What's worse is that they made us wait around for 1hr+ after getting all our info and running our credit to tell us this..... saying "we have 10 other people interested in this car". I recently attempted to get additional information about a vehicle advertised on Raceway Nissan's website. I sent multiple detailed emails asking very specific questions about whether the vehicle required any addendums or mandatory add-ons to complete the purchase. Despite these clear and polite inquiries, I received zero substantive responses from any actual staff member. Instead, every email triggered the same generic autoresponder stating that "someone will contact you soon." That never happened--not once, even after several follow-ups. It is extremely frustrating to be completely ignored when you are genuinely interested in purchasing a vehicle. To make matters worse, it appears that the internet manager, Liz Lopez, actively blocks or filters emails when customers ask direct questions. After sending reasonable follow-up inquiries, my emails stopped receiving even the automated acknowledgments. Blocking a potential buyer for asking standard purchase questions is shockingly unprofessional. Additionally, the dealership's AI chat system (or automated messaging service) repeatedly spammed my inbox with canned, irrelevant messages. The chatbot, identified as "Rachel Smith," provided no useful information and failed to address any of my actual questions. This is not customer service--it is automated noise designed to create the illusion of engagement without offering real assistance. This level of disregard for prospective customers is unacceptable. If a dealership cannot respond transparently to basic questions about pricing and add-ons, it raises serious concerns about how they conduct business during the rest of the buying process. Based on this experience, Raceway Nissan demonstrates very poor customer service. I would not recommend Raceway Nissan and strongly suggest looking elsewhere to avoid unnecessary frustration. read more

Very concerning experience at this dealership. During my vehicle transaction, I handed over my government-issued ID as requested. Later, after receiving inconsistent answers about where it was, Christian admitted he had taken my ID home. When I questioned why my personal property was removed from the dealership and told him that was unprofessional, he began raising his voice and accused me of being "hostile." I calmly explained I was not being hostile -- I was concerned and simply wanted to know how I would get my ID back. We then spoke with a manager, who initially said Christian should not have taken my ID home. At that point, Christian changed his story and claimed it had been placed in a lock box by a janitor. We were told not to worry and that managers had access to retrieve it. After waiting over two hours and hearing shifting explanations -- including that a "special key" was needed -- a sales representative finally informed me that Christian had actually been sent home to retrieve my ID. So the lock box story was not true. He did, in fact, take my ID home. The dishonesty, constant changes in explanation, and complete lack of accountability are extremely troubling. A government-issued ID contains sensitive personal information. Removing it from the dealership without a customer's knowledge and then providing false explanations is completely unprofessional. Use extreme caution and keep control of your personal documents if you choose to do business here. read more

I recently came across the old Yelp review I wrote about Raceway Nissan years ago. My dad had found a truck he really liked, and the dealership promised him a deal. The next day, they backed out and said it was a "weekend special," even though nothing on the paperwork or window mentioned that. After I posted my review about what happened, they reached out to my dad and told him if I took the review down, they'd make the original deal happen and even deliver the truck to his job in Anaheim. My dad agreed because he really wanted the truck. When they showed up at his work with the truck and papers to sign, they kept reminding him, "Remember to tell your son to take down the review." It was obvious they cared more about their online image than doing the right thing from the start. Now, years later, I looked them up again and it's sad to see they're still doing the same shady stuff to other customers. It just proves nothing's changed. read more

Had a similar issue as William B. Like most other dealerships, they have a place on their website where you can get a "best price" by filling in some information, including email. I always hesitate to provide dealerships with my phone number as many will begin spamming you. Anyway, I received an email back from a "Rachel Smith" who has a title of Virtual Assistant. I didn't know at the time but Rachel Smith isn't a real person, it is AI. I had a suspicion with the title of Virtual Assistant but I also think that they shouldn't name AI as a real person, or they should identify it as AI somewhere in the signature. Anyway, the AI kept trying to get my phone number through email and never provided the information I was requesting. When I asked to have a reply from a real person, it said that someone would reach out via email. Nobody ever did. read more

Unless you're planning to finance with them, don't waste your time. I contacted them from out of town regarding a great deal on a used car. I made the mistake of telling them too early on that I had a pre-approved loan, I was just hoping to convey that I was ready to go with this car. The salesperson said I should apply for financing to see if they can offer me a better APR, so I did and I was notified by my bank they checked my credit soon after. Keep in mind, the salesperson told me it would be a soft check. It wasn't. The next day I get a text that they don't have that car. I call the salesperson who checks and it's apparently in a different area of the database. Weird, but okay. She puts me on the phone with Cameron, Director of Internet Sales. I explain my situation with the pre-approved loan and that I was interested to see what they could offer me for financing. My guess is that it wasn't comparable, because he never called me back with the quote like he said he would. It's very clear that I'm low priority, probably because I can't come to the dealership for them to push another car on me nor will I be financing with them. These both seem to be common experiences based on other reviews. Rachel kept reaching out even though no one else was following up and I told them it didn't make sense. I say "them" because I don't know how a real person could be so dumb to not finish an email. Update - They're still calling me as if I'm someone they've never spoke to before! read more

We had a phone call to review the numbers because we were going to drive for one hour. Numbers were assured. When we arrived we expected to meet with the person who gave me the numbers over the phone. They assigned a salesman who we never had contact with. This was a red flag! He said there is no way we could get the discount and 0% interest on the loan. Well, he was correct. What a waste of time! We then drove to Cerritos Honda and worked a deal on a 25 Honda CRV. The sales people here were all very nice You just have to go in knowing that the prices are advertised are not the prices that you will pay. Like mini dealers nowadays there are hidden alarm system systems and clear coats and other items on the car that they will not allow you to remove. They are transparent and admit that they price the cars under blue book to bring in people and then add in these items to Jump the price back up and make a profit. It was good vibes and of course the coffee machine vending machine and lounge area while you wait really makes it a comfortable setting. I told him that I had a nissan Altima trade in with 0 down payment and a pre-approval from capital one. I texted Pete and he didn't help much As he never called me back and only communicated via text. This is not great customer service. I decided to go down there in person in hopes that someone could let me know something and nothing. I to this day have not received a phone call about my credit score. I was told by Pete via text that I was going to have to put 11,000 down but he didn't quite say why. I will never be going back here again. Never, I repeat Never buy or attempt to buy a car from these con artists. I scheduled an appointment regarding a used vehicle they had for sale. I got text confirmation the car was available the day before my appointment. I live in LA and was 78 miles from dealership. When I got there I found out they sold the car two days prior. They never contacted me. I scheduled the appointment around my work schedule so i was up at 5am, to be there on time at 9am. All i wanted was an all electric EV. They only had a tesla, not what I wanted. Dont you think I deserved the common courtesy to be told the car is not available? I would have cancelled. So there you have it, can you trust this dealership? No, who would want to deal with unprofessional individuals? I never got an apology and the funny thing is, they have a huge banner outside that reads, "Under New Management, New Attitude." They still need an attitude adjustment. Never buy a car from there.
