We were attending a funeral in town. Attempted to check in at 8 pm after a long, hard day. The trainee couldn't help me, it took ten minutes to find someone that could help. When we got to the room, there was sand everywhere. The spider to the balcony would not lock. We were on the fourth floor and were traveling with our seven and three year old. Called maintenance and the trainee at the desk came and couldn't fix the lock, so we attempted to barricade it with a table haphazardly. The pillows on our king size bed were half the size of la The pool was drained. At a beach property. Zero amenities in the lobby and property. We needed a bottle of water, and the only bottled water was in a 1980's coke machine for $4 that didn't accept cards. Needless to say, not very pleasant. read more

I expected better being a Radisson. I work in the hospitality business. I would not rate this a four star. I think the employees were very nice. No feminine products to offer guests. Room did not get cold. The oven view was nice. I recommend a lower floor or you will not see the ocean without looking down. That's not the hotels fault! I want to start with our view and room was beautiful! We got this place for the room and view specifically, so we were satisfied with what we wanted. Read this whole review before judging it ! However, the bar food and drinks were BAD, your better off eating els where and coming back to swim. The bartender was also rude and over all killed our vibe. Next the shower water was cold, like I had goosebumps the whole shower and it made the soaking tub obsolete. Additionally these might be smaller details but for a $300 a night suit the detail matter. There wasn't any outlets next to or near the bed. The alarm clocks weren't even plugged in, and if you moved the bed off the wall you would find no outlets for the alarm clocks, just enough for the lamps. Besides these couple of things the room was gorgeous. I didn't take any photos but, it is an amazing view. LAST THING, after telling them the things that didn't go to great for us they did give us a large discount to make it up. Something that worth mentioning!! read more

I'm pretty sure every room in this hotel has a view of the ocean; Of course, request a room that's higher up so your view isn't blocked. I personally thought the price wasn't too bad for an oceanfront hotel. I read several reviews before we arrived and after so many mentions of the hotel being in disrepair, I was concerned. However, our room (1506) was overall fine. Could the aesthetics be better? Yes, definitely. For example, when the elevator door opened to the 15th floor, I didn't expect our room door to be directly across from the elevator. And the room door had such a drab--almost government facility--look about it. But again, past that, we enjoyed the room and especially the views! We only stayed 2 nights, and needed them to send up extra soaps. And if you've read other reviews (here or other sites), the rumors are true: you can't open the slider door that's in the bedroom. You can only open the slider off the main room. The location is great and in the vicinity of plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to do. We did a bioluminenscents kayak tour one night. Oh! And check the SpaceX launch schedule during your trip. You could have the luck of watching a space launch right from the comfort of your personal balcony. With such close proximity to the Space Force Base, we had a fantastic view and didn't even have to go anywhere. So, overall great hotel. Staff is nice. Hotel is in decent shape. Great location. Nicely decorated. They have been upgrading the hotel and putting money into the hotel. Pool area was nice with plenty of seating. Bar out by the pool which has great food. Burgers were delicious. Easy Walk to Lou's Blues next door which has different night activities and food specials. Beach easy access but has ricks which is part of this area's beaches. All staff say hello and will greet you with a smile. Tends to have an older crowd so our teenager was a little bored. Rooms clean and very large. read more

Excellent views and huge room with everything I needed. However, I found this hotel very pricey for being so outdated in many aspects. Also, could not figure out the way to go to the beach. Saw all access closed, then from my room (14th floor, cannot complain about the view from there) I saw many people walking with their dogs or just exercising. Then I realized they access through a public park next to the hotel. I had the feeling this hotel was 'work in progress' fixing stuff. Pool looks fantastic but the weather was cold, so no one in there (also went for business trip and stayed 2 nights, so no time for indulging in these pleasures, even though I think anyways nothing was working). The restaurant was weird, I am not sure if they do not exist and only are there to offer pretty bad breakfast (i did not want the buffet because did not look good, so I ordered the benedicts and were terrible and cold). It was just weird, did not feel at ease there and the coffee was terrible too (no matter there is a Starbucks sign). Food experience 1 star. Not a fancy Radisson at all, mostly a huge massive block in the beach with fantastic views. I also have to comment that my key did not work the second night, and coming back from a long day of meetings the last thing you want to do is to go and deal with the receptionists (issue promptly and nicely resolved though). I guess for tourists during summer peak time might be a good option. If I have to come back to the area again I would reconsider another hotel that has also more walk-able possibilities (I had to uber around everywhere). read more

This hotel is ONLY about the view and ocean access. If you accept the high premium for room you will likely be very disappointed. This hotel appears old, In need of better care, and feels in need of another makeover. We stayed here many years ago and it's still in need of many renovations. The positive here is that every room faces the ocean. You have open balconies to hear the water roar. The King bed was nice and soft and adjacent to the sliding door. The separate family room was also welcome with its own balcony access. Sheets and pillows appeared fresh and clean. All over the rooms you will find damaged items that need repair. Cabinets and walls are well chipped. We had a picture hanging over the light switch as if it was not measured before install. Tiles are chipped and walls stained. The floor is tile but not cleaned at all. Even on 3rd floor we had sand everywhere from the start. We would have brought an electric broom and Swiffer had we known. I hate that dirty feet feeling .. URGH ! -- we had to lay towels from tub to bed to avoid sleeping with sand. The room appeared to have been cleaned, except floors, but no real Covid markings. We rewiped all touch areas ourselves before settling in. Room did not smell Lysol or Disinfectant fresh so we did that also. Nothing to note of any extra Covid precautions. Employees were wearing mask in lobby. The common areas are stark with no seating and stripped of all the normal hotel wares. The restaurant was gone, no food pantry we noted. Small old bar at end of pool. Parking is heavily used by beachers not staying at hotel. Pool was full of sand and had broken light and wires coming out at one side. This felt like a very low end hotel with increased Holiday type pricing. Luckily we had the ocean and made best of holiday weekend outside the room. After a week the hotel did respond and make a couple reasonable offers. They admitted that hotel is not in shape needed, and they are working quickly with owners family to update and renovate. SCW and I have stayed here several times over the years. Once while surveying where in Florida we wanted to move to and a few subsequent getaways. I was surprised to find I had not reviewed it yet. However we came this time as a getaway and to watch a launch from the Cape. We got a corner suite which has views of both the Atlantic ocean to the east and the Banana river to the west as well as the city of Melbourne. The suite is quite spacious with a office area, sitting area, small fridge and sink, a separate bedroom and bathroom. The suite has access to the wrap around balcony from both the living area and the bedroom with floor to ceiling windows to best take in the ocean view. (look for Dolphins which we've seen on each visit) I enjoy the layout of the suites as they flow well, make sense, and use the space efficiently. A few chairs are outside on the balcony to sit out and enjoy the views. The hotel has a small restaurant as well as a bar. They have a pool which we didn't use and direct beach access. It was a bit windy and cooler on this trip so we didn't use any of those amenities. Check in and check out has always gone smoothly and quickly with friendly employees. The only negative about this hotel is they have sleep number beds. I really don't care for these beds as I've found if I finally find a decent number, say 30 just for reference, about 10 minutes later it will be up to 40-45 without any changes to it. That just irritates me and thankfully the vast majority or Radisson's I've stayed at have changed out of those beds. I'll certainly be back again. The suites are nice, location is great and the staff are always very pleasant. read more

The property location and views cannot be beat. Absolutely breathtaking sunrises. HOWEVER, the rooms are in disrepair. Our first room had a busted sleep sofa where our kids were to sleep. The metal support bar was broken. They probably didn't realize that so it's understandable that they overlooked it. However, the toilet was also broken. It flushed once but would not refill with water. I tried turning the water line behind the toilet but it just kept spinning. HOWEVER, the second room was leaking water through the ceiling! The drywall on the ceiling there was very discolored so I'm guessing this was not a new leak. Again the staff was very apologetic and accommodating, but the time it took to wait for maintenance to arrive, then tell us we are moving rooms each time, then pack everything back up and move....this process took a couple hours each time. I've visited this hotel for years with my family as it is a great middle ground between North Florida and South Florida. You can't get any better than a hotel that has all ocean front rooms with private beach access and a pool and hot tub with a restaurant and bar. All of the rooms have a refrigerator, a living room with a pull out bed and a gorgeous view. You can upgrade to stay on a higher floor, have a corner balcony or have a jacuzzi tub. There really isn't a bad view in the joint. My family and I love walking along the beach in the morning and then laying out by the pool during the day. The best part of having an ocean front hotel room is the convenience of escaping the sand and heat to enjoy the comfort of a room with AC. There is a Walmart across the street and plenty of great local restaurants and businesses in the area. A lot of places specialize in sea food due to the close proximity to the ocean. The hotel offer breakfast downstairs for an extra fee. I'd highly recommend staying here. I docked a star because the lobby and the dining area are outdated and need to be renovated. Luckily, little time is spent in both of these places. read more

Typical beach hotel without the frills. The location of this hotel is amazing... right on the beach. There is a pool and beach access available. Be sure to bring your own beach towels as the ones provided at the pool are very small. Pool side bar is available. All rooms have a balcony providing a view of the ocean. The wall on the ocean side of rooms is ceiling to floor glass so even when it is hot out you can enjoy the view. Room was clean. For security reasons be sure to get a room on a higher floor as room doors open to the street. Be sure to keep the door locked while you are in it. A coworker had a cleaning person walk right in the room, and when I was checking in I heard a call come in at the front desk from a panicked woman that the same thing happened to her. This seems to be a common issue here and that isn't acceptable. Staff should be trained better. I had also asked for a late checkout and the information apparently wasn't passed into the cleaning staff as they banged on my door asking if they could clean them or if I was staying over. Unfortunately the hotel is very outdated and needs major renovations to bring it up to date. There were no outlets available to plug my phone in to charge next to my bedside... the standard lamps you see with outlets were not even available. The closest outlet was in the bathroom or next to the desk which isn't that helpful. The couch in the sitting area wasn't very comfortable and could be replaced as with the rest of the furniture because most were damaged. Also, if I would have known the beds were sleep number bed, I would of had work find a different hotel for my team to stay at. It's like sleeping on a glorified air mattress. The air conditioner unit in my room was very very loud, howevThere was a small fridge in the room, bar sink and mini coffee pot. The restaurant in the lobby looks to be the only one on site and not open all day. The inside bar wasn't open that I could tell during the day, only the outside one. The restaurant in the lobby is only coffee location on site but doesn't open till after 6:30am and doesn't seem to be open all day. read more

Kc Ngo 2/5 We booked this reservation through Hotels.com. After driving 8 hours from Atlanta, Ga, we arrived around 9:30 pm to a room that had bugs. The staff was very accommodating and switched rooms right away. They are friendly and quite helpful. Come to find the next room has a refrigerator that is literally making the room shake. Although it's on and off... it's so frequent making it difficult to sleep. We're exhausted and don't want to move again. I contacted Hotels.com and they tried to assist the situation by reaching out to the front desk. Apparently, even able to provide pictures/evidence, there is nothing the hotel will do to compensate/ accommodate this issue. Came here for a spur of the moment weekend away. My husband booked us the corner room. Our room was very clean and nice. The best part was listening to the ocean waves crash while I was sleeping. Location is great, good food spots around. We ate at the outside bar and the bartenders were fabulous. All of the staff we have encountered have been wonderful. here are some of the pictures that I took, I have many more, but I don't want this to bounce, a brief synopsis of my stay at the hotel is as follows. I wanted to take my girlfriend out to the other coast and stay in a nice hotel on the beach, and treat her to a beachy luxurious getaway. The hotel as it turned out was anything but, I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that the hotel is extraordinarily dated and. ALL the finishes from top to bottom are not only outdated, but more importantly, dirty, and unkempt. Me and my girlfriend actually reached a point after attempting to go to sleep where it became clear that we could not stay in the hotel and at that point, it was simply too late to rebook elsewhere. The mattress was extraordinarily uncomfortable and dirty. The pillows were equally uncomfortable and dirty, and would compress to becoming paper thin when you would rest your head on them. The HVAC system in the room was horribly in adequate and the temperature was uncomfortable to the point of making it impossible to relax or sleep  simultaneously very obvious being extraordinarily dirty, mildew and moldy. The day after I left this hotel and currently, I have the absolute worst bacterial infection I've ever had in my life. And given the mold and toxins that were clearly present within the HVAC system in the room , I find it impossible that this is a coincidence. To say that was supposed to be magical turned into a nightmare is not a strong enough description for what occurred at the hotel. We quite literally were trapped in a room that was extraordinarily uncomfortable, and by the time it became very clear that we had to leave  and book something else, it was too late to do so and we were trapped having a very unpleasant sleepless night. In my various businesses, I stay in the hotels all around the country, many times I stay in fleabag cheap motels that cost almost nothing with my employees , and this near $300 beachfront hotel room was by far worse than any of those I've ever been to. Every inch of the entire hotel and hotel room is not only horrifically outdated, but also very dirty and unkempt and in need of replacement, there is corrosion , mildew, and rust everywhere you look, unsurprisingly. The balconies have been condemned, and someone made a very poor attempt at screwing them. Shut. As mentioned previously, I have attempted to reach Andrea Manganiello by email a couple times and I've left several messages by phone, which she did not respond to, this changed my feeling of trying to provide constructive criticism to a business that clearly needs it, to just being downright angry. I found Andrea's attempts to dodge my well-intentioned emails and phone calls astounding in light of how disgusting her hotel actually is. Considering that these rooms are quite literally condemned, the ownership and general manager of this hotel are literally defrauding consumers by allowing them to stay in this place at all under any circumstance, even for free. read more

I returned here again on business. This is my favorite all-suite hotel located on the Atlantic Ocean beach in Melbourne, Florida. I checked into my king bedroom suite 609 for $162.19 per night inclusive of all fees and taxes. I especially liked the fact I can view the ocean from my shower. My favorite suites are the end suites with wrap around windows and veranda. I also spent some time sunning at their outdoor pool and bar with my favorite margarita. My check-in and check-out went smoothly even though I had to check-out one day earlier. I will definitely return here again. read more

Room 1105 from 3.28.24-3.31.24 at Radisson Hotel on North Hwy A1A Melbourne Florida (1) No information given about balcony closures when the room was reserved. That information came only after I saw a post online and confirmed after I contacted the hotel 10 days before arrival. (2) There are no microwaves in the room. You have to go to the 3rd or 14th floor for a microwave (3) There is only paid breakfast. No continental breakfast. (4) My wife ran out of hot water in the shower on our 2 of the 3 nights we were there. (5) This is the only hotel I have ever stayed that my card was charged before the end of the stay. My wife checked us in and had to put the room on our debit card. As of right now, that card still has charges pending on it even though my credit card has charges pending on it as well. So... for a Choice hotel that charges 30,000 points per night, I find all of these issues to be very unsatisfactory and I will not stay at this hotel again nor will I recommend it to anyone else. Also, I will be stating all of the facts on Yelp, Facebook and any other social media outlet I can to help others avoid what we had to endure. read more

It was pouring rain when we got there so we were soaked and freezing when we walked in to check in. We were waiting for 10 mins before we were even recognized by the staff member that was on the phone. He began to help us and then the phone rang and he answered and was on the phone again for another couple minutes instead of asking them to hold to help us. We probably spent a total of 30 minutes in the lobby soaked and freezing just waiting to check into our room. Once we got to the room we noticed a strong mildew smell. Everything looked cleanish but smelled awful. The bed was a temperpedic but was extremely uncomfortable. It was a little sandy in the room even before we went to the beach. There was also sand in the bed. The rooms look to have been recently renovated. They all have fake wood vinyl flooring which was nice for keeping things clean. All rooms face the ocean. The higher up the better the view. They don't currently have room service or breakfast. They do have a little bar down at the pool that has bar food. We didn't try it though. The beach access was nice but there was a lot of seaweed on the beach. I most likely wouldn't stay here again. read more

View and customer service were excellent. Food at Lena's and Tiki Bar was good. The beach is beautiful and we loved talking to the people that were there with their dogs and children. Everything was great except the room. Shower had very limited hot water and toilet could only be flushed every 15 minutes. Room wasn't very clean at least not according to my standards. It's a hotel so I get it. Move them in and move them out. Sorry that doesn't work for me. I'm happy to pay top dollar, but if you can't deliver I'll have to pass. read more

The view off the balcony is amazing, and that's where the good review stops. The staff here wasn't particularly rude or especially nice, mostly just indifferent and it shows in the condition of the property. This place is like the zombie apocalypse came quite a few years ago and they have just started operating again. It's outdated. Construction is everywhere but doesn't really seem to be active. Trash bin in our hall overflowing with trash. They turned our key cards off three times during a 4 day stay. The first floor bathroom is out of order. And my search for ice about sums up our visit. Our 12th floor ice machine was broken. Sign says go to ice machines on 16th or 9th floor. I went to 16, and the machine didn't produce ice. I went to 9 and there was a sign that said the machine is broken, go to floor 3 or 6. 6 was a winner - I got ice there at my fourth ice machine. read more

We stayed in the Radisson Melbourne Beach for 9 days May 2021, and we're looking forward to being there again. Here's what you need to know: Yes, every room faces the beach, straight on. Each room is a suite, as far as I know, which is two separate rooms, each with floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors to the balcony. Balcony has 2 chairs and a small table. GREAT VIEWS!! Yes, the hotel has remodeling going on, seems slow to us, but having been small business owners, I cannot imagine the financial risk of remodeling 16 floors. In May 2021, the restaurants were closed and under total remodel. The elevator rooms where you wait for the elevators on all 16 floors were getting all new windows, so of course, the plaster work was ongoing. The hallway to the pool/beach was being remodeled, new flooring. It will be beautiful when they finish. Here's what is important: the rooms are all renovated, faux hardwood floors, which is nice because housekeeping sweeps the sand out every day. Who wants sand all over the floors, which is the cost of facing the ocean? The beds are very comfy. We have a Tempeurpedic at home, so we're spoiled when it comes to beds. Our beds was totally fine. Linens were very nice. Shower was a great; towels were not 4 star, but were OK. Just OK. Rooms have a small fridge which worked just fine, a sink, small counter. NO MICROWAVE which seemed odd. Because of Covid, no ice bucket. (Bring some baggies from home, stop at a beach store and grab a bucket.) House keeping: The hotel seemed very clean. The rooms were clean, no bugs. Due to Covid, they enter your room to clean only if you request it. We did. They did a great job every day. Tip them well. Pool Area: Very clean pool, new deck chairs and tables. Spacious wooden decking around the pool. Nice shower coming up from the beach before you enter the pool. Pool has a small covered bar for food and drinks. Nice touch. Smetimes live music, maybe on weekends only?? Beach: For us, the best part!! It's a beach, what can you say?? Nice cabana rental for chairs/umbrellas, etc. We loved it! Here's the only negative: 16 floors, the only ice machine that worked was on Floor 3. No kidding!! When these owners get done remodeling and tweak a couple customer service things, this will be a 4.5 or 5 star hotel! You'll not regret staying here. I am writing this review because this hotel gets so many 1-2-3 stars. If I had seen the old reviews before my husband had made the reservations, I would have said NO WAY!! Beautiful hotel with spacious, clean rooms...floors are either ceramic tile or carpet (I had carpet this time). Sleep number bed in the bedroom, a separate living room with a sofa, table, end chair, TV, and a small kitchenette (no microwave though). Every room is an ocean view with a balcony & beach chairs....the higher the floor the better the view...The bedroom and living room has floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, perfect to listen to the sound of the ocean as you fall asleep *smiles* Right now they're still renovating to add a 3rd elevator, but I didn't hear any noise...not even from the people next to me... The staff (especially Brian) was super nice and very accommodating...no hidden fees or surprise charges either. I may upgrade next time just to see how much better it can get... read more

We had an "so-so" experience and here's why; We had a corner suite on the 11th floor with a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was spacious and had a jacuzzi tub. The balcony was perfect and I watched the sunrise every morning while we were there. Although the room was beautiful, the housekeeping was TRASH. One day we left the room early to go out to breakfast and came right back afterward. It was clear that housekeeping had been in the room because the bed was made. Unfortunately, the counter tops were dirty and they left trash in the room. They also left clear evidence that they had smoked while they were there (check out the pictures). I initially noticed because U could clearly see the tabaco on the ground, but when I saw the ash where it was put out, I was sure. The hotel charges like $500 if you're caught smoking in the room so we reported it immediately. They said sorry but that was it. For the amount of money e paid, I expected more. I would probably stay elsewhere when I'm in the area again just based on the way they responded. read more

This hotel's biggest plus is its location and design. On the beach with all suites facing the ocean. It is, sadly, in need of a major facelift. The couch is worn, tired, and a bit smelly...a good dousing with frebreeze would help! Same with the chair. TVs are a bit small too. The balcony is great, though a little table out there would be nice. But be warned, the balconies are just small enough that you can see down into the unit below you, including a view of the bed! Which of course means the unit above you can see into your bed, especially if you sleep with the blinds open so you can see the sunrise. Overall ok. read more

Upon arrival there was a crane lifting roofing supplies to roof, very very loud!! Manager said within one hour it would be done. Three hours later still going on so I went to desk again and he offered us a $99 stay which after taxes was $150, welll the next day they were doing the roofing so nail guns going off every second and hammering and banging... $500 later ( 2 nights) and no word back from management read more

Please see photos for full review (yelp had a character limit & we had more to share): My husband & I recently had our wedding here, where we have never seen such a lack of character from management/ownership. To say we are ultimately disappointed, would be the understatement of the century. Our original contact for the hotel quit just a couple months before our wedding, we received no comfort that anyone at the hotel was capable of organizing our wedding weekend in the way that we had been promised. The new salesperson attempted to charge us extra gratuities that she miscalculated, AFTER our final payment was made based on the final contract she sent us upon our request. (Note: the GM did waive this extra fee after we spoke to him about it). We weighed our options & in hopes of keeping our wedding weekend organized & beautiful, we decided to independently hire Latasha, who had gone on to become a PERSONAL FRIEND. (Please note, she had no contract, or any sort of signed non-compete agreement with her previous employer). At this point, Latasha was not only a coordinator, but also a welcomed guest at our wedding. However, 15 minutes prior to our rehearsal (that's right, the NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING) that management would not allow her on property for the entire weekend (this had never been discussed with her). They then threw together 2 staff members, who did not have the time (they had other jobs to do) or experience to try to coordinate our wedding & it was a disaster (although they were super sweet & tried everything they could to help us, which we appreciated). My father & my then-fiance demanded to speak with management & ownership. No one would speak with them directly, they allowed the front office staff to handle everyone's frustration alone & we later found out that the general manager was actually on property but did not have enough respect to come speak to his upset customers (who were spending THOUSANDS of dollars at his hotel for this weekend). We found a last minute coordinator, who also previously worked at the hotel & they allowed this person to be on the property for our wedding day. This leading us to further feel that the decision by ownership/management was nothing more than a petty attempt to hurt a former employee (taking their paying-customers along for the ride). Unnecessary stress for all of us in a time that was already stressful enough as it was (in particular because the hotel was supposed to have all of this stuff handled). Our friend was not allowed to be at our wedding at all, despite our multiple requests & pleas. I booked a hotel room for the weekend, for convenience purposes. The night before the wedding, after our disastrously unorganized rehearsal, I had a few of my bridesmaids spend the night in my hotel room (which was supposed to be a fun, low-key, last night before my wedding). At around 1 am, we started hearing slamming doors from one of our neighboring rooms. This continued until the 4th time I called the front desk (despite security saying they heard nothing, we were still hearing concerning & consistent slamming of doors, yelling, cursing & bangs on the walls until 3:45 am). I finally fell asleep around 4 am, when I had to be up at 6 am, with 2 hours of sleep on my wedding day. (Not nearly the restful night I intended). Later that morning, we had another guest (not with our wedding party) stop us to inform us she had stepped on glass near the pool area & to be careful. I was assuming this was from a broken beer bottle (as my guests had told me they had seen many of these around the property the day before). Shortly thereafter, my sister & another bridesmaid were walking to the beach when they had glass falling on their head. Turns out, this glass & the glass previously stepped on by the pool, was from the guests in the room above ours, who had been up all night arguing, to the point of SHATTERING A HURRICANE-PROOF WINDOW. We received an apology from a few of the staff members & no further acknowledgement for the inconvenience or disturbance. Along with our experience, we had COUNTLESS complaints from our guests about the conditions of the hotel rooms. Guests found urine in the hallways, bugs in their rooms, paint peeling off the walls, broken beer bottles, etc. We were so embarrassed & disappointed by this particular issue, since we were the ones who booked and recommended this hotel to our family and friends, thinking it would be a fun & relaxing place for everyone to experience in their downtime from the wedding festivities. Note: as I was walking down the staircase to meet my husband during our ceremony, I had to step around another broken beer bottle that was directly in my walkway. read more

The hotel rooms have been renovated recently. The staff is fairly nice. What frustrates me about this hotel is they offer a coffee service from 5am-6:15am. If you don't wake and get to the lobby(while staying on the beach) by the ass crack of dawn then forget having coffee in the lobby. They charge you $3 for a cup of brewed coffee! Coffee is so cheap and it should be offered complimentary to all guests all day. The costs would not impact their bottom line at all. Besides the "dining" area really sucks. It's old, worn, dark, and tiny. Who wants to sit in that when you could grab a cup of coffee and run back to your room or head to the patio overlooking the ocean. Oh and when I asked about it the fat lady at the desk was a complete b***h. She was the only staff person at this hotel that was rude. My only real complaint is the fact they don't offer regular brewed coffee for guests. If you want coffee on your stay here pack your cuisinart from home and bring it! read more

We had a great experience here. We booked a room through hotels.com and upon check up we got upgraded to a penthouse suite! It was fantastic. This place was very clean. The view was amazing. It was nice to sit on the couch with the sliding doors open and watch a movie with the sea breeze rolling in. We ordered some room service and while the food quality was good, it is definitely overpriced. Only order if you are too lazy to leave the room and wiling to over pay. We had an excellent night sleep with the doors open and the soft crashing of the waves lulling us to sleep. They have sleep number beds and soft, fluffy white comforters. Also loved their bath towels, surprising soft and plush for hotel towels. We hit the breakfast bar in the am - great selection of items like waffle maker, French toast, muffins, eggs, biscuits and gravy, red potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal and yogurt. It is $10.95 a person. But be aware they charge you for drinks like coffee, tea, milk and OJ. I ended up spending like $8 for 2 glasses of OJ. Ugh. The place has a nice pool and hot tub but we skipped those and headed right to the beach. They do charge you to rent items like chaises, beach umbrellas, surfboards and boogie boards. The beach is pretty nice, mostly sandy with a light scattering of shells and seaweed. Water was a bit cold and not super clear but we had a great time. Will definitely stay here again the future, but will just not eat at the restaurant again. read more

I had a beautiful room this weekend (14th floor), and this past weekend (12th floor) and the previous weekend (16th floor); spotlessly cleaned and no cosmetic issues. Soft, quality comforter, pillows and sheets... nice tiled floors... mini frig and sink area... nice desk area. LOVE the fact I don't have to wonder what type of view I will get here. Some hotels will be oceanfront (with trees obstructing your room's view) OR ocean view (with a spot of it overlooking the rooftops) OR some say their hotel is oceanfront... but your room's view may not be. Note: the ONE thing I would change here is to have microwaves in each room... not just have a public microwave available on 2 floors. Every room at this Radisson is oceanfront... NO reason to wonder about what the view will be like. It's the same from every room... but WAY more majestical on the upper floors. This is what you don't get from other places nearby... yes, I checked other places nearby... but they had weekly rates and/or private rentals. Again, not sure what you're getting from there either. Two guys at the front desk have top-rated customer service skills! Andy and John. Both were helpful and easy to work with. And making things easy when you're on a weekend away is what it's all about. John called my cell when the room was ready (as I preferred to wait for a higher room to be cleaned - instead of taking a lower floor which was immediately available.) And when I mentioned an issue with an associate who wasn't as customer-friendly, Andy immediately apologized for her. NOT his responsibility to apologize for someone else... but definitely a trait from amazing hotel advocates. Both were friendly whenever I saw them... and engaging in conversations. They are the perfect examples of who should be working at the front desk... greeting guests as if we were coming into their home. Thanks Andy and John! read more

Pros: Every room has an Ocean view and balcony. Cons: Where to start? We've stayed here dozens of time over 3 decades watching the slow decline. Radisson members for years and made reservations on Radisson website,arriving at 3:00 Monday. First time in hundreds of hotel stays we were told we were too early for check in. Were given a nasty smelly room with stained ceilings and holes in walls and a chair so dirty it could have been from a yard sale. No sleep number bed as in times past. No microwave in room. No luggage carts. When we asked a bellman about this new policy we were told they weren't allowed to have guests use them anymore. Huh? The chairs outside all needed new straps. The fencing was falling down outside. Who is managing this place? Planned on staying longer but left after one night. Front desk didn't ask why, pretty sure they already knew. read more

Rooms are older and worn out. Water damage is painted over to hide. Breakfast leaves the entire lobby smelling awful for hours. Overpriced food. Bar area and breakfast area is old. Abandoned renovation attempts everywhere. Great beach view. read more
