They gut renovated both of our bathrooms, which was no easy task considering the overall age of our house, size of our bathroom, and required customization. They are incredibly hard working and always checked with us about our needs during the construction period. We feel very fortunate that we hired them. The quality of work in our bathrooms is top notch. Their ability to proceed with care, efficiency, problem-solve, communicate, and their attention to detail is outstanding. From Chris's first site-visit that included clipboard notations and photos I was impressed. The entire process was so well managed with timely notification of the project start, the multiple subcontractor visits, and handling of permitting and city inspections. What a pleasure to deal with a contactor who is inherently honest with great communication skills! The quality of the work was first rate, and any difficulties in the project were pointed out in advance to allow for the proper solution, and without additional cost. Chris used multiple subcontractors for all specialty work that included electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, plastering, and floor/wall tile. Ergo, the finished product was pure quality. The work space was cleaned daily and all workers were very respectful and polite. Assuredly I would use Chris for any and all future projects.

After a Servpro demolition team throughout all the damaged furniture, carpets, wall boards and wall insulation and treated for mold, I started looking to hire a construction company to rebuild: insulation, wall boards, damaged sub flooring, plastering, painting, flooring, and the damaged baseboard heating. Using Yelp and Angie I requested a work proposal and cost estimate from 6 contractors, half of which never got back to me. LB Special Projects owner took time with me to explain the work to be done and answer all my questions. It was clear that he knew his business down to as much details as I wanted to know. His company went beyond the work I requested because they have a high standard of quality. They know you'll be living with the work they do. It's apparent from other reviews that this is a 5 star company. I would add that everyone that worked on restoring my house: carpenters, plumbers, electricians did their work to the same high standard, and were open and helpful to answering my questions I will continue to recommend this company and call upon them for any projects I want done in the future

I screened over ten contractors before hiring. He provided me one of the best estimates even though it was over my budget. I actually knew of John's company from my time living in Woburn as his house was not too far from my old house. I can't say enough good things about John. He has been in the construction industry for over 50 years and his attention to detail is evident when speaking with him. Most general contractors/builders try to rush to get the job done so they can move on to their next project. Not John. He and I were in constant communication and he made sure I was happy and informed on progress. He has a few guys Rocco and Gary who are very nice, hardworking, and amazing craftsman. John's subcontractors for framing, roofing, siding, insulation, plaster, concrete, flooring, all did a great job too. The work was professional and clean. As the owner, even John got his hands dirty in building my deck and used his tractor to excavate the deck footings. I highly recommend John's company for any construction and renovation work on residential and commercial properties. I already have him on call to do other work on my house and will recommend him to family and friends. Thanks John.

From the very first consultation, she took the time to understand my style, needs, and how I use my kitchen on a daily basis. I'm not terribly creative, so Katie really helped me fill some of the gaps for decor. Communication throughout the entire process was clear, professional, and timely. Every detail--from cabinetry and lighting to layout and materials--was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. The contractor team of Dave and Buzzy were also amazing, with constant communication and attention to detail, even while we were away for the better part of the remodel. They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.
