I called Jackie to try to get somewhat of a refund because I had to redo the whole dying process, but they said they would only give me $60... Pretty upset with my whole experience here, wouldn't recommend Edit: 9/13/2020 - I went back to get my refund... for half of the price I paid which comes out to 125... he said he would 80 and proceeded to tell me that no one looks at the inside of my hair so why does it matter that it looks like that... I am furious... I turned into a Karen for a good minute.... so mad... do not see Timmy...he gave me an attitude and said I was unbelievable for asking for a refund for half the cost I paid for when I had to go to another salon and pay 280 to get my hair redone correctly..... so mad....DO NOT COME HERE I REPEAT

The salon is tucked inside a small mall, and you have to go up the stairs to find it, but once you do, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The space is huge, clean, and filled with natural sunlight, offering a great view. My visit started with a relaxing shampoo and a little massage. Then, Andy worked his magic on my hair. He did an excellent job bringing my lifeless locks back to life, finishing with some beautiful styling at the ends. Overall, it was an above-average experience, and I'll definitely be back.

The place is clean and wasn't too busy when I went in on a Saturday afternoon, I only had to wait a couple minutes after my booked appointment to get taken care of. TL;DR: Lowlights rock…read more I had been to Jackie's years ago when I used to travel more frequently to the northeast. This time I had some downtime and swung by for a trim. She asked whether I want to try something different and suggested lowlights - I had never heard of the term but figured they're like highlights, just less obvious. The first and last time I had had toned down my hair (highlights, actually) was 22 years ago, but the AI photo apps had all suggested recently that I go blonde, so I thought this may be a first step in that direction. She said how long it takes depends on the individual's hair but should take no more than an hour, and I was intrigued. I can do an hour. I told her I really don't want that overbleached, orangish yellow color, and she was on the same page. We were going to aim for a light brown, but that could mean any number of things, right? It came out a copper-bronze that adds just a touch of light around my face. The color looks more obvious in certain angles depending on how my hair is tousled or parted, and I love how it shows up more prominently in the under-layers of my hair and when I put it up in a bun! This is a result of her gathering my hair, then taking some away in a zigzag before bleaching what remained in hand. I really like that she made the bleached hair blend with my natural hair. Btw, she's pretty opinionated and has a lot of comments, but knows her stuff. If you've ever been scared about toning down your hair color, give lowlights a try! It's very affordable here even with the wash and cut afterward. I was here a total of 1:30 including my wash and cut, during which three people walked in. She had to turn them away since she was doing my hair; one person came back at a time she had told him. Glad to see that it's a happening place but that she takes walk-ins like I did :D

Julie has been cutting my whole family's hair for at least 10 years now. We had to follow her from her old location, Magic hair, even if it meant driving an extra 2 hours out of our way. No one else can cut our hair as great as she does! We've tried every hair cutting place nearby, even one in Korea. We also have very thick hair and we come in with a certain image reference, so we are always amazed when Julie does it all. Sometimes, we get tired of the same haircut and Julie works with you by incorporating new in-trend styles, so our haircuts are always chic and refreshingly new. Whenever we go for an appointment, there are always other customers there. We don't mind because the wait is very comfortable. Since we also get coloring and perms from her, it's a lot of waiting for the dye or perm to set so being very comfortable is so important. Sometimes we ask her to dye our eyebrows or give our bangs a cut, and she does that too! I don't think I've seen a hair salon give better service than hers does. read more

I've been getting my hair cut and dye from Julie (the owner) at Coco Hair Salon and I've always been satisfied with the outcome. Even with the hair dye she does a great job and the product they use is a great quality because it doesn't sting my scalp. Also, the worker who gives you a hair wash does a great job because my towels and pillow sheets don't turn grey afterwards. She prepared my hair for my engagement photo shoot and I loved how it came out! Julie is such a wonderful person. She is very kind and polite. Recently got my hair done here, Julie is amazing she is so nice! And Amanda is so helpful and nice too. I did a new perm called Lovely Magic and I'm very ecstatic about the result! My hair is so glossy and silky, no damage to my hair and even though it's a straightening perm my hair still has volume! The price was reasonable as always. My first visit at Coco, I was pleasantly surprised, Julie did a great job! I asked for a bob cut; my hair usually is very straight without much volume, but the way Julie cuts my hair gave it fullness and volume, and easy to style without much effort in blow drying for a busy mom! My overall experience at Fox Hair was probably a 7/10. If you're Korean, the hair stylist will most definitely be a lot friendlier to you, simply due to the language barrier. To be honest, I'm not sure who did my hair -- when I booked the appointment, I requested for Joy, but when I got to the salon, the hair stylist saw me and asked me if I was Jackie, and got down to doing my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she immediately understood. The entire process took around 3 hours. When I first arrived, I was her first client. She does most of the styling while her assistant does the hair washing, etc. However, as the day went on, she got more and more clients; and her assistant was running around taking care of all these clients in addition to the other stylist's clients. I ended up feeling a bit neglected. Despite knowing that it was my first time getting a perm, she didn't really give me much aftercare instructions. Luckily the internet is a great resource! I'll admit that my results coming out the salon weren't that impressive. My hair looked like I hadn't gotten a perm and I was pretty upset. I wanted curls throughout my hair, but it looked like only the ends were mildly curled. However, after washing my hair 2 days later and styling it with some mousse and scrunching my hair as it dried, I saw the results I wanted! As for the price, my friends said what I paid is a pretty good price for my long hair.
