I realize appointments take precedence, but pain being addressed immediately is a good thing. Anne-Marie (?) at the desk was super helpful and though their system had a bit of difficulty (they recently switched to a new system), I was eventually registered. Dr. Altman was fantastic. Inquisitive and comforting as well as efficient, was in and out in less than an hour even as a walk-in, plus a follow-up a week and a half later. Dr. Popkin called me in to see him within a few minutes of my on-time arrival and spent plenty of time with me to evaluate the specific reason for my visit and to perform a thorough exam for other skin issues. After that has been established, I look for a doctor that I can relate to. Is he/she genuine and caring? I have found my ideal dermatologist in Dr. Cheryl Citron. I had an appointment with Dr. Citron about a month ago and I was treated to one of the best doctor/patient experiences in my over 50 years. Even though her office was busy, Dr. Citron took the time to meet me, understand my medical problem and concerns and treated my condition with much success. I have just made another appointment with Dr. Citron for a full body exam. She is the best dermatologist in her own private practice, not a group factory/mill that so many doctors have joined. You will receive personal, private medical attention that you will never get in one of those large group practices. I want to support doctors like Dr. Citron who put her patients first, before corporate medicine. A grateful patient
