This is the final show for our 2021 subscription and I can't wait until 2022! This year we were delighted with Always.. Patsy Cline, Daddy long legs and finally the Marvelous Wonderettes. All three shows this summer were awesome! The Patsy Cline story and music were excellent, Daddy along legs was fun, romantic and historical. The Marvelous Wonderettes had my dad reminiscing and even brought to a tear or two with fond memories of his younger days, Awesome theater moves people, emotionally through laughter and tears! Spirits lifted, this is True Entertainment !! To say this is a hidden gem in northeast Ohio is an understatement. Under the executive director leadership of Brint Learned, we've seen this theater continue to shine brighter and brighter. We missed it in 2020, and are so glad it safely returned to operation in 2021. My husband and I proudly donated to the new chairs campaign, and wow, what a difference they make! The barn not only hosts groups, partners with local wineries and bed and breakfasts, they are a year round arts education association. The rich history of this site is incredible. Once you visit, you will probably ask yourself, why didn't I come sooner!? If I could give 10 stars, I would !! Thank you to all the talent that continue to deliver high caliber productions. Whether you are on stage, support, musicians, stage crew, lighting, office, your energy, passion for the arts is something to be proud of !! A million times thank you ! You are able to camp on their farm…read morein the meadow with your tent, they have their own little hut called the "peace portal" that has a bed, or you have the option of staying in their covered wagon. Your night stay whether tent, camping, or in one of their facilities comes with breakfast in the morning. You can book on their website or go through hipcamp. There is drinking water and a flush toilet on site for campers to use. They also do different yoga classes lead by Em Keen either in or outside based on the weather. They have a yoga platform in the Meadow, which is amazing. Chris has her own art studio beautiful art that is for sale. Alan makes all different types of sourdough breads, cookies, rolls, pies, and bagels. They also sell their own honey and eggs from their many chickens. You can order on his website. I went September 2023 for their second ever mind-body wellness retreat. It was an amazing 24 hours. A friend and I went to celebrate my birthday. We started out with a tour of the beautiful farm led by Alan. We then had our first class which was yoga, led by Em. we took a little break for lunch, which was homemade soups in homemade sourdough bread bowls made by Alan. We then had a little bit of relaxation time and time to mingle with each other before having a Qigong lead by Paul Zegarac - this was great and extremely interesting. A practice I've never tried before. We then had a mindfulness class back out on the yoga platform in the Meadow, led by Em. we then spent time with other retreat members just visiting before making our own homemade stone oven pizzas made with Alan's homemade sourdough pizza dough. They had a lot of toppings for us to choose from. for a last class of the day we had a sound bath, which was extremely relaxing and led by Mary Conley - as the sun was setting. To end our day we had a closing ceremony around a bonfire, which was just so emotional and memorable. We made s'mores the fire before going to bed. The next morning, Alan and Chris made us French toast buffet breakfast with two different kinds of homemade compote with yogurt and granola , and even some of their honey from their farm. Going to Flannel Dog Farm was an awesome experience, and I look forward to returning!

Had my wedding there on October 25th 2014 after another place to be unnamed canceled the month…read morebefore. We went there saw the place and booked it on sight we loved how it looked with its beautiful chandelier. The day of the wedding we were allowed full use of the beautiful changing rooms where we had the hair stylist come in. Now we had the wedding and the reception there and both were perfection. The food was soo good but we had two special orders that came out nearly at the end of dinner service that was frustrating but all the other stuff that they did for us more then made up for that one minor slip up. Now truly the venue is beautiful, the food was delightful, but the true highlight of this place is the staff they are worth the five stars alone. The bartender we had was funny, nice, and mixed one hell of a good drink ( his Long Island ice tea on the beach so good and strong). The wonderful girls who waited on us not only helped serve food at the buffet, helped decorate, helped take things out to the car, and also kept a watchful eye on the guests (stopping a theft) but could not stop saying how lovely it was and how nice every one looked. Then the amazing event coordinator she was there helping with everything and was such a pleasure to work with! I plan to go to their restaurant soon! This club used to be great! I started going here when I was six or seven as my parents are still…read moremembers. But I'm sad to say it's been going down hill. The grounds are still well-kept but the service has gotten really, really bad. Prior to last evening, I hadn't been at the club since around Christmas, where the service was slow. The waitress from last Christmas was really nice and apologetic and someone brought us a free appetizer, which was a nice gesture, but the wait was much too long. Fast forward to yesterday evening... a total dumpster fire when it comes to service. Now, a country club should have impeccable service. There was a time when the Kahkwa Club trained their servers well. And I have fond memories of the older servers being wonderful - especially during the fall/spring Sunday buffets (the waitress staff were all older ladies and they were great - they did their job very well and were friendly). Regarding yesterday evening, our waitress, named Nevena K (that's the name printed on the bill) was an awful waitress whose personality is even worse. I don't know what Nevena's damage is, but after we waited 15 minutes for water and my mom asked her where she had been, Nevena's nastiness showed full-force and she made certain to make her malice known by her use of extreme sarcasm in the tone of her voice. Although she had brought rolls to other tables, we weren't given any. And when my mother asked for rolls she made certain to bring us a basket with TWO ROLLS (for three people). Yeah... point taken. You didn't want to give my mom a roll because she got on your bad side. We spoke with Tom about Nevena's attitude problem and he stated we would be given a different waitress. Well, that did not happen. Instead, when our food was brought out my father and I asked Nevena for ketchup for our french fries - and we were not given ketchup; she never brought us any. After we finished our meal Nevena brought us our check, gave us one last dose of sarcasm and we left. My parents are considering canceling their membership after more than 30 years. Personally, I hope they do it as I've had much better service at Denny's. The garbage level of service we dealt with last evening was ridiculous and Kahkwa grill room management should be ashamed they have a member of their staff who speaks to members with such rudeness.
