But this place had loads of customers, and a bunch of other regulars in a side room used for gathering for in person play. Jeremy got his wish. A group of our friends are planning on getting together at least one Friday a month to play the Wheel of Time RPG. And he suckered me into joining. So he insisted that I pick out my own dice, rolling tray (the non-herbal kind), and a bag to hold the dice. I saw star wars and warhammer but since this isn't my interest anymore I didnt spend much time here. I glanced in the game room and saw people playing and an impressive painting area if the home front is too small. There is a 10$ fee per person to play in the gaming area but it's worth it. Again, lots of space to spread out. Help is never too far away. At the counter somebody can answer questions, as well as people located in the center of the store ready to help. Very knowledgeable staff helped me find a few board games that I was on the lookout for. Highly recommend Games and stuff for when you want a new board game or to have a friendly spot to play in.

The guy managing the store was very helpful! There were different items for sale and I didn't know what I needed. He explained the differences between all of the items and he helped me get what I needed for my nephew. I also learned that pre-COVID the store would host Pokémon games in one of the rooms. I think that's awesome that the store hosted games where the community could get together. I hope they resume once the COVID era ends. (Do adults play Pokémon? After talking to him, I think it would be fun to learn.) Since this was my first time in a sport card shop, I was even able to get a small pack of baseball cards for my friend who collects them. They had a large store with clearly labeled although crowded, aisles of comic, anime, cartoon, manga, clothing, and other items. This store is clearly a comic book lovers dream with a library of new and vintage ones that were for sale. They even had a basement area filled with comic books to purchase in bulk and video games to play. All in all, if you are looking for a specific comic book, manga merch, anime merch, Funko Pops and the like to add to your collection, this store is a must visit.

Toy Trains! Model Kits! And all the other art sets, car tracks, European and Japanese toys and "Stuff." You know how a modern store just has people behind the counter? Hobby Works has staff walking the floor to help you. And they really help. And they know their stuff. And when you're there, it's got that friendly clubhouse atmosphere like you stopped off here while walking home from school in the 6th grade. Sometimes it feels like with online shopping, kids won't ever experience the friendly local stores like we did. Not while Hobby Works is open, it's all modern, but it's a shopping experience that most stores lost over the years- and our kids deserve to experience that friendliness.

I then picked the truck up , asked again the issue with the parts not being able to be located and they basically had no answer for me other than "we couldn't find them online". It could have been a simple solution "do you think maybe you could source the parts for us" instead I got no call or anything, when that would have been totally okay and I could have continued to give them more things to upgrade on the truck. I guess more money saved in my pocket.. The older man who runs the store is kind but the other staff need an attitude check. I wouldn't say stay away from this place but just proceed with caution.
