We recently had our deck completely rebuilt by Boston Framers and we couldn't be happier with how…read moreit came out. We actually got their name directly from the deck manufacturer, who told us Boston Framers was excellent and highly recommended them. After working with them, I can see why. They started exactly when they said they would and showed up every day to keep the job moving. They even worked some weekends to get everything completed, which we really appreciated. Their carpenters were excellent. The workmanship was meticulous, the materials were all top quality, and you could tell they really cared about doing the job right. The price was very competitive, especially for the quality of work we received. I also made a few minor changes along the way, and they were very easy to work with and accommodated the changes without adding extra charges. It's not easy to find a contractor that is reliable, fairly priced, uses quality materials, and takes this much pride in their work. Boston Framers checked all those boxes for us. We're extremely happy with our new deck and would absolutely recommend Boston Framers to anyone considering a deck or other construction project. Five stars without hesitation.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

The on-site manager, Jonathan, was great, and they gracefully and quickly responded to additional requests and changes of plans we requested, including entirely changing one of the windows. Even our neighbor reached out to tell us how nice and respectful they were and asked us how we found them. The answer is that I just saw that they were well-reviewed on Yelp, so I'm adding my review here too. Their pricing was very reasonable, and their work was exceptional. They replaced a shower system, which involved breaking existing tile and seamlessly re-tiling the affected section after the new shower was installed. During the process, they covered the opening with plastic so we could continue using the shower (even though it only took a couple of days). The re-tiled area blends perfectly with the rest of the shower (see attached pic). You'd never know it was repaired. They also repaired significant water damage from burst pipes, replacing and adding insulation and drywall, installed recessed lighting with dimmers, replaced a window and glass shower doors, swapped out an awkward set of swinging bathroom doors for a proper door, and took care of several long-overdue household repairs. Everything was completed quickly, quietly, and efficiently. If we ever need renovations in the future, we'll definitely be using them again.

He was also punctual (yes, a contractor who is actually punctual), which we truly appreciated. N7 was one of the options Yelp recommended companies that responded when I submitted a project through their "Projects" section. This meant that going with the company even had a guarantee backed satisfaction. To further ease concerns about making the right choice, when speaking with Fernando who owns N7, he was very helpful to provide references to reach out to, examples of past projects, and links to his website and work. He was able to come out rather quickly to survey the land and get a better understanding of the project. Communication was strong not only throughout the initial phase of being provided a quote and deciding to move forward with N7, but also throughout the project itself. Fernando was great at reviewing all questions related to the contract and is willing to be flexible per individual household needs on timing and even payments. We were adding a second floor deck with roof off of a room converting a window to a door and also some stone landscaping work for a patio underneath the deck. Upon agreeing to move forward with N7, we entered a phase of waiting for appropriate permits. During this time, Fernando was great at ensuring he is gathering the right materials for the project to kick off construction as soon as the permits are approved. And that is exactly what happened. Fernando and his team showed up early and worked efficiently throughout the length of the project. They even took shifts for lunch so someone was working at all times. The team also worked on Saturday's to ensure the project remained on schedule. Everyone was so friendly and my dog loved them all too. Fernando will work with you throughout the project should something need to be changed or is not to your liking. When we didn't like the door selected for our project, he was flexible to help us select and obtain the desired door. The only small issue we had was from some of the outsourced parts of the project. The individual chosen for inside work of wall repair and painting from the window to door conversion did have personal issues arise causing him to miss days he was supposed to arrive. We obviously understand things come up, but he didn't effectively communicate that to us or Fernando. That is out of Fernando's control though. And when the original team set to do the patio stone work backed out, Fernando quickly found an alternative group who was also friendly, efficient, and did beautiful work. Overall, I am very impressed with Fernando and N7 Construction. We will definitely be using them for future projects and recommend the company for your needs as well.
