Second time here and I loved it!!!! It is so much fun and entertaining going to future and holiday cheerful memories with decorations and holiday movies. I really appreciate the hard work from Mark the creator but his staff works hard. Check it out I want you to go so will not share all my experiences.

Best part was the Christmas Story slide at the end! Did not expect it to be a 3 hour guided tour through each little cramped room and be explained the minutia details about every random 80s Christmas movie HA! The spinning throw up tunnel at the beginning didn't help! Haha Love the commitment to the season but would have been nice to see a single Nativity scene! Merry Christmas cousin Eddie!

Had a family dinner tonight at Castle Noel at the Starlight room. Great atmosphere, great food and a great place to visit . It was a memorable time.

Our first time and we loved it. It is a lot of walking and standing. It was a bit long for our 5 year old. I would recommend 6 years old and up. Tons of fun stuff inside with amazing displays.

The tour guides are very enthusiastic!

This is a big, very decorated Christmas museum tour. It takes about 2 hours. In my opinion, it's not for very young children, they might get bored with all of the talking. You get passed off to a different tour guide for every leg of the tour. It was meaningful to hear the story of the owner of Castle Noel, and why Christmas means so much to him. It was a secular take on Christmas (no religious overtones at all) which is fine, just know it's a lot of Christmas movie references and a lot of absolutely beautiful department store Christmas displays, as well as nostalgia. If that sounds good, you will love going on this tour!

If you have kids, or even if you don't, this place is a must visit if you love Christmas and Christmas movies. Being the largest indoor Christmas attraction in the US, there is something that will bring everyone back to their childhood Christmas memories as it relates to Christmas movies and games. The tour guides are all entertaining and informative, the short clips throughout are funny, and the attractions are like nothing I've ever seen. I particularly enjoyed all of the Christmas story memorabilia, as well as the Grinch and Elf, and I loved the game room which had all of the games I remember from being child. Absolute must visit!

This exceeded my expectations! I have seen advertisements for years but wasn't sure they would have enough stuff. From movie memorabilia to interactive activities to storefronts from NYC this was a great way to spend 2 hours. We had kids ranging from 7 to 12 with us and they loved it. We went in early November and it put me in the Christmas spirit. We bought tickets ahead of time and there are tour guides on the tour. Parking lot nearby but probably fills up when busy. It is in the downtown area so we walked to a nearby restaurant after. There is also an indoor putt putt place next door but we didn't have time for that. Planning another trip back next year!

It was a enlightened experience. Brought back a lot of childhood memories, had a great tour director.

Okay, let's just say that when my wife first said "let's go to Castle Noel" my response was "okay" but internally, I was saying to myself "what did you get yourself into? You should have said no!" A week after Christmas, here we are! Right off Medina square, the place doesn't look "much" outside but once we got in, Christmas hits you right in the face! The tour is 100% guided, imagine being in a museum and they walk you to each section with a narrative and back-story. They do a good job mixing up the guides, video vs guide narration and the different props and animation. We came with our 3 kids (6yr old, 8yr old and 11yr old). They said they enjoyed it, but I believe some of the material and references were beyond them. In our tour, there were 2 other kids that were younger than ours, it was easy to tell that it wasn't for them! The tour lasted about 1.5 hours for us, we didn't linger around, but we also didn't rush. I would allot at least 2 hours. Definitely not what I expected, very well-done and you can tell the people who put it on have a true passion for preserving the details and integrity of the material. This will be a yearly tradition for us, but we'll make sure to plan on visiting on another day than Sunday. Medina seems to have a lot to offer, or at least walk the square and check-out the stores around there.

This is an amazing place for Christmas lovers and movie buffs. My son (8) and myself went today and enjoyed every minute of it. The tour guide and owners are amazing. So many cool displays and interactive things, so fun!!

This place is a Christmas lovers dream!!! So many props from a lot of popular Christmas movies, and at the end you can meet Santa and actually go down the slide from A Christmas Story. Let me tell you, the ultimate big kid experience! I was in pure heaven! Didn't want to leave! If you're ever in the area, even if not...make a point to come just for this. So would not be disappointed!!

Could've definitely fit a stroller in here

The displays are beautiful and the information is amazing to learn about . But don't take your children here unless they're above the age of 5 . Got told my stroller wouldn't fit because "it would take up the room of two people" by the lady at the front (mind you a jogger stroller isn't a big one). I already have back problems and loved my back hurts this morning from having to carry around a toddler who had his accommodations in place . I considered going to the hospital when I woke up and couldn't move . This place markets as if they want children there but they don't care . They want money and money only. There was more than enough room for my stroller in the entire place . I'll be calling the ADA this morning as well as you claim my stroller takes up the room of two people I am very curious to what you would say to those in a wheelchair . Only care about money . Christmas spirit is killed by your staff. Please market for the older groups because your accommodations for children are a joke . Watched a lady struggle up a set of stairs who should've been offered an elevator but was told it wasn't working . Again wish this experience was better but i'm really glad we paid for group tickets for me to wake up this morning in physical pain due to this company's negligence.

What a great way to share your passion/hobby with the public. Beautiful prior Saks, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdales windows of the past. Don't forget to bring your cousin Eddy hat for a photo in front of the RV. You would certainly enjoy this venue year round.

It ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Sandusky! It's small but mighty with tons of intricately carved merry-go-round animals, some of which were crafted in the early 1900s. I learned quite a bit and the displays were so fun to look at. Your admission ticket includes 1 ride on the carousel which is in the center of the small museum (you can pay for additional rides). They made an announcement that they were starting it up so we took our spots - Nate got on a seahorse and I sat in a chariot. When I tell you that thing goes fast, I mean it. I think the operator said it gets up to 7 mph! I actually started to get a bit dizzy, but it was so fun and brought me so much joy. I couldn't stop smiling the entire time. They have an on site woodworker/carver which was so cool. The building that houses the museum is an old post office and it's definitely seen better days (it's 100+ years old), so I hope they can continue to house this museum there!

Housed in I think an old post office, cool building. Parking around back. Loads of carousel horses in the lobby and all around- and swans, and giraffes, and merhorses, and more. A carver was there on the Sunday we went, and was great with the kids. The big draw is the merry-go-round inside. You get passes for one ride with your ticket, and can get more for $1 each. Kid K went twice. It seems fast inside, but all the kids loved it. The organ was playing Halloween-appropriate songs at the end of September. Ever heard the Ghostbusters theme on a calliope? There's also the Cedar Point museum, with some of the collection that used to be in a building at the amusement park. Mostly souvenir items, but some bits from there and some photos. A little roller coaster simulator video game. Tiny gift shop. Great staff. Definitely would come back.

Came here for Mothers Day. Worth the visit to see the house and gardens…read more We were told when you come around Christmas there are not as many rooms open for the house tour. But on Mother's Day we got to see a lot of the rooms we never saw. And got to ask more questions and take our time a bit more. All around good experience. You want to see as many of the rooms as possible. Pro tip. If you are doing a house and garden tour leave the house thru the front door. This way you don't have to back track the gardens. Out the front door take a right to head along the back of the house and the gardens. Don't miss the greenhouse. The Japanese garden and the really all the gardens are beautiful. It's a nice walk. You can definitely get your steps in. It's a nice afternoon. We spent about 2.5 hours. Could have spent longer. But we were hungry. This was a good experience overall and fun afternoon.

Several years ago I found out that they have special tours at Christmas time where you can tour the house and each room has a different theme and you can also tour the grounds where they have Christmas light displays. I believe the tickets this past Christmas or $28 each which goes towards keeping up the estate and grounds. I feel like that's a fair price. There is so much to see in the estate and out on the grounds and I suggest coming here during the year as well for a regular tour. The Christmas decor is so beautiful each room in the estate is typically sponsored by a local business. It's so interesting to see some of the old furniture, dishes, light fixtures, truly whatever you can think of it's all so beautiful. They even have a greenhouse on the property where you can go to purchase plants, especially poinsettias for the Christmas season. They have a little concession stand where they sell things like hot chocolate, coffee, wine and beer, cookies, chili, soft pretzels, etc. Santa even stops by during certain hours where you can visit him. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to visit during the Christmas season and as a child I loved coming here during the year.
