The building itself is stunning, with great architecture and tons of natural light that makes walking through the galleries feel really open and peaceful. They have works from Monet and other well known artists, which was really exciting to see in person. There's a lot to explore, so I'd recommend setting aside a few hours to really take it all in. Just make sure to plan your timing because they close at 5 PM. The staff throughout the museum were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. There's also a large gift shop with lots of unique items and a cafe inside the museum, which is nice if you want to take a break during your visit.

At these events food alcohol nonalcoholic beverages are served. I say this because most responsible people call Ubers/Rides to pick them up safely, well when the event was over at 10 people picked up there things at coat check and proceeded to the vestibule to wait on their rides and Ubers. This was around 10-10:30 pm and the police that were hired at event forced everyone to stand outside. Keep in mind it was about 6 degrees in Cleveland. I understand the event was over and they had to close but grace should've been given considering the weather. Although the event was nice maybe you shouldn't attend in the winter because they'll put you out.

The park itself serves as a historical landmark for the Hulett Ore Unloader machine, which was invented in the late 1800's by Clevelander, George H. Hulett, and was used in the Great Lakes during that time. Part of a machine is on display at the park! Also, at this park, there is a Merchant Marine Memorial which pays tribute to notable people who were involved with the harbor. Many of the park benches are dedicated and there is a path where each brick is dedicated to a person, business, or group from the area. Point Park does need some TLC and upkeep, though. There's some trash around and kids have started to deface the Hulett machine with graffiti, which is sad. But, overall, this is a nice, quiet park to enjoy with family, watch the boats go by, and learn some history on the area.

Just a heads up, you are eating out of cardboard, takeout boxes, which doesn't bother me because the food was so good... But I think it's worth mentioning. The burgers were around 20 Ish dollars so on the high end, but again we are kind of paying for the experience. It just made me smile being there. We were there about three days after they opened, so the whole experience was still pretty brand new.

The tour itself was 2 hours, the tour guides on my date August 31, 2025: last tour of the day 2pm, were informative, interactive, and made me feel like I was in Christmas heaven. The tour in my opinion is geared toward for kids 6 and up, and everyone else after that. All of our tour guides, hilighted there areas well. If you ever find you have to reschedule your tour, the staff are more then eager to help with that. Check in through the black doors, at gift shop ; be sure to browse and take home a piece of christmas or other souvenir. Everything about the tour epic, loved it all from Santa squeeze, to Grand Ball room to room with all the toys, restoration room, the slide from Christmas Story, Lord & Taylor clock at the start of the tour, all the Christmas windows. Look forward to returning and seeing all the new additions in future. Cheers to 10 years !!

The gift shop was open and it was everything we hoped it would be for the Christmas story gift shop. Lots of Christmas decorations, bunny suites, pink Christmas tree, leg lamps, and cool nicknacks. But the movie -- perhaps the dude who narrated it -- is just not my bag. Maybe it's the whiny little brother ... I don't know. The house, however? That's a totally different story. People line up here like it's the last place on earth. They dress up in bunny costumes and climb under the sink for photos. It's really cool to see this. Plus the place is nicely adorned with movie props. Only so many people can be inside the house at one time (fire codes), which makes it easier to grab photos. I'm told there is a line during the Christmas season, and that was certainly the case on my Dec. 24, 2025 visit. Good news: It moved quickly. There's a gift shop across the street, along with a museum, and the car and fire truck from the movie. For fans of this movie, this small block is Mecca.

We were disappointed to find that the "playground" only consisted of a wood balance beam, different size stepping logs, and a climbing wall. There was nothing appropriate for my youngest, and my oldest only played for 5 minutes before telling me, "Mommy, this isn't fun. Can we go?" Next, we went inside to check out the Nature Center, and I was pleasantly surprised. The kids had a great time crawling through the giant tree, looking at taxidermy, reading books, playing games, and seeing live animals like turtles and snakes. We spent a half hour playing. I don't think it's worth a 45 minute drive, but if you're in the area or driving through, it's a great place to keep your little ones busy for an hour or so. There are also beauthiking trails that we didn't have time to explore.
