Clear tape held the thing together and made it usable. But this was not a long term solution. While I found A2 Phone Repair with some glowing reviews on Yelp, it was the recommendation from a fellow at the AT&T Store on Washtenaw which sealed the deal. A quick phone call confirmed the screen was in stock, and produced an estimate for the price of the job and how long it would take. Drop off was a breeze. The shop was clean and professional looking. As was the fellow behind the desk. The repair took just a little longer than promised, about three hours versus two, but that was no biggie. $140 for the whole thing was worth it for my kiddo to have a phone that looked as good as new... without the hassle of setting up a new phone.

There are some projects that are larger, which require professionals. But dammit, some things I should be able to do myself, even if I lack the knowledge or the tools. But going to the big box home stores fills me with a sense of dread. They are overwhelmingly large, it's hard to find anyone who can help you, and the whole experience leaves me drained, dizzy, and nauseated. So I had what I considered a fairly clever idea. Why don't I just call the small, local, neighborhood hardware store, and see if they can help me solve my minor home repair and maintenance challenges? I'll confess that I called another store first before reaching out to Jack's. But it was at Jack's where I found the help, patience, and expertise that I so desperately needed! Project number one was removing the gunk from between brick pavers on my patio, filling them with silicone sand, and other spring yard maintenance. I had no tools beyond the phone in my hand. But Dan, on the other end of the line, walked me through the tools and equipment I would need. He told me the prices, took my order and payment over the phone, and had everything ready for a semi-contactless pick up! That went so well, I returned for project number two, replacing the window well covers that had cracked. Now I am the proud owner of my very first ratchet set! At least, I think that's what it was called. I thought I was going to need some power tool to do the job, and was prepared to drop a lot of money, but I walked out with a bill of about $30... and a Twinkie. Don't judge. It was for my daughter. Needless to say, I have no intention of ever setting foot again in one of those big box home stores. I have Jack's, and it's fantastic!

They have everything from cars, model planes, warhammer and GUNPLA. I have never seen the neku bosou series and I'm so happy that I found them here. The store is owned by a super nice couple and I am all about supporting small businesses. The prices are also very competitive! Every thing that is marked regular price is 20% off and they have a monthly competition where they gift a buyer $50 if you bought at least $20 worth of stuff. At the time of this review, it was my second visit in 20 days and I still came out with a huge haul (see pic). They are super active on their Facebook page always taking pictures of their latest arrivals. They also hold things for you at your request so that's how I came out with my next series of cats! TLDR took my laptop to Arbor Computers for webcam issue, they told me it was the motherboard and…read morenot worth fixing, returned my laptop with screen falling off and put together incorrectly. I gave them a chance to fix it, they returned the computer still broken and now with cracks in the casing. Now having the time where I did not need the laptop for a while and scared of further damage, I took it to a different store. Here were some of the damages incurred under Arbor Computers care: -Broken backplate -Broken bottom plate -Missing screws -Screen detached and held in place by super thick double sided tape -Damaged cables The business that fixed the damages said they had never seen anything like it and were baffled how Arbor Computers had cocked up such a simply job so badly. They also fixed the camera Arbor Computers deemed unfixable without a $700 motherboard replacement; the motherboard was not the issue, not even close. Once again, if you value your electronics do not take it here, especially not a gaming laptop. They have no idea what they are doing and have no care for client's property.

We replaced it only to find that the power cords had been changed out from the big box store working in it... which then burned up the new fan and aio cooler. It was a MESS. I have never had this many issues with any unit I had built in the past or with the big box retailer who was selling the components. After some consulting, returns/exchanges, Seth and I ordered a different brand AIO. He installed it, clean installed windows, did some cable management, and got my computer back up and running. He did much more labor due to the issues that arose throughout the process, but never raised his price above his maximum estimate. It was an incredible experience. He was very communicative throughout the whole work process.

Came in, dropped my computer off after they ran diagnostics with me there and 2 1/2 business days later picked it up. It works perfectly and they even cleaned it up. The cost was actually a little bit less than I was quoted and it was more than reasonable. Will definitely come back whenever I have an issue.
