    Vanilla Spice Latte
    Jasmine L.

Again, very rare to find a take away coffee joint in France. I got introduced to this place through an airbnb experience tour. They have a special vanilla spice latte that I got to try. WOW, very impressed with the taste and the latte art. They do have smaller (Parisian) portioned sized cups but the coffee is always stronger so it's worth it.

Perfect flat whites The space is great- relaxed & cool, awesome decor & they play awesome music. Let's not forget the wonderful, friendly service to top it all off! We will definitely be back. :) We didn't try the food but the menu was mighty tempting.

Thumbs up! The owner is really passionate about coffee and everything is made into perfection :) really exquisite lattes, and chocolate chaud is simply awesome! People work, read newspapers, take outs---a lovely ambience and everyone is very respectful and quite!

What a sweet little addition to the cafe scene by the canal st martin. Even though the space is small, it's super well designed, not stuffy and the owners aren't freaking out trying to calculate your every move in order to jam pack new customers inside while you chill. I was actually quite surprised that they didn't make me squeeze closer to my neighbors to fit some extra chairs in to accommodate a small group. I appreciate that (but secretly worry about their chiffres d'affaires). I swung by on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a delightful couple of hours chillaxing with a delicious homemade tisane blend of lemon, ginger and wild sage (4E) and a fabulous banana and flax seed cookie (1E) while listening to a podcast episode and knitting---I know, how very bobo of me! I definitely want to return for their savory tartines and salade specials for lunch and to grab more of those home-baked desserts as that cookie was just divine.

    Flat White x2

Just near Canal Saint Martin and in a cool neighbourhood. Coffee is great and they do a Flat White. The cafe has a hipster feel with vinyls playing and a very friendly host Beebo, who was kind enough to go into English to explain the make up of their Flat White.

A filtered coffee that is actually not overly acidic. A bit pricey (4 euros) but worth the good cup of joe in a fun neighborhood. The owners were also baking in the early afternoon so come then if you'd like to have cookie smells to compliment your coffee.

If you are feeling up to it, there's a guitar!

Really nice coffee shop in Paris. The staff are really friendly and the shop is very inviting. There is a guitar that a friend was allowed to pick up and play which was pretty cool of the baristas. Coffee is great, nice thick crema head on my black coffee. Food looks really great too. Nice friendly stop-off from a pretty hectic day in Paris.

The banana bread was AMAZING. And a flat white with lait d'amande (almond milk) :)

There was a line at the door, but it moved fairly quickly. Once inside, you're in a beautiful Beaux-Arts salon. Service generally is very good. The Chocolat Chaud is superb. There are other savories and sweets on the menu here. This time we tried a Mont-Blanc (3/5). I know this is Angelina's signature pastry, but to me it couldn't compete with the Chocolat Chaud.

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

Since it was a warm summer afternoon, I went for the Chocolat Glacé, their iced chocolate, which was a refreshing choice after walking around the neighborhood. We were too full to try any of the pastries, but the display was beautiful and made it very tempting to come back. In addition to their signature hot chocolate, they also offer a wonderful selection of French pastries, macarons, croissants, crêpes, and other sweet treats. One thing that's helpful to know before visiting is that the Montmartre branch is a takeaway pastry boutique rather than a full-service café or restaurant. Before arriving, I had imagined it would be more of a traditional Parisian tea salon with table service, but this location is designed for grabbing a drink or pastry to enjoy while exploring Place du Tertre. Knowing that beforehand helps set the right expectations. The staff member who assisted us at the counter was friendly and welcoming, making for a pleasant stop. The location itself is part of the experience. Right in the heart of Place du Tertre, surrounded by artists and the charm of Montmartre, it's an easy place to pop into for a sweet break while sightseeing. If you're visiting during the warmer months, I'd definitely recommend the iced chocolate. And if you have a bigger appetite than we did, the pastry selection looked impressive enough to make me want to return just for dessert.

Although while washing my hands inside one of the waitresses did come beside me and basically shoved me out of my way to place a serving tray on the sink in front of me??? Food is nothing to write home about but just aesthetically pleasing. I traveled with my 3 nieces who said the hot chocolate was too sweet and they're kids! Upon entering the bakery, I was greeted by the aroma of butter and the sight of neat rows of fresh pastries. I really wanted to try one of everything, but I was determined to try the pain au chocolat, a personal favorite. Le Grenier a Pain's pain au chocolat was much larger and heartier than others I've tried yet retained its buttery-flakiness without feeling too heavy. I really enjoyed the pillowy texture of the pain au chocolat, which included a generous amount of chocolate folded inside. Paired with a cafe au lait, I was in heaven. The bakery is small yet inviting, and there was no seating indoors or outdoors. While I was hoping to enjoy my pastry on-the-go, it started pouring outside, so I was forced to huddle underneath the awning while I consumed my pain au chocolat. While I'd definitley come back for another pain au chocolat, I would also want to sample their savory pastries on my next visit.
