Something is distinctively wrong with the phone number/customer service. What exactly is the correct business number? I'm not interested in dealing with some strange phone answering service that won't even connect me to the facility.

It's centrally located and it has brought very important things and people to my life outside of learning to dance. Flamenco is deep beyond choreography...it's not clichè when you mention passion when describing it. It's posture alone will embolden you!! It's about feeling and attitude almost more than technique. Check it out!!! Is all I can say and see for yourself!! I almost forgot to mention their monthly shows!! A great night to share a unique experience of high caliber dancers and singers, guitarist..general artistry available right here, plus wine. Great date night too!

I've made so many friends through the "flamenco family" that Malita has built up here at Calo Gitano. She's also set up trips to Spain for her students to take flamenco lessons there for a couple of weeks from local teachers who she respects. I was fortunate to join the Call Gitano gang on of these trips where we spent a week in Cadiz and another week in Sevilla flamenco'ing every day! Malita and the Calo Gitano brand she and her equally great flamenca sister, Cara, has built up is the ONLY place in Atlanta you should be at for anything flamenco related, be it lessons or one of their amazing shows! Olé!

In Atlanta parking can prove to be difficult or very costly garages, but this location is in the Madison Yards complex and offers ample parking. There's a free parking garage directly across from the entry right next to the AMC. And if you'd like afterwards its not too far of a walk from the beltline and some brunch options. In regards to the space itself, it is very clean and offers lots of natural sunlight. The studio is spacious enough but can get pretty packed during their busy times. If you are new to Highland yoga they do have great newcomer specials to give it a try. This studio is also on Classpass which also seems to be a great value if you're interested in trying different classes and locations.

There is street parking, but if you're like me and you're bad at parallel parking I would get there early. I've enjoyed visiting this studio the past two times I went. I love doing yoga in a heated room versus just a regular room. However, I think the instructors here are hit or miss. The first time I went, the instructor paid zero attention to newcomers or the room as a whole. She spoke quickly and it was difficult to hear over the music. The second time was better, probably because it was a slower paced class. I think they called it "stretch and restore". They used essential oils and it was very calming and relaxing. Both of those times I went here via ClassPass (5 credits). I'm not sure I'd spend $108 a month here to practice, but I may try their one month unlimited for new students ($30) to see if I'd even go enough to make it worth it.

Sky Barre was on my bucket list forever and it was worth the wait! A private party costs $245,…read moreminimum of 7 to book. Drop-ins cost $35 per person for 50 minutes so arrive early. Park free in the small lot or the Publix parking deck across the street. Our instructor CoCo patiently waited for my crew, but the clock was running because of other bookings. The environment is cool and clean with cubbies for personal items/shoes. You enter the mat barefoot or in socks. The website mentions 30-minute-high intensity low impact cardio classes, indoor water rowers, aerial sling yoga to release tension etc. We had a P-Valley themed party, so I knew it was going down! We each picked a Sky Barre nickname and CoCo broke down the routine into steps. I haven't worked out in awhile and I have zero upper body strength, so I was nervous but willing to try. I couldn't do some of the moves but CoCo made modifications. It's not easy. Initially, it felt like the aerial silks were burning into my feet, butt and side. But it's more discomfort than pain and she said you get used to it. An hour wasn't enough time to learn the routine. But you are your own audience so it's more about feeling confident, getting out of your head and having fun! We had a glow party under blacklights, so highlighter colors really pop! The lights were dimmed, the track was played, and we killed our routine. Not! We did it 2x and I still forgot half the moves! The best part is how sexy you feel if you let yourself go. But when I played the video later it was more like the rhythmless nation! At the end we cheered each other on as we freestyle danced in a circle. Water was provided and we said our goodbyes. Sky Barre core + cardio = full body workout. I was sore for few days but it was worth it! Memberships start at $150 (1 hr a week, 12 drop-ins per month). There's a $99 3-week unlimited beginner class promo for newbies. If you can afford it and you're brave enough to try, drop in for a fun, creative workout. I recommend!
