Didn't expect this place to have an actual kitchen attached and a cash checking place also. We ordered 14 barbacoa tacos and the chicken tacos with the spicy hot sauce on the side. It's a little small but it tasted amazing and the spicy sauce is the perfect compliment to it . I will definitely stop by here again if I'm ever around McKinney.

RaceTrac Gas Station - McKinney, TX 12/01/2025…read more (2/5) This RaceTrac is... meh. ‍ I've stopped here a few times now, and it's always the same story: Bathrooms: Not very clean. Not terrible, but definitely below normal RaceTrac standards. Could use more frequent checks. Customer Service: Basically nonexistent. No greeting, no acknowledgment -- just a very "you're on your own" kind of vibe. Overall: It works for a quick pit stop, but it's missing the friendliness and cleanliness RaceTrac is usually known for. A little more attention to detail and customer engagement would make a huge difference. 2 stars -- not awful, not great... just meh. ‍

The message on the pumps said "pay inside". When I went inside there was a hand written sign on the door that said "no Gas". The last time I went by, about a week ago, there was sign on the door that said "closed". Not the best customer experience when there are other gas stations near by.

I was looking for one of the new Elf on the Shelf posable elves and I hit the jackpot! It is a boy elf and he has wire in his arms and legs so it's easier to pose. This store had a huge parking lot and was easy to get in/out. The checkout line was super short so I was able to be in my way quickly. Cashier was very friendly. Then they told us they were tied, but they were not tied balloons, and then when we brought the balloons and took them out of the bag, they all went up high in the ceiling. The next day I stopped in for a gift card and used self-checkout, as I always do, for a debit transaction. The machine allows it. An older employee stepped into my personal space and started telling me what to do. I made clear I didn't need help; he ignored that and took over the machine himself. Self-checkout plainly supports debit purchases, including adding funds to a video game gift card, the system wouldn't offer it otherwise. it's not some random employees decision, the self checkout doesn't matter...If staff understood their own equipment, that interaction wouldn't have happened. I'd rather see the team focused on keeping the store in order than on directing customers who are managing fine on their own.
