We had our driveway done during December of 2021. Due to the supply chain issues, pavetech used a new supplier of asphalt and in the end it was not the correct type of asphalt / looked good but not great. The owner Eddie acknowledged the mistake. Came out the next day to see the driveway. Agreed it wasn't correct and completely redid the driveway. No fuss. No fighting. Completely professional. Mistakes happen but business owners who take ownership of these issues are the types of businesses I want to work with again. Highly recommend this company. Additionally they did the stone work on the side. We are very happy customers. read more

Pave Tech - New driveway at my home. Beautiful. - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

After waiting nine months from contracting they set a date to do our driveway; twice. Both times they did not show up. Both times they did not contact us to tell us they were not coming. Both times I had to contact them; and when I did they told me they were on another job. Then asked for more time. I should have realized when it took them 3 months to get a town permit; after I stepped in, that this was not the company to work with. read more

Would not recommend this company to anyone. We needed a company to do a patch on our driveway. A guy came and didn't have the right equipment, and tried to say that everything looked great. I had to call the owner who was not helpful and admitted that the patch was not done right. He used a contractor who came again and still did nothing to properly fix the patch. Also, he stained my foundation on our house. Completely wasted my money and time with this company. read more

Yesterday, PAVE TECH arrived...on time and seal coated our driveway for the first time. We are so so happy. It looks like a brand new drive. I am so pleased with Eddie and his crew. He is on the ball. keeps in contact with you and shows up when he said he would. Don't need to get 5 + estimates. He is the best price and best and professional job. read more

I couldn't be happier with Pave Tech's work on my large parking lot. To begin with, Eddie was highly professional in my several interactions with him--responsive, clear in his communications, and very pleasant. Technically, he brought years of experience to the project which clearly translated to a superb result. The actual work he and his team performed was on the large lot behind our condo complex that accommodated 20 cars. It hadn't been paved in more than 35 years and was pocked with potholes and uneven surfaces and had a drop-off at the end of the area to be paved. In short, it was a challenge. His team worked smoothly and efficiently, and overcame all the obstacles flawlessly. We are all amazed by, and grateful for, the skill that he brought to this project. And the price he charged was more than competitive. I can't recommend Pave Tech more highly. read more

Pave Tech did an amazing job for our condo association in Boston. We needed a big tree and stump removed, new pavers, relaying of old pavers and paving the parking area. Eddie and his crew were easy to work with at all times, professional and did great work. From the clear estimate to the last step, Pave Tech was a pleasure to work with. Would absolutely recommend. read more

After two nightmare contractor issues related to some foundation work, it left the driveway/parking lot and property of our condo building in disrepair. Eddie and his team did an amazing job correcting the issues and made our driveway look pristine. The property is located in a busy Boston neighborhood with difficult access. They were able to complete the work in the quoted timeline and we couldn't be more happy. Eddie was also very easy to communicate with and kept me in the loop throughout the process. Highly recommend Eddie and PaveTech! read more

Pave Tech: I wish we had hired them the first time we repaved our driveway! We had previously widened our driveway, and the masonry company that repaved it, we soon realized, were not what you would call paving professionals. Not only did it look really rough after less than three years, the masons hadn't considered that the increased surface area meant we would need increased drainage, and our garage flooded every time it rained heavily. Enter Pave Tech. Eddie came out for an estimate and was extremely diplomatic about the existing driveway. He gave us a reasonable quote and didn't try to upsell us on anything, even when we asked about adding a French drain. "You don't need it," he said, and he was absolutely right. What we needed was more drainage capacity (i.e., a honkin' big dry well), and the right grading to direct water away from the garage. The project ended up taking place a few weeks later than we had originally expected, but that didn't bother me. Like a lawyer, being busy tells me they do good work! It was fun to watch the old driveway demolition, which only took about half an hour. Neighborhood kids were definitely enjoying watching the heavy equipment the crew used to excavate a huge hole for the dry well and prepare the driveway surface for paving. I was impressed by how neatly they maneuvered the equipment in a pretty modest space. The paving itself was very satisfying to watch. The crew was efficient, organized, and did a great job on a really hot day. My next-door neighbor was so impressed that he stopped by to ask Eddie for a quote. The difference between our old driveway and the new one is night and day. Best of all, when it started raining yesterday, I stepped outside and saw that the dry well was working exactly as planned, and there was not a drop of water within 18 inches of our garage door. I highly recommend Pave Tech! read more

I echo some comments of the lower starred reviews. Pavetech was hired by our GC to repave our driveway and install a drywell back in 2020. TL;DR they told us and our GC to f'off when we tried to have them stand by their (faulty) work. After they finished the job, they told us the driveway would be soft, especially given the extremely hot weather, and told us to keep off until it could cure. Fast forward to summer of 2022 -- our driveway is still soft during the summer months. If you turn too quickly on it, it will scuff. Examining it after this winter in 2023, I can already identify cracking places, in addition to those areas that got previously damaged by the driveway never curing. We contacted them after 1 year to get the driveway sealcoated (per their original recommendation). They didn't respond to my email or phone calls, and only our GC could get through. They said it's not ready yet, try again next year. With our GC, we contacted them again a year later (2022, and after much arm twisting by our GC to get in touch) and also flagged the fact that the driveway is still soft and easily damaged. We got them on the phone and they (Eddie) told us to f'off and never contact them again. They want to use the excuse that our driveway is very sunny and used for parking, and so gets a lot more stress than others. This seems hard to believe. There are plenty of parking lots all over the place that are not nearly as brittle as ours and do just fine in the heat. What good is a driveway if it's too delicate to use? I'm sorry, but this is not a business that stands by its work. read more

Eddie is a great and honest local businessman. He's a wonderful communicator and his rates are a great value. I'd hire he and his team again in a heartbeat. read more

About two years ago Pave Tech did our initial driveway and just recently we asked them to come back to give it a seal coat. After surviving two winters the driveway was in fine shape with just some very minor cracks in a few locations. The seal coat addressed that and looks great. They do great work at a fair price. read more

Eddie and his Pave Tech crew did a beautiful job on our driveway, sidewalk, and filling in some potholes. Their lines are neat and I thought they did a really good job of integrating the new asphalt at connection points with old asphalt. Grading was also well done to make sure there wasn't any pooling. Highly recommend! read more

I chose Pave Tech after reading the many positive reviews that are posted online. Eddie and his crew did not disappoint! After my initial inquiry, Eddie stopped by, answered all of my questions, gave a fair price and provided an estimate of when he would be able to pave the driveway. On the day of the paving, the whole crew rolled in before 8:00 with all of the equipment. They quickly got to work excavating and then paving the driveway. Four hours later, they were done and on their way. The finished product looks great and I have no doubt is built to last. It was a pleasure working with Eddie, and I would certainly call on him again for future projects. I highly Recommend Pave Tech! read more

We needed our driveway sealed and contacted Pave Tech on Friday. Eddie was amazing to worked with. We got a reasonable quote on Saturday and his crew started working on Monday. Today Tuesday the job is done and my driveway looks amazing. Pave Tech went the extra mile, they repair the cracks and even repaired my crack asphalt in the beginning of the driveway. We totally recommend Eddie's professionally. Everything was done in a timely manner and excellently! read more

Not worth even a single star (just selected in order to post my review) Surprised to see that all other reviews are great, so I must be the unlucky one. Very briefly: Quality of work was terrible. After sales service/repairs despite multiple promises was horrible. My driveway looks like the scarred surface of the moon with the added bonus of a sinkhole. I wish I never hired them. As a new homeowner I have become actively involved in seeking out various contractors to tackle a list of home projects. I have to say that working with Pave Tech was a complete and utter joy. Efficient. Caring. Attentive. A wealth of expertise... All of this combined restored my faith the fact that there are descent hardworking businesses that take pride in their work. From Eddie, the owner, to all of his employees, each aspect of this project was carried out with the utmost care. I have an amazing, newly paved driveway that has added a great deal of curb appeal to my property. I couldn't speak more highly or Pave Tech and their kindness and professionalism. read more

Pave Tech did our driveway in the fall of 2019, and it improved our "curb appeal" 100%! Our neighbor used him first, and my husband and I saw how great it looked, and how much the driveway beautified their overall home appearance. We grabbed owner, Eddie Hernandez, on the spot. His price was fair and reasonable, and he explained what the job would entail to get the best results. He made a couple of suggestions about how he would do the job to make it even more attractive and to make the most out of the driveway space, maximizing the width but also adding grace to the shape. His crew was excellent, and Eddie was there to supervise over the 2 days it took to get it done. These guys knew what they were doing! I've seen lots of driveways with signs from other businesses, but Pave Tech is clearly stellar. Mine looked so great, I hated to have any cars on it! read more

I have to start by saying I'm 100% satisfied and couldn't be happier with Pave Tech. We wanted to widen/repave the driveway and add a brick walkway from the driveway to intersect with our main walkway so we didn't have to walk across the lawn. Since we were widening and not just resurfacing, it was required by our town that we use a town approved contractor. Eddie, the owner, was required to apply for this before they could start the work and let me say, the approval process was arduous. The town meets every two weeks to approve these requests. In short, after multiple phone calls, and the town losing paperwork, it was about 3 months until Eddie finally was approved. You're wondering why I waited and didn't just go with someone else? Throughout the whole process Eddie was persistent, would phone the permit office, and would even go down there to ensure things were moving along, and to get status. If I had questions he would respond almost immediately via phone call or text and he always kept me in the loop. He is by far the best contractor I've worked with. A standup guy for sure and a man of his word, which I find is hard to come by these days. After finally getting approved, his team came out and finished all the work in just 2 days! It was quite amazing. The finished product was incredible and my wife and I couldn't have been happier. Eddie even gave us some great suggestions on our initial design ideas that look great. Sure, we could have just went with another "approved" contractor but Eddie was such a good guy I just couldn't do it. One last thing...5 days after the driveway was done and we could park on it, I noticed a small amount of paver had washed away and left a small pot mark. I took a picture, sent it to Eddie, and a few minutes later he explained a small leak from my wife's car (gas, oil, maybe antifreeze) can eat up the paver mix and the recent rain most likely washed it away. No worries though! Eddie told me to get the leak fixed and then he'd come right out and fix it for us. Again, why I stuck it out. If you want a great experience with your project, I'd highly recommend Pave Tech. Just know that this kind of stuff means they are really busy so call sooner than later! read more

We just bought a house, and it needed a lot of work outside including repairing the garage floor, repaving the driveway, and demolishing and rebuilding our front and back steps. Since we were doing all this work - we figured we would add some planter beds and a put in a patio in the back as well. We bid out the job to several contractors and what struck me about Pave Tech was that they were the quickest to turn around the quote, the quickest to answer any questions I had, and were the most reasonable priced. Eddie and his guys did a terrific job - our yard with its new patio, steps, planter beds, and driveway look absolutely night and day different than before. Our job wasn't small, but he was done in exactly two weeks even after we decided to add a walkway, garden bed, and sodding 4000 s.f. of lawn. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pave Tech to anyone. Thanks guys! read more

We hired PaveTech because of the other reviews we had seen and were not disappointed. The pandemic definitely threw a wrench in things and caused some delays in getting started but once the project was started (work was done in July), it was done quickly, with good quality and looks good, which was especially challenging because of the different grades around the driveway that had to be blended together to get a smooth driveway that was graded properly. We still get comments from our neighbors about how good the retaining wall and driveway looks! read more

Pave Tech recently paved the very old asphalt driveway (removing the existing asphalt and supplementing the base material) at our home, and we were entirely satisfied with the experience, beginning to end. The proprietor (Eddie) met with me promptly after we contacted him, explained what he would do, had us a proposal in short order, accepted our comments on it and had the work completed, all in just over a month. The price, in our opinion, was reasonable, the paving looks great, the workman without exception were polite, considerate, and hardworking. Eddie himself spent a lot of time here overseeing the work and and doing some himself. The main work was completed in a day (quite a few workmen and machines) with minor touch up the following day and no real inconvenience to us. This was such a nice contrast to our experience with some other contractors. read more

Pave Tech recently repaved my driveway and did a very nice job. They first had to tear up my old cracked concrete driveway which only took a few hours. Then they installed a beautiful new asphalt driveway with paving stones lining the sides. Took two full days start to finish (after the necessary permits were obtained which is the longest part of the process). The workers were careful not to damage the flower beds that already lined the sides of the driveway. Overall, they did a nice job and I've got no complaints. read more

I found Pave Tech on a list from the City of Cambridge. Eddie was so easy to deal with - responsive to my texts, answered all my questions - and was significantly more reasonable than the other bids I had received. We had to wait for them to be available but it was worth the wait. The crew was so professional - the Bobcat operator was just AMAZING - they worked straight through with no break. The job was on a main street in Cambridge, to tear up and replace a driveway that was asphalt with concrete underneath and was more than 60 years old. The weather was not good, but they came in the morning and finished the job in one day, and did everything promised. After it was finished Eddie called to explain how to protect the new pavement and we chatted like we were old friends. I am so pleased. read more

The owner of the company did responded to my complaint and addressed my concern. Yes, they both came and met me at the job side and were willing to work with me making a correction. I appreciate their response and corrective action. ******************************************************************************** I hired PaveTech last fall, before the cold weather hit us. That is when the driveway problem starts. till now, the problem still persist and the owner is nowhere to see. PaveTech rushed through the paving job and cutting corners! Instead do two layer paving as all driveway need (binder and top layer), they only do one layer, save him labor and a trip. Worse, for my job, he rushed his labors through the dark night paving despite I insisted to have his crew coming back the next day when they can see the job to finish the paving. In Oct dark night, he order his crew work until 8:00pm, but told me that they will be back to finish the job next morning. Only after I spoke with the resident at the house and knowing, he lied to me and his crew did all the preparation and paving on the same night till 8:00 or 9:00pm in Oct 2013. As a result, there are several water paddles in the middle of the driveway. Worse, the driveway pitch did not prepared correctly and now the water back flow into the driveway each time rain, snow melt, etc. A $3000 job create a disaster. I called owner Eddie many times, from last Fall, he said he will definitely come back to fix it when the weather turns warm. Fine, I was patiently wait till this Spring, in April, one day I called, he said that he will be on vacation next week and will be back to fix it after vacation. Now three months past and we are into July, 2014, he never appears. I will suspect where all these 5 star review come from. I will definitely file complaint with BBB and filing suit for triple damage claim. read more

Last fall, my contractor used Patch Tech did a driveway paving for our driveway. The project was a disaster. After paving, the garage starts has water each time rains, snow melt. the garage has always been our dry storage area. Now we can't store anything valuable. In addition, there are many paddles in the middle of the driveway. We were told the owner of the company agreed to come back "fix" the problem. Till now, more than 8 moths past, the problem still exist. Do your favor, stay away from this company. read more

The landlord used this company to rebuild a retaining wall, steps, and driveway. The concrete walkway didn't last through the first winter. It started breaking apart immediately. It needs to be redone already. The concrete on the walls is cracking. The cap on top of the retaining wall wasn't finished on the back side, so it's crumbling on that side and very hard to plant anything there. They didn't pay attention to "details" such as finishing the cap. The driveway paving is a good job, but it took the company 3 months after finishing the rest of the work to come do it, and there was a dirt driveway for those 3 months. The company also added marble tops to the steps. The marble work was great, but the steps are not set evenly - the tilt is different on each step. read more
