Stopped by to check out the Comedy Jam on Sunday Nights at Coffee Phix in South Euclid from 7:30pm…read moreto 9:00pm. It was a nice friendly group of local performers doing a number of improv games and then a couple of longer form pieces. Coffee Phix is a relaxed space with a neighborhood feel. The performance takes place in the front of storefront. The performers are a bunch of people of various ages and levels of improv who really seem to be enjoying themselves. For those who know improv games, the night I was there they did Challenge, Change, Song and a couple of others. Some of the bits well quite funny, others were a little rough, but all of the performers brought quite a bit of energy and enthusiasm. They did offer to let me join if I wanted, so I will probably go back and give it a try. There were only a couple of people watching and this is an event that would be helped by having more people show up to either watch or participate. If you are a comedy or improv fan here is a chance to see local people who are practicing their craft.
