My dear friend took my 1996 NSX to Trenz in 1994 to put a new clutch into this car. He spent $3,000.00. They put a racing clutch into the car. Upon getting the car back, the clutch did not work properly so I took the car back. They could still not fix the clutch after taking the car back. I have hardly used the car since having the clutch put in. It may have had a faulty flywheel and that is why the car drives so differently. The car constantly shutters as you put it into first and second gear. This is Mile High Acura's guess about why the car can't be driven. Are you serious about this place? A few guys got together and decided, hey...lets get some parts together, open a garage, and rip off the people who come in here. Parts here are a totally rip off, the price of simple parts are about 25-50% higher than retail prices, sometimes even more. If you don't know anything about cars, it'll be your worse decision to come in here, they will try to get every penny from you for the dumbest things that aren't even wrong with your car. Typical money grubbing mechanics. Example: fog lights for my car were $40 a piece so $80 for a set...I found the same ones on E-bay for regular price for $30, and thats standard, all sellers were selling for that much. "There's a tiny unicorn in your muffler jumping up and down poking holes in your pipe, we're going to have to replace your entire exhaust system with the top of the line exhaust so that has an invisible force field that repels those unicorns, easter rabbits, and goblins, so that those unicorns won't come back anymore." The only reason why I'm giving them two stars is because they have a nice Skyline R34 showcar. read more

So this is one of the only all wheel drive Dynos in Denver. The guy that owns it is is really cool and answers any and all questions. He has Dynoed so many cars, he'll tell you what your car puts out at the wheels stock here at 5300 feet. It is impressive. Scheduling takes a day or two and runs $65, not a bad deal. read more

I was having issues with an aftermarket exhaust on my Dodge Challenger and the crew at Racing Trenz were sure to give it to me straight and provided me with pictures of my situation and what they think they could do. Long story short, they were able to quickly identify a quick fix for my issue and since then I have had zero issues. Couldn't recommend Wayne and Li more. ABSOLUTELY NOT A ROTARY SHOP. I had my car "tuned" by Yi. I called a few shops to find someone who could tune my 13b on a haltech and Yi definitely sounded like he knew the most about rotarys, so I went with him. I do like the shop itself, it has a local skate shop feel which invites you to hang out. When Yi went on to tune my car, he started talking down on haltech. He said that you can't control the settings. He also told me I have to drive my car under 3k rpm for 100 miles on my full rebuild. Well, I called mazdatrix and asked them how far I have to drive to break in my full rebuild, they told me to just give it the beans. I also asked who tunes their cars and they turned me onto RRR, who also tunes professional Formula Drift cars and specializes in rotary and haltech. He told me that haltech is made under the same umbrella as MoTec and you can literally unplug a MoTec and plug in a haltech seamlessly. Yi tuned my rotary like a piston engine and the fuel map showed that to me when I got home. Secondary injectors kick in around 3800rpm, so the fuel map dips right there to account for the extra fuel, mine was a straight rise. He never set up any safety parameters, so I could have also blown my engine up. They may do basic repairs and installs alright, but highly modified is out of the question. After having one bad car repair experience after another, I ended up at Racing Trenz. I had a check engine light come on after I had my clutch replaced at another shop - I was so overwhelmed (it was much more of a fuster cluck than it sounds like), I ended up buying a new car and letting my old one just sit until I could muster the strength to deal with it. I took the old car (2003 Kia Optima) into Racing Trenz and here is what they did: They ran the check engine report and did an inspection of the cause of the light (turned out to be a knock sensor and spark plugs). While Auto Zone will hook it up for free, they don't do the inspection. Racing Trenz charged me $25 to do this, which is great (he said they usually charge $75 for it). To do the repairs, it cost a total of $220. We looked up the knock sensor and indeed, they got it about $15 cheaper than Auto Zone. New spark plugs were $20. So $75 for the sensor and $20 for the plugs = $95 for parts and $125 for service. They did the work in 20 minutes. I couldn't be happier. They gave me the old parts, the check engine light is off, and the car is actually drivable now!! (It was slipping and horrible before) I will be bringing my 2001 GMC Sierra in to them to have the differentials serviced - they will do it for $100. I called around for pricing, and that is about 25% cheaper than anywhere else. Also, they are very friendly, though I did get a lecture about tune ups that kinda left me feeling like a scolded puppy, but it was funny, quite an experience...I'm not sure if he is the owner, manager, head mechanic, or what, but Yi is a very pleasant guy to work with. I was compelled to write a review after getting my car serviced here. I had some repairs on an old Toyota van and my son said take it here, the guys are good and never do repairs unless they are needed. I had a fair amount of work done and the price was *way* less than the dealer. They really know their stuff and I have to say I was quite happy with the work. It is not the nicest place around in term of looks but I just care my car was serviced correctly, so I can recommend this place highly. read more

Took my car to several shops to get my 00 Honda Civic SI to pass emissions. None of them helped, in fact the #1 "emissions" place told me that my current setup was impossible to pass emissions. I told my long story to Racing trenz and they patiently did a diagnostic and spent several days going over my car with diligence I've yet to experience from other shops. Yi, an mechanic or owner or both I don't know was very knowledgeable and was not only able to fix my car, but explain in laymen's terms what I was missing and what was necessary to pass. If you're looking to tune your ride, dyno it, install an exhaust or another aftermarket part or just regular maintenance take your car to Trenz. I've been going to this shop for the past 5 years, at first i agreed that prices seemed higher and i didnt know why. it wasn't until I purchased several "AEM" parts from other shops in denver and received cheap ebay knockoffs for AEM prices. That i returned, you get what you pay for, they offer extremely good service and excellent parts. If you talk to Yi (the owner and head Mechanic) he will explain what is best for your car. I had my mustang dyno'd last month by yi at Racing Trendz. he spent at least 2 hours talking to me about the process before he scheduled an appointment to perform the dyno. he also gave me some great insight on how to improve on my horsepower/torque numbers and suspension for the type of track racing i'm building the car for. his prices are reasonable and I definitely plan on returning to Racing Trendz for more work on my mustang. read more
