Euro '25 Burger Tour continues. Just arrived in Bergen via the rails from Oslo and in desperate need of sustenance. This was just the place, only steps away from my Airbnb. It was quiet on Monday, 1945. Classic rock tunes playing, not too loud. You order up at the bar, and they bring you your food. What the heck is up with not having any mayo??? That in and of itself should constitute ONE STAR. But, the garlic aioli substitute was actually to die for, so I'll let it slide. The burgers are fairly 'well' cooked, but it was still pretty flavorful and moist. You do get your choice of patty size. I got a medium and actually felt it was on the small side, so keep that in mind. Comes with a side "salad" which is basically a few leaves, and the fries are pretty decent as well. The hot dipping sauce that comes with the Fireball burger packs a nice punch. Overall I thought the experience was good. read more

After a long journey, we needed something familiar and comforting. This spot was the best of our search. As we walked up, it was dimly lit so we thought they were closed. A small Bar in the back with a cozy dining area. Also, have outside seating. We started with appetizers-Mozzarella sticks and Onion Rings. Nothing special and were ok-no marinara for the Mozz sticks?-looks like you have to ask for it and there would be a charge. Enjoyed the Hansa (local) IPA and Mango (seasonal) IPA. Mostly a Burger (with some other sandwich & Vegan Burger options) themed spot with names that are based on ingredients or Chef stories. The Cabo Burger was "Burger of the day" and was enjoyed. I ordered the Fyllaburger-how could I pass up Norway's most famous Hangover Burger? -especially since I had a Travel Hangover- got the BBQ sauce on the side. Pickled jalapeños and their Aioli made for a tasty Burger. All Burgers are made well-done-apparently a legal requirement. Food/Drinks are ordered at the Bar and food is brought out to your table. Service was friendly. We saw they had another location in Bergen and a couple more in the region. Burger comfort can be found and experienced here. read more

Really good burgers, the chicken heaven was quite tasty, good music. Not too loud to talk but not too quiet either. We walked in with no idea what to do, the bartender was very nice, got us English menus and explained how it works. Very good old fashioneds and free still water too. Everything comes with mango sauce which sounded odd to us but it was really good! read more

Came in to chill and listen to some rock music that leaned towards heavy metal. Some FF, Bush, and 90's-2000 rock. Quite refreshing change for these ears. Never tried the food, but there was a friendly gentleman bartender that served us right before closing. Full bar. Fun murals on the wall. read more

A small and cosy restaurant/bar with a small amount of tables. The place is most famous for it's burgers and they have plenty of choices. You order at the bar but they serve you at the table. You get enough to please you and the price isn't that bad! Well worth a visit! read more

This place was amazing. The staff were awesome. They speak English here, so tourists feel really welcome. Burger was incredible. I had the Dr. Feelgood with extra BBQ sauce. They let me try the sauce first to see if I'd like it. Great drinks menu. Plenty of burgers to choose from. Perfect music selection. It was awesome. Great vibe. The problem with the burger in general is its popularity. Due to its popularity, most restaurants feel a strong need to always offer some kind burger option. Some restaurants dare to call it famous, legendary, amazing, old, traditional or a combination of these descriptions. But what makes me sad is that most of the times, I'm really not impressed, let alone they live up to their description. The burger has gotten too many ugly cousins and bad taste-a-likes, at least here in Norway this is the case. So, with Inside being a burger restaurant, does it fall in that same burger rip-off category? No, I don't think so. Their burgers are certainly more than the average burger. I've been at Inside a few times and I was surprised to see such little amount of reviews on Yelp. Time to improve this, because Inside is really worth some good reviews. The restaurant is somewhat hidden and I actually had to use my GPS the first visit. To me, this is a good sign, because you can't run a restaurant with quality food at affordable price levels on a high street or boulevard location. This trend obviously continues inside since the decor is rather worn, one might even call it 'shabby'. Still, though, location and looks are less of a priority for me. It doesn't have to be pretty, as long as the atmosphere is good and at Inside, it is! The menu is a good variety of burgers and they seem to dare to move out of the burger-comfort zone a little bit by trying out interesting combinations. I'd be impressed if they did a kind of daily special where they experiment with new recipes, but unfortunately this isn't the case. Burger quality is at a good level though, so it definitely ticks the quality approval box. The three times I've been there, I seemed to have gotten more or less the same food so I'd call them consistent and this is one of the most important aspects of running a good restaurant. Another good point to me is their collection of beers. A good burger deserves a good beer and they know. Together with a choice of interesting sauces this is really completes my list of what I think is a brilliant burger place! read more

After visiting Inside many times, I must say I'm a fan. The easy going atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect place to go if you're looking for a "not too formal" restaurant, for a nice time with a great burger. The quality of the food seems to differ from time to time, but for the most part I've been satisfied. The restaurant usually has gluten-free buns for the burgers, just ask the staff. read more

Stopped here after a day of hiking our burgers were amazing. We ordered our food and drinks with the gentleman at the bar. He was very kind and helpful in answering our questions and navigating the menu. Our whole trip to Bergen we talked about stopping back. Never made it but would recommend it to anyone traveling to the the area. read more

Supposedly the best burgers in Norway or the town, not sure exactly what was said...maybe they are but I wish I could overnight some Iowa grass fed beef and cook a rare burger with sharp aged Wisconsin cheddar cheese melted it and greasy buttery buns around that true American bomb that will always be the best burger in the world! That said, the thin, dry, no option on how you want to have it cooked burger wasn't inedible. Their house mango sauce was good and their bread is nice, one side of the bun nicely toasted (maybe a bit much) and the other soft for a nice texture contrast but making it hard to hold...hint try toasted on the bottom. This burger place is known for its many choices of burgers. You can even have a "Hangover burger" or a Low Carb burger. The burgers are affordable and taste awesome. It's actually known for being the best burgers in town. If you are really hungry, you can try the burger challange. If you manage to eat a 1,3 kg burger within an hour, you get the meal for free. The atmosphere is characterized by rock theme, kind of like a smaller and more local version of Hard Rock. The staff are really friendly and accomondating, and we got our burgers within 20 minutes. I would strongly reccomand to visit Inside Rock cafe. read more
