Fortunately I like hot dishes and think it was tasty, however if I'd known before I would suggest to add cheese to get a more balanced flavour. Great place to visit - the interior is not very cosy but alright - decent assortment of beers but the staff weren't very knowledgeable. The fries was normal but nothing special - to get a five they would need to add dip sauces to their menu, educate the staff about the beers and balance out the burgers a bit. It is actually an old very high-end pharmacy that has beautiful wood work and cabinetry. You will very much enjoy the ambiance, casual and well appointed. If you are looking for a local restaurant, away from the tourists, with great food this is it. There are about eight table seating twenty or so patrons. The menu is a four course fixed price menu with wine parings available. We had one person wait on us who was terrific, he explained the ingredients in every dish and brought us multiple additional courses. All of the dishes will really wonderful and beautifully plated. We didn't recognize many of the wines but each was a perfect match for the food. Don't be impatient this is a minimum two hour meal-we took almost three. But many of the locals were there before we arrived and still there when we left. Clearly this a gathering place for great food and friends!

It was quiet on Monday, 1945. Classic rock tunes playing, not too loud. You order up at the bar, and they bring you your food. What the heck is up with not having any mayo??? That in and of itself should constitute ONE STAR. But, the garlic aioli substitute was actually to die for, so I'll let it slide. The burgers are fairly 'well' cooked, but it was still pretty flavorful and moist. You do get your choice of patty size. I got a medium and actually felt it was on the small side, so keep that in mind. Comes with a side "salad" which is basically a few leaves, and the fries are pretty decent as well. The hot dipping sauce that comes with the Fireball burger packs a nice punch. Overall I thought the experience was good.

We decided to try something from home. Everything in Norway is expensive compared to the US so we expected that as well. The wait staff was great! They were entertaining and kind. It felt like they wanted to be there and it wasn't overly crowded and we didn't have a wait when we visited. They prided themselves on their free drink refills, a very non-European thing. My wife and daughter both got burgers and raved about them. They said they were better than any burger from a Friday's in the US. We wondered if it wasn't maybe better meat even. They seriously loved them. I had the chicken quesadilla and I can't say that I had the same experience. It was pretty tasteless, almost like boiled chicken put in a tortilla. But they cared and wanted to know why it wasn't good to help make it better. I'd absolutely recommend a stop in for locals and travelers!
