I was running errands in the area and wanted a quick - really quick - bite to eat. I thought this…read moreupscale convenience store might be a good option. I'd stopped in once for beer and knew it was pricey, but locally owned convenience stores are typically pricey. And I know the rent here must be hefty, so... I get it. It's a nice little store - well stocked with impressive variety. Mind you, they don't have much in the way of meals to-go, but that wasn't too surprising. I think they're catering to locals by having an excellent wine selection, a respectable beer selection, and a good to very good selection of general food groceries. The store was very clean. After deciding that a pre-packaged, mass-produced sandwich sounded awful, I pieced together a fun on-the-road meal of crackers and cheese. They had 5 varieties of Triscuits, which was a pleasant surprise, and I settled on the smoked gouda. Good choice - rich, flavorful, salty. Instead of a block of cheese, I bought two cheese sticks (I know, I know) to eat with my Triscuits. It actually made for a yummy and healthy on-the-fly meal. The lady running the store had the air of being the owner, but I'm not sure. She was on the phone the whole time, speaking what turned out to be German. She did pause long enough to talk to me when I was ready to check out, but she didn't acknowledge me otherwise the entire time I was there. And I was there longer than planned since Yelp was in serious need of some pics of this place... So minus one star for lack of customer service. When you pay a notable premium for a locally owned, high-end food mart like this, it'd be nice to be acknowledged. $5 for the Triscuits and cheese sticks were $1 each. $7 for a very quick, healthy meal with delicious Triscuits left over. Pricey? Very. But that wasn't surprising. A well-stocked mini-grocery store in a high-rent area of town is there for convenience, and you pay for convenience. Period. But at least it comes with selection and covers a lot of bases in a small space.

We come to the shops of legacy quite often and tonight we stopped by and tried to buy something and…read morewas told cash only in a very rude way. I did not appreciate the customer service and will not return ever again and I will share my experience in social media for people to be aware. My advise is for the owners to make sure their employees act professionally to avoid costing them money.

It's a bit annoying to have to go inside to pay every single time, and today when I tried to pay it actually said my card was full on declined 3 times in a row. I went to try paying inside and the same thing happened with the card reader inside, so I called my bank to see if my end was the issue - they had zero attempted transactions on the card and it seems the problem is that the readers at the gas station were simply offline and not even connecting through to the bank. It's frustrating to struggle this much just to pay for gas. Also, they recently added non-stop advertisements on the screens at the pump that yell in your face the whole time with no way to turn them down or off. I just want to pump my gas and contemplate these crap gas prices in peace, life isn't that Black Mirror episode yet where we are forced to look at ads shoved in our faces 24/7 - this is annoying.

This location is my go-to for beverages on the way to my office, as well as the occasional fill-up…read moreor snack. Despite a lot of construction worker traffic, the staff does a good job of keeping the store clean. The gas pumps are maintained well, and this area is clean, too. One thing that's personal to me is that they carry the full line of Java Monster energy drinks including my beloved Vanilla Light. Very few stores carry this variety, and it's cheaper here than at the grocery store, so it's a regular purchase. They also have a wide variety of other soft drinks at reasonable prices. There's a dedicated walk in cooler for beer if you prefer the more mainstream fare, as well as a selection of small and full size bottles of wine. Finally, my newest discovery, this place has the most awesome air pump ever. Yes, air pump. It accepts credit cards (including chip) and even Apple Pay/Google Pay, and while it may seem expensive at $1.50 for 5 minutes, it's worth it. Dial in your desired pressure, and put it on your tire. The machine does the rest, and beeps when the target pressure is reached. Repeat for the other tires, and you're done! My car's tire pressure monitoring system read within a pound of what I dialed in on the pump, for all four tires. Easy and quick! Bottom line, this location definitely puts the "convenience" in "convenience store". I'm a fan.
