She is hands down my favorite stylist now and I can't imagine I would even think about going anywhere else. She's super friendly, attentive, and experienced. And waited. 11:05, 11:08, 11:10, no text/call. Now I do appreciate how things have changed due to Covid. I am in the service field myself. But if you are going to be over 5 minutes late, you should notify the client. At 15 after, I called and, without asking my name, was told my tech was running behind. At 18 after I called again and was told they had called, probably while I was talking to them, and had left a message. But no text. The saving grace was that the nail technician was great. Worth the wait, kind of. I definitely will book with her again. The prices are terrific. However, it would still have been nice to have gotten a call to say they were running late. Since I was sitting in my car it felt as though I had been forgotten.

STAY AWAY... On October 3rd I went to Salon Loft in…read moreKettering OH to get a haircut. My appointment was at 2pm with Victoria Bond. I had a meeting earlier and had to rush to make it on time. When I went there it was 1:58pm, I waited in lobby since she told me that she would come to "greet" me there. She didn't come out, so I sent the following text at exactly 2pm, that means I was on time. Once she got my text she came out and took me in. she talks a lot and most of them are about telling me how extraordinary she is vs others. My problem started after the cut (she didn't even cut however much I told her to cut). She said curly hair should never be washed before the cut but should be after the cut. So, she started washing my hair, but the chair did not have something that supports the neck. So, my neck started hurting, she told me to stretch my legs forward to support my neck. I did but it didn't help. I clenched my teeth and tried to tolerate the pain. It didn't help so asked her it is really hurting then she put a towel to support my neck. She said she has a client that is 92 years old and "when she can tolerate that we should be able to tolerate it" and took off the towel to wash with water. Anyway, after excruciating pain for about 20 minutes, I was done. It was time to pay, I asked her how much is it? She said $90 and said normally it is $80 but since you came late, I am charging you extra 10. I was flabbergasted to hear that a simple (mine is short hair) will cost so much (never paid more than 45 in my life). She stood right beside me, very close breathing on my neck, and gave me the machine to input, and told me "Tip" so I had to put 18% tip. Everything together costed me 112.50 or something like that because she never sent me the bill. I was so devastated that I couldn't even think straight, I just paid 112.50ish for simple haircut. I couldn't sleep the whole night. When I got up this morning that is 4th October my neck was hurting and couldn't turn my neck, and it was bruised and swollen. The pain caused me to have a fever. Now I have a fever and my neck hurts. I believe this lady is so unfair with the pricing and she doesn't even have a proper chair for the customers. Today is dec 18th, so I can tell that I had neck pain for 2 weeks and couldn't drive for a week. Luckily I work from home so managed somehow.

Guess they didn't take me serious about asking for the same level of stylist. I didn't ask for someone cheap. The haircut I received was NOTHING like the initial photo grouping that I had asked for. She took over a foot off of the back of my head and now it feels like I have a bald area in the back. I can't get it fixed because the top layers are so short they almost touch the top of my ears. Mind you my hair was past my cleavage. The sides don't match in length or thickness. It looks like I have the Kate plus eight haircut with a mullet length attached on the bottom. Almost like the jellyfish hair. If don't style my hair at all and it looks like shit. I even mentioned that I air dry and I like having my hair up. I can't have all of my hair up anymore. I can't air dry anymore. I wish I had never even saw this place. I can't even fix it for at least few months now and I'm supposed to get married in less than a year....

Alex was highly recommended on here so I made an appointment with her. Everyone I talked to really hyped up the pain of a first time Brazilian, so naturally I was terrified. Immediately, Alex made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. She gave me clear instructions on what to do ad made conversation the whole time. It was not awkward at any moment and, surprise, barely even hurt! Alex explained that the hard wax used at Affinity is less painful and shows better results than strip wax. I can now say this is something I plan to continue all summer long. It's so convenient not having to worry about shaving "down there", and even better knowing I have a person to go to who is amazing at her job. Affinity is a little pricey ($67 for the wax plus 20% tip) but it's completely worth it to me.
