FARRAH is BEST COLORIST that I have EVER HAD!! Seriously. I made my first appointment with her because I asked someone (with truly gorgeous color) where she got her hair done. I have been to very expensive top end colorists and never had someone who was truly able to make my hair color dreams come true. She is careful not to over stress my hair and trouble shooting my hair issues (wonky graying patterns, coarse, thinning hair). I have been coming to R Salon for at least 2 years now and have never left disappointed! My brother in-law started coming to see Tommy, and then brought my sister to see him. I live in Virginia and loved her haircut and color that I made the 4 hour drive up to see Tommy for my hair. He did such an amazing job that every few weeks I drive back from Virginia to get my hair done with him. I'm constantly getting compliments on my cut and color! He now also has my mother coming to get her hair done by him! Tommy really takes the time to listen to what you want and makes sure you're happy with your color and cut. I've never felt rushed by him and feel like he truly takes the time to make my hair perfect. The team at R salon are so nice and welcoming! I found my salon. :) I called here yesterday leaving work and they graciously accommodated me for an appointment. The receptionist was genuinely friendly and didn't sneer at my hospital scrubs and ponytail (the salon is very tastefully decorated so with my work clothes on I cringed in anticipation of a sneer that I'd once received from a salon closer to home when I went in for a cut). Big points for courtesy there! Nilda, my stylist, was also courteous and knew what I needed after a quick look at my hair and the inspiration pic I brought in. She took her time with the cut and didn't rush, especially with it being a Friday late afternoon. The cut looks amazing and was the "pick-me-up" I needed. Finally after getting a horrible haircut I decided to bite the bullet and go to R Salon. Christine did a FABULOUS job with my hair even though it's super challenging given I'm round faced , have thin hair , slow growth and a calique. I came in for a haircut about a month ago. I am new to the area and picked this salon because Of the reviews. I am SO disappointed with the haircut here. I waited a month to write a review because I wanted to see if I could grow into the haircut or learn to like it. After a month, I hate it more than ever I wanted to share my experience with this salon. I asked for a trim and shape- the hair dresser cut off WAY more than I asked and didn't take into consideration my curls or thickness of my hair. My hair cut was bulky and unflattering and I haven't been able to wear my hair down for a month. To pay $70 for a haircut that is completely unsuitable and the hairdresser didn't take into consideration the needs, texture and thickness of a clients hair. I will never go back. read more

Staff is extremely friendly. Tommy is a very talented stylist. When I was there I saw a total bridezilla acting ridiculous. The guy doing her make up remained so calm, I was amazed. This woman needed to be locked up and I would have proably told her to leave. As a recording artist and TV personality, I trust them to make me look good when I am on camera. I've been going to R Salon for at least 3 years and it has been a great experience every time. I've moved away from Edgewater now and I still go back because I haven't found another salon that I like as much as this one. They always have availability when I need it (I like to go on Saturday, a busy day), the prices are really reasonable, the salon is clean and professional, and the haircut I get is always great and lasts a long time. Tommy has been cutting my hair the whole time, he gives a great cut. He listens to what I want, but he makes suggestions about what he thinks looks good too. I go to Farrah for cuts and color work and she has worked wonders from natural blonde highlights over the summer, and returning me to my natural dark brunette for the winter. Visited R Saloon for the first time after my previous colorist retired and moved out of the country. After researching salons in the area and reading multiple positive reviews I booked an appintment with Christine. First it's convenient with parking at the front door. I soon as I walked in I was greeted and immediately seated in Christine chair. I apreciated the low key atmosphere with no attitude whatever (like a lot of other saloons) I have had my hair colored for many years and know a talented and knowledgeable colorist. Christine was that and so much more. After a hair consultation Christine knew exactly what I was looking for. After processing and a blowout (base and highlights) my hair not only looked great but felt healthy. I am new to the area and was very hesitant about letting someone new cut my hair. I picked this salon and Christina mostly from the positive reviews. I was not disappointed in fact, I am so happy with my cut - she may be even better than my regular hair stylist in Delray Beach at Aveda!!! honestly, before I wrote this review I waited till I washed and blow dried my own hair - that is the real test. I couldn't get it as perfect ( I really did not expect that) as Christina, but it looks darn good. She listened carefully to me and checked in with me as she was cutting it. I thought the salon was nice overall - comfortable and attractive with friendly staff - I personally wouldn't consider it seriously upscale but that may be good for some and not for others. Christine gave me the best haircut I've ever had in my life. I cut off about 10 inches from my waist length hair and she gave me a trendy but practical cut. I was super nervous to chop all my hair off but She gave me the confidence to really go for it and I'm glad I did! When i Got to the Salon it seemed that her previous client was running a little overtime, but she gave me a free conditioning treatment while i Waited.
