Turning away a paying PREGNANT customer due to "not having a public restroom" after sending me to another store that wasn't open yet. Worst Customer service I have ever experienced at a Hallmark store. I was going to purchase a millennium falcon Star Wars ornament. They only had the display and the manager refused to get the box. We tried to work with her and even thought we would get someone to pick it up, but we are leaving after visiting some friends and flying back to Tennessee. The manager wouldn't budge, she would not get the box and I didn't want to carry it on the plane to have it busted up. We got a refund. I called corporate and spoke to customer service and they tried to intervene...but the customer service person told me that when she called the store...the manager hung up on her and she will be sending up the next level of their corporation offices to address their professionalism. I purchased a Christmas present at the store on Nov 17th and my daughter ended up receiving the toy from someone else. We tried to return the item the week after Christmas and were told no "because their return policy is 30 days". Every store worth anything gives a grace period for Christmas. No store credit, nothing- just refused. We won't be shopping here anymore. read more

I went into Rachel's Hallmark in Tyler, TX today. I was disappointed because they did not have ANY of the Hallmark movie items that are currently out or any Hallmark movies. I could deal with that even though I was disappointed. The real issue I have was went I went to check out. I had several coupons to redeem from being a Hallmark rewards member. She rang up my purchases & started to enter my coupons. She tried scanning in my coupons & said that it wasn't taking them. She finally looked again & told me that "Oh, the system is down so it won't take your coupons, but you can go ahead & purchase these items without using the coupons." Why would I want to do that? I went into the store to redeem the coupons that were given to me by Hallmark as a reward for being a loyal customer. You tell me that you can't except the coupons because your system is down but it is up enough to take my money?!? Needless to say that I walked out without making any purchase & will not be returning to this store again. The customer service has always been poor when I have been in there but this sealed the deal for never returning. While I was standing in a long line they ask every customer if they would like to become a rewards member. Why would anyone want to do that when you will not honor the rewards given for being a loyal customer?!? read more

I have been to the Tyler Rachel's Hallmark many times for cards and gifts, never had a problem until today , 8-15-18. I had my 3 and 5 year old grandsons with me. I was getting a anniversary card for my spouse. As I was looking for a card, my 3 year old grandson started telling me he needed to potty. I told him they did not have a bathroom for him to use. He started whining saying I need to go potty bad. I ask the clerk if it was possible for him to use the bathroom . She said she would have to find out and could I wait . As I was waiting I could hear the conversation she was having with the other person. She said we don't have a public restroom and all they do is per all over the commode and it smells like tee tee. I picked up my grandson and we left. If they feel that way about a customer's 3 year old grand child , which was not a planned potty break, then I don't need to and will not be going back. It is a sad day when a business can not accommodate a child. The Henderson , TX and Nacogdoches, TX Hallmark's do not treat their customer's and their little children that way . I will be spending my money with them!!! read more
