest to the beach, but I don't believe there is much of an actual view. I could be wrong. We were in Cottage 1 which is closest to the road, but hidden behind shrubbery for peace and tranquility, and offers the most privacy away from the other cottages. Our cottage had absolutely everything we needed - plates, utensils, plastic wrap, seasonings, electric lighter for barbecuing, bowls, pitchers, lots of books, extra light bulbs and toilet paper, a tea kettle, microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, full sized fridge, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Even the beach towels, chairs, and umbrella were of nice quality and clean. We ordered Uber each time we wanted to go in to downtown Orchid Island and typically paid about $7 each way. Uber doesn't understand the exact address so just tell your driver you're at the corner of Ocean and Sea Gull when he/she contacts you. Overall, this has been a truly pleasurable long weekend at Seahorse. We are still here with two more nights to go, and loving every minute of it!

i'm hard pressed to really call this place a resort. it more like a historically iconic hotel, on…read morethe beach, that has kept most of it's laid back, dive-y charm, then added 2 more modern buildings on the back side that don't reflect the beachy lifestyle look. we were in one of the original buildings, our room faced a parking lot which is shared with waldo's restaurant. parking can be difficult to find a spot near your room and they encourage you to park in the back lot and walk around to your rooms, which sucks when you're trying to unload or load your car when coming or going. many of the employees park in this tiny lot and tie up space for most of the day, seen a lot of restaurant patrons leave their cars in the lot overnight, without a dash pass identifying you as a hotel guest. our room was tiny & weirdly laid out....teeny tiny kitchen without a dishwasher, so i had to put all the dishes, glasses & silverware in the sink, boil water and rewash everything because i don't know who washed the dishes before us & what their hygiene habits are. only 1 tv in the living room, which you can't see from the "bedroom" which is actually a small room with sliding panel doors, THAT DON'T WORK, for privacy if needed. the linens, bed & pillows were all clean, soft and comfortable. the amount of broken closet doors, tiles, lamps is crazy. i get the whole dive charm that they want to display, but for pete's sake, at least get a handy man in there to fix all the broken crap. if you are a stickler for perfection & posh details, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. if you can dig that lazy, laid back, dumpy divey charm, then come here. we never used the pool. the 1 pool was attached to the restaurant and all you can smell is cigarettes and listen to loud drunks & music, the other pool called "the quiet pool" was over by the newer buildings, never saw it. we don't come to the beach to swim in a pool. front desk people are so laid back & cool. this is the first time a hotel didn't ask for a credit card to be put on file for incidentals, they just said "we trust you". AND i was really surprised & chuckled at the fact that our room keys were actual metal keys & not key cards. they do push the "rustic charm" to the limit, but as long as i have a comfortable bed, a place to shower, sh*t & shave, i'm good, not on vacay to hang out in a hotel room all day, i'm there to experience the area. ***the only complaint i have is that this place considers itself a NON SMOKING RESORT, but puts ashtrays on all the tables outside of the rooms, so you're always walking through the stink of cigarettes someplace on the property
