Craftsman who cares!…read more We were fortunate to meet Marc through dear friends in 2012. Our Tudor revival home is great but over 80 years old. Marc has taken on every situation we encountered and given us insight and advice. We not only trust Marc and his crew, we rely on them. Marc is truly a craftsman in staying true to the original construction of the home. What's different about Marc is his approach. He investigates the issue, postulates some options to discuss with the homeowner and then a decision is reached. Marc doesn't have his way of doing things and sees that as the only option. We have encountered many contractors with this type of attitude, it seemed to be the norm until we met Marc. We have experienced many unusual situations in our home. Once upon returning from a weekend away, there was water coming into our home from three different areas. Marc and his crew showed up early the next morning, assessed the situation and after discussing their direction with us, had the problem handled and solved in a matter of days. Marc has been reliable, trustworthy and clean in every single project he has completed for us. He is the only contractor we allow into our home and he can fix anything, or finds someone who can. His crew is talented, polite, kind and quiet. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I have referred Marc to anyone we know in need of home repair or renovation. We are sad to be leaving the St Louis area for many reasons. One of them will be to lose the expertise and kindness of 5 Stone Construction. They could and did handle any and every situation in our home, lovingly and well.

Excellent Job Remodeling Our Kitchen!!…read more After receiving several recommendations, we hired JM Kitchen & Bath to completely remodel our kitchen and they did a wonderful job. We had a basic idea of what we wanted when we originally met with owner Jim Merkel and he gave us excellent design suggestions as well. Within a couple of days, Jim provided us with a detailed, itemized contract which was at a better price than a competitor we talked to. Our project leader was Aaron and he and Christopher were here on time every day. They and their team were all extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous and constantly strived to ensure we were happy with the results. Jim and Aaron made several important recommendations along the way, which helped to ensure an outstanding result. All communication with Jim and his team was exceptional throughout the process. Our new kitchen turned out better than we expected and everyone that has seen it has loved how it looks. Our huge thanks to Jim, Aaron, Christopher and everyone involved in the project. We will definitely be calling JM Kitchen and Bath for future projects because we were thrilled with their professionalism, courtesy, experience, knowledge, attention to detail, speed of completion and the amazing final result. They deserve our highest recommendation! Rob & Mary R.
