Not just "hyped", dishoom deserves the recognition!…read more SERVICE Amazing service, easy to make reservations online, and easy to check in and get seated once your entire party has arrived. INSIDE Spacious, clean, and plenty of seating both upstairs and down. MENU For larger parties, they recommend their prefix menu which includes a various sampling of lots of delicious items. FOOD 10/10 I haven't eaten Indian food much, but was thoroughly impressed. From my mango lassi which was perfectly sweetened and tart to buttered buns, fried okra, black Dahl, garlic naan, and lamb skewers, everything was delicious. I esp loved the lamb skewers! We ordered a side of garlic naan with cheese which is basically a quesadilla and it was super cheesy and delicious as well. OVERALL Would def recommend Dishoom when visiting London. It'll definitely be a hit in your books!

The food was exceptional -- aroma, flavors, spice levels, portions; everything was perfect. While visiting London, a local friend invited me to Dishoom, knowing how much I love Indian cuisine. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5PM, and the place was already packed. They don't take reservations for dinner unless you're a large group, but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a fantastic bar where you can grab drinks while you wait for a table (they give you buzzers). I tried the Negroni and another tequila-based cocktail (sadly I can't remember the name), and both were phenomenal. Shared plates are definitely the way to go at Dishoom. We ordered the gunpowder potatoes (incredible), an appetizer with potatoes and pineapple (not my favorite; the pineapple threw me off), monkfish curry (amazing), and chicken curry. It was a lot of food for just two of us, but I couldn't stop eating. I seriously wanted to bottle up that sauce! The service was surprisingly impeccable, especially considering how busy they were. We ended up spending about £110 for an incredible dinner, and we nearly couldn't finish everything. Lastly, the ambiance! Inspired by Iranian cafes in India, the atmosphere at Dishoom is eclectic. I loved the dim lighting, unique decor, and the lively pace of the restaurant. Just go!

The guy taking the order told me that I give you 4 Naan and two special fries. I thought he wanted to give it for free as I had not asked for it, but still I told him that we had some snack earlier and I don't want that much extra food. When it came to paying for the food he took my credit card and blocked the card reader such that I could not see the price. Then he asked me to sign and that's when I realized he charged me for things that I did not order. I told him I don't want those items and he came with excuses that we can't change the order. I asked other people to talk to a manager and they told me he is the manager. After so much back and forth he refused to give me a refund for things that I did not order but offered me to replace those items for something else. Food quality was very bad, probably one of the worst Indian food I have eaten by far. My daughter couldn't eat more than couple of spoon of rice and we left most of the food and didn't eat the. We have been many Indian food in different countries and this is one really bad in terms of quality and taste. Strongly recommend to eat somewhere else and if you want to try that make sure to not fall for "I'll give you naan, and extra fries/chips, etc" and "Make sure to ask for the price before paying that amount.

Absolutely loved Tayyabs!…read more The one thing I knew I needed when visiting London was Indian food and I'm so happy I found this restaurant. Found this restaurant on Yelp after seeing such great reviews and I wasn't disappointed! At first, I was nervous my friend and I wouldn't get a table due to how busy the restaurant was but since we were only two people, we had no issue getting a table. Seating is tight! You are almost arm to arm with the individuals sitting around you which I actually found to be a great experience. My friend and I ended up striking conversation with the people next to us which led to a fun dining experience. Service was quick! We ordered food and it came out quickly and all waiters were super attentive. In terms of food, everything was absolutely delicious and portion sizes were huge! First we ordered the lamb chops and the samosas which were absolutely amazing. We then ordered the chicken and lamb dishes with the naan which completely filled us. I can't wait to come back and I will absolutely be dreaming about this restaurant until I come back!

Absolutely delicious. One of the best meals I've had on my trip. I ordered the tandoori chicken,…read moretandoori lamb chops, tikka masala, garlic naan and rice. The tandoori items come out sizzling on a hot plate marinated to perfection. They also bring you some complimentary pappadum and salad. There are three sauces on each table (yogurt, a sweet hot sauce, and a tamarind? Sauce. A pitcher of water is also there for your convenience which I love. All the items are very reasonably priced. On my way out I noticed some people bringing in beer so maybe BYOB? I would definitely come back here. Seems like it gets busy so plan accordingly.
