We wanted to take photos from our room to the outside since the lake was the view we were paying for, but the windows/screens were so dirty that we couldn't even take a clear photo. When we opened the window to get some fresh air inside, the window sill was disgusting. We felt that with the lake view being what would make this room desirable, the windows should be clean at the very least. After we settled in we had drinks on the patio. The setting was lovely and we enjoyed the cocktails. We had checked a couple sources online regarding the in-house restaurant and it looked higher end to us. We felt that this would be a good choice for our anniversary celebration. We had 7:15 dinner reservations and we were seated right away. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and it was very good, however, our forks were removed with our appetizer plates. Next, we had soup which was good but cold. After we barely started our soup, our entree was delivered. We still had no forks and it took a while before we could get the attention of our server, but we were able to flag down a different server who brought us forks. My husband had the burger and it was average. I ordered the BLT spaghetti and it was probably the worst meal I have ever been served. It was cold, probably because of the wait for our silverware, the sauce was watery and the pasta was awful. I'm not sure what the chef did to the pancetta, but it was like no pancetta I have ever experienced. It is so embarrassing to complain about a meal and send it back, and we just never do that. But this was so bad that I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Once my husband was almost done with his meal, our server noticed that I did not eat mine. We politely told her the issues and she kindly offered to bring me a replacement meal. But honestly, at that point my husband was just about done eating so it really didn't make sense. We were credited for the meal on our check. We had read via text that if we needed ice or wanted to inquire about a late check out, that we could call or text. There was no phone in our room and we did text, a couple times, and never got a response. So no ice, no late check out. We brought our phone chargers and plugged them in before bed so we would have a full charge by the morning. Apparently the plug next to the bed was dead. We moved the charger to the plug near the TV, which was also dead. So our phones did not get charged fully before we checked out. The TV volume was not operable, we assumed it was intentional to keep the volume low between rooms. But with the window open we could not hear the TV at all. Since check out was at 11:00 am and breakfast was only served until 10:30, we didn't make it up and out in time to be able to take advantage of that. We didn't really want to set our alarm in the morning on our anniversary celebration. We had looked forward to sleeping in a bit. Upon booking our room, at check in and also as we were seated for dinner we were asked if we were celebrating something special. We let each know that we were celebrating our anniversary. Odd that we didn't even receive a "Happy Anniversary" note in our room. We travel often and feel that this was not the experience that we should have received for the price and location. All this being said, we did respond to the feedback request from Vincent Michael Wine and they responded to us immediately. Basically they acknowledged our concerns and will share them with the staff. We hope that others will have a better experience than we did! This may be a nice place to stop in for wine tasting in a beautiful setting but we would never spend the $500+ per night for the overnight stay.

We went there saw the place and booked it on sight we loved how it looked with its beautiful chandelier. The day of the wedding we were allowed full use of the beautiful changing rooms where we had the hair stylist come in. Now we had the wedding and the reception there and both were perfection. The food was soo good but we had two special orders that came out nearly at the end of dinner service that was frustrating but all the other stuff that they did for us more then made up for that one minor slip up. Now truly the venue is beautiful, the food was delightful, but the true highlight of this place is the staff they are worth the five stars alone. The bartender we had was funny, nice, and mixed one hell of a good drink ( his Long Island ice tea on the beach so good and strong). The wonderful girls who waited on us not only helped serve food at the buffet, helped decorate, helped take things out to the car, and also kept a watchful eye on the guests (stopping a theft) but could not stop saying how lovely it was and how nice every one looked. Live music on a sat evening with a beautiful view of the manicured property, we had a big table that they held for us ahead of time as we called an hour before getting there. They don't take reservations but if you give them a heads up, it'll be smoother for both parties. The place was so lively and everyone who served us were friendly and so accommodating! Our kids went outside and played catch while us adults relaxed and enjoyed the wines, you can see them from the massive windows. The food was wonderful, the goat cheese fondue isn't too rich like a traditional cheese, try it! The hanger steak was so tender and juicy, scallops were not overcooked.
