They no longer answer their phone in this location. You can hear when someone picks up the phone then places your call on hold again. The staff used to be consistently kind when you would walk in or go through the drive through. No more! When I typically pick up medication here I don't get a prior email, text, or phone that my order is ready. I've mentioned it to them they just say they'll reset my phone to receive calls. Still no change! Today we went in to purchase Mylar balloons, because their inventory is so low we thought we'd purchase them and come back with our receipt in 6 days and have them fill the Mylar balloons with helium. We were highly disappointed when the manager told us we couldn't do that. Her poor reaching for a justifiable excuse was when you pay for balloons at a party store you have to take the balloons with you at that time!!! Anyone that has ever purchased balloons at a party store knows this isn't true! You can pay for your balloons ahead of time and pick them up at a later date example: the day you're having your party!

I had major dental surgery a couple weeks ago, drilling screws into my jaw. My Dr prescribed me pain meds and because she said there were "interactions" she didn't want to fill it. It's not her decision to fill it or not. My pain management Doctor decided that it was safe for me to have this medication. She then asks.. "Are you still in pain?!" and I said, of course I'm still in pain, that's why my Dr ordered the meds. She then replies, "okay I'll do it this one time". Can she even do that??!! I need a new prescription filled and I'm literally afraid to call there to have it filled.

My family and I have been loyal CVS customers for many years. When I relocated here over two years ago, I hesitated to transfer my prescriptions because I feared I would not receive the same quality of service. Sadly, that fear became reality as I often felt dismissed, rushed, and met with little empathy or professionalism. I was close to moving my family's prescriptions elsewhere. Today that changed when I was helped by Kallen. She showed me kindness, respect, and genuine care. She listened, took the time to help, and treated me as a valued customer, which means so much when it comes to healthcare and medication. Part of the reason is they are so close to us and we can do other shopping while there. But what is even better is that the staff is always super friendly and helpful. Even today (2/14/2026) one of the staff members we know already had my prescription ready before I reached the counter. :) In another situation we were going on a 2 weeks cruise and I was going to run out of medication during the cruise and even though the insurance said we had to wait, the pharmacist called them up and was able to get the refill in early going above and beyond so I had enough to cover me during our trip. We plan on continuing to come here as long as we live in McKinney. Thanks!
