Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores, well WAS one of my favorite stores. I predominantly do my shopping from Anthropologie online, but after visiting today with my sister for her birthday, my desire to spend any money with Anthro has greatly diminished. I understand wholeheartedly that security measures have to be put in place, but negatively assuming my reason for entering the store is not good for business. Do better or at the very least be less obvious. I was so ready to shop too. I knew what I wanted and seen a number of other items I would have purchased as well. Le sigh.

Cute place! Great accessories! I saw this place on Yelp and…read moreit had good reviews so mom and I decided to give it a go. This is the cutest little girly shop I've ever been in. With the gossamer curtains welcoming you as you enter, it felt like walking into a life-sized Barbie's dream shop! Not quite as many clothing options as I was hoping for, but the ones they had were definitely modern fashions. It was the accessories that will keep me coming back, though. Some of the cutest jewelry, tumblers, candles, car coasters, etc. adorn the glass and wooden shelving. Place was clean and sanitized with staff wearing masks for my safety. Also, we were told that the dressing rooms were open now and they are steam cleaned after every use. We were greeted warmly upon entry and were introduced to the different sections of the store. All in all a good experience, even though we didn't find any clothing that suited us. But, we'll be back for those accessories!

They even had a nice sale section called the pink dot which has everything marked down to $15!! The associate working was super welcoming and friendly too! I'll def go back especially for their pink dot sale section!!

We even asked an employee to be sure. Clearly, we didn't find what we were looking for. Upstairs, they have Macy's Backstage, which is essentially like a discount area. There was hand sanitizer available by the escalators. I did notice that the escalators were narrow. While simply just browsing, someone did ask if he needed any help, which he didn't. Backstage has a BUNCH of stuff. So, I would definitely recommend going there FIRST before shopping in the regular area. Ultimately, we left and went to another store to continue the search.

There was a time when Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks, etc. were about on par with each other. That time…read morehas passed. Clothing is always strewn everywhere, shelves are disorganized, and the words "neat and tidy" have no connection to this retailer. Imagine shelves of stacked shirts; someone pulls one out from the bottom, opens it up, and then shoves it back on top of the stack wadded up. No,w repeat that with the next one on the bottom, etc., and that is pretty much how the shelves are. The racks are the same, with stuff on the floors, hanging over the top of the racks, hanging by one end of a hanger, etc. Even the jewelry and watches in cases are not neat or aligned. Finding an employee here is like panning for gold in the Pacific Ocean, which is probably why nobody is around to clean things up. Finding a cashier is even more challenging than that. And when you do find an open cashier, expect silly lines. On this visit, there was a place with 3 cash registers but only 1 cashier and 9 people in line in front of us. Macy's is trying to emulate WalMart and doing a fine job. The only reason we stayed in line was that our granddaughter ate a bite of a lollipop so we needed to pay for it. We have stopped going to Macy's; this was the last time we went to one. Pretty much the only thing you find there now is store brands and clutter. You are better off going to Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, or smaller stores like Black Market, White House, Ann Taylor, Talbot's, etc. Two stars and sadness at what this brand has become.

I saw several tops and jackets that were stunning but since I've moved out into a rural area I would have no opportunity to wear these styles. They clearly serve a niche market in the main store. They have about half the store loaded with 50% off items including a huge selection of jeans, dresses, tops, some shoes and vintage items. I didn't take time to look through the racks so I really can't comment on the products offered there. It seems like an odd transition from the main room, but interesting nonetheless. There was one lady working today. She was very pleasant and made me feel welcome. It's not a shop with broad market appeal due to the price point but if you want to treat yourself to something special it's definitely worth a visit.
