Unnecessarily uncomfortable situation. I showed up to get a plug done on my wife's car. She had a screw in her tire. Pretty simple fix. I blame myself for not asking for the price in advance. When the tire was done he said $25. I was kind of floored by that but what could I do at this point the work was done. I only had $20 in cash so I told him I had to walk across the street to go to the ATM for more money. He took the tire and put it inside the garage out of site. I came back from getting money and another vehicle was pulled up behind mine. I need to point out that I brought the tire with me in my car. They didn't have to remove the tire from the car or put it back on. There were 3 women and a child standing at the entrance to the garage door where my tire was inside somewhere. I stood at my car drinking the iced tea I got from 7-11 when I went to get money. Then one of the women yelled to me asking me if I was paying for my tire. I was surprised by this for 2 reasons one being the guy I was working with was nowhere to be found and I assumed the people there were customers he was dealing with. I walked over and said I was waiting because I thought you were ahead of me. She responded, "What"? "Because I'm a woman I need help"? "I can't work here"? I responded, "You know thats not what I meant." I paid the money and walked away. It is difficult to portray the way the conversation went in real time and the tones involved but know that this person was seriously offended that I assumed they were there for a tire getting fixed. Because every tire repair shop has 3 women and a child standing outside of it as employees. This encounter aggravated me. There was no need for things to go the way they did. Even though I know I was being overcharged I didn't make a big deal because I should have asked. Once the work is done they can charge whatever they want. I normally go to Trinidad tires whether in Philly or up in Lower Bucks but this place was closer to home so I gave it a shot. Never again! I don't care if I have to push my car several miles to the next tire place. I would never use this place again. By the way I wish I would have read the other reviews before going. read more

Guy sold me a bald used tire then when I called him out on it he swapped the tire out ..... gave it a horrible balance then cross threaded my lug so when it was taken off it snapped! Absolute clown! Don't waste your time! read more

I have a Fiat 500. Can't get new tires around here for it. I order them online, and R Tires R-4 U mounts them for me. Don't listen to the old reviews. I believe the owner is relatively new, and I'm pretty sure that's who mounted my tires. Good guy. Hard-working and helpful. read more

This place is a rip off don't go !! Repeat don't go !! Went to this place got a "new" tire when I actually looked at the tire it was actually used . On top of that the tire wouldn't hold air after the first day ! I poured water all over the tire even went to a whole different place for them to actually check it before I brought it back to the place . So I took it back the guy who works in the shop took it back filled the tire with air brought back over to me with a yellow circle with a punctured hole in the side wall........ it wasn't their prior him taking it back into the shop.. just leave it here don't go. They put my rear brakes on and told me to come back later to get them fixed. My brakes broke later and I got a real mechanic to tow and fix it. They refused a refund, were rude the entire time. dont trust these people they will rip you off. read more

Worst worst worst experience ever. Sloppy unorganized workers. I caught a flat and needed help, they treated me like i was not important enough. The son introduced my father and i to his mother (owner) because my father recollected that he had a deal with the tire shop 3 months ago. The woman had an argumentative tone in her voice and stated " my price are my prices." Very big woman with glasses, if you ever see her, walk away, she is very rude. After having a blowout the other day, I found R Tires and they completely came to my rescue. They didn't only have old tires, they had new tires as well in the exact size I needed with no problem. Went to these guys about a year back. Got 2 used tires for less than 70 bucks, that included installation, and was very satisfied. Come in today to get 1 used tire, and the guy told me 60+ dollars. For ONE used tire? That makes NO sense. I explained to him I came in before and got 2 tires for less than 70 bucks and he told me "Never happened." Um, yeah it did, A-hole, YOU were the one who helped me the last time I was here. So they basically called me a liar and tried to charge me more than 60 bucks for a used-ass tire. If I wanted to pay that much, I'd buy a brand new tire. The guy was a total asshole and completely full of crap. I've been hearing about their money-scams for a while on their recent reviews. but was sure it was a mistake as I had dealt with them before and had a good experience. NOPE. Never send a Woman there as per other pages. I called this morning for a specific set of tires. Was told they had them and that it would be $85 per tire and if I wanted 4 of them the total would be $340. Needless to say my wife goes there, tells her that I'm a liar and told them I asked for a different size. After that told them it was a different price than what was told to me over the phone. Finally to end it off of her being told to wait, the only thing they can do was get new ones from another place which would of costed a lot more. I am very happy to say about the experience I had when I went to R Tires to have a flat fixed during my visit to PA from Staten Island!!! They are a very nice family oriented business, they make you feel at home. This is as long as you don't go there trying to be the one in charge, I witnessed that while I was there, A customer came in and was very rude and demanding and that put the owner who is a female in an uncomfortable state, but she didn't let that stop her from treating me with the utmost respect. Poor thing is trying to build up her business due to the fact that the man she had running the place a couple of years ago, destroyed things! She was very helpful and got me service right away! Its a family business that has excellent service. I literally met them and they were willing to talk and work with me when I had an issue with my tire. At first i was quick to assume and judge but in reality my wheel was the issue not their tires. They are regular everyday hard working people trying to make a living not some corporate company that doesn't care. They sell reliable tires that are throughly inspected. HORRIBLE management and HORRIBLE customer service. Make sure to stop in if you'd love to get a slashed tire, and a whole lot of attitude from the staff! Manager literally yelled at me in front of other customers, and then made me pay full price again for a tire 3 days after I got a deflating one from them.. Oh and opened 3 hours late, and made me wait 2 hours on top of that while they helped everyone else pulling up before me. About as ghetto as their name sounds.
