RJ lock promptly handled our re-key issue with speed, knowledge, professionalism, and great customer service. That includes the front desk and the tech they sent out. The price for services was good. I highly recommend their services. read more

Called to have my OC condo digital door lock code changed. No problem. They went in and after using the master code did the deed. The price was more than fare. I didn't have time to do I myself as I live in Bel Air, MD. My grandson was there for the previous weekend and the AC quit and rather than take all his time waiting for the AC technician I gave them the code. They fixed the AC but I didn't want everybody at the repair place to have the code. This is not a rental and I want my family to feel comfortable and not worry about an intruder. So I called these folks and they got right on it an now it's a done deal. Thank you very much. read more

Called twice to make an appointment and both times the appointment was not made. First time could MAYBE be chalked up to a miscommunication. Second time they made it for the wrong day, which could be basic human error, except the woman was so rude on the phone. Kept cutting me off, telling me I was mistaken, wouldn't let me explain my frustration and then yelled at me like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum. read more

If there was a ZERO that's what they would get. I called and left a message late night Friday Another message Saturday. No return phone call whatsoever. How can you say you provide emergency service if you don't return phone calls. What a piss, poor company. read more

Had a great experience with Pete from RJ locksmith. I tried to replace a deadbolt with a fancy digital remote lock, aborted the mission, then tried to put my original lock back on, to no avail. After fiddling around for hours, I finally called RJ Locksmith, and within 30 min, Pete was at the door and saved the day. Within 10 min, my lock was replaced, rekeyed, and ready to go. Without making me feel foolish, he even gave me a little tutorial. If you need a re key or change your locks, call Pete. Nice guy, talented, reasonable rates. read more

R. J. Lock & Security - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Ocean City, Maryland

We have an immobilizer issue with a 2002 Toyota Avalon, A vehicle services team member came out earlier than scheduled, they did call first to make sure it was ok. Even though we were unsuccessful at getting the computers to reset (Toyota doesn't make them this hard anymore) the technician was very thorough and gave it his all for an hour. I really appreciate RJ Locksmith, they have been in business for over 40 years here on the shore. read more

I was very impressed with this company. It was easy to call and arrange a Saturday morning appointment to get a front door lock changed. My locksmith came within the window and got the job done in a timely manner. He was polite, walked me through what he was doing, and explained why he did it. I'm glad I found them on Yelp. read more

They were fast, good and reliable. Shared advice about the shape of the door locks and what to look for when we bought new ones.

If I could give more than 5 stars for R.J. Lock & Security I definitely would. I arrived in OC on a rainy dark Sun night and was locked out of the key code on the condo lobby. After calls to the bldg mgmt, their answering service said they couldnt help. Called R.J. Lock , they got me in in less than 30 min. and couldnt have been any kinder. They were soooo nice and helpful. I would absolutely call them if I have any lock or key issue again. They are simply the BEST, recommend them completely read more

Pete from R.J. Lock & Security came out on a Sunday afternoon when I was locked out of my house (the batteries to my code lock were dead and I didn't have a key). The response was very quick; he was here (South Bethany) within 20 minutes). Pete said that those kind of locks are very hard to pick and asked if I had a back door. He went to the sliding glass door in the back of my house and I was inside in a matter of minutes. He was polite, very kind-hearted, very professional and very honest. I highly recommend Pete and would definitely use this company should the need arise again. read more

Prior to arriving at my new home in the area of Ocean Pines, MD, I contacted RJ Lock and Safe to inquire about getting a small safe for my home. After speaking with the person on the phone, who asked me if I already had the safe, I ordered one from Amazon, as I was told that they could install it. I stopped in at their place of business to inquire about getting the small 2 cubic foot safe installed. I was requested to provide the specs from the Amazon site where I had ordered it, and did so. They seemed very helpful and agreed to provide an estimate and a time to install it. The email back and forth with their employee, Michael, seemed perfectly reasonable, both with the price of installation and the timing. The installation was scheduled for this past Monday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. By 4:30 on the day the installation was scheduled, they still hadn't arrived, hadn't called, hadn't texted or contacted me in any way. I called their office. To my surprise and dismay, there was no work order and therefore no one was coming! The excuse: "I guess I forgot to put in the work order"! Since I really wanted to get this over with we rescheduled for today, Wednesday, between 1:00 and 3:00. I received a call that the installer was on his way. When he arrived, he refused to move the safe to where it was to be installed and told me to get someone else as he thought he was only mounting it. He said "I have a bad back. This isn't going to work. Get someone else." His attitude was rude and belligerent. Needless to say, I WILL get someone else. I have rarely written a review and when I have they have been positive. In this case, however, this has been my experience with RJ Lock and Safe. read more

Unfortunately, I locked myself out of a small wall mounted safe that I have. R.J. Lock and Security was quick, efficient and much less expensive than I had anticipated. They did a great job. In and out with mask worn at all time. read more

Pete was a HUGE help to me today when my key was jammed in my door and my lock was busted. I was previously taken advantage of by being charged $300 for a dysfunctional lock from Delmarva Locksmith. Pete was very generous in helping me out and understanding my situation. Thank you so much! read more

Though a bit pricey, could not have been happier with prompt, professional service.

Great service provided! They arrived in time and quickly solved my lock issue. The price was beyond fair! Thank you David!

Locked my keys in my truck on a Sunday during our St. Patrick's' Parade vacation in O.C. with my family. Called RJ Lock & Security and they were responsive, informative (I knew exactly what to expect money wise) and they even gave me the opportunity to call and cancel in case we got into the truck. Pete arrived 10 minutes prior to his quoted time and in less than 5 minutes we were in my truck! And on top of the excellent service we were provided it was a very reasonable price for a Sunday call! Pete gave me some great advice so this wouldn't happen to me again and when I got home I took his advice. IF I ever need Locksmithing services I will not hesitate to call on RJ Locksmith. Thank you for getting me back on the road! read more

These folks are awesome. I was exploring the Berlin/Ocean City area and it peaked my curiosity to check out their office and sales floor (which is a little hidden off the beaten path). I needed a couple safes for our office but wasn't sure I'd purchase anything just yet. Their staff was very helpful, gave me great prices on a large used safe and a small one as well. They quoted me great rates for delivery & installation as well - they really helped my non-profit save lots of money. They were very easy to work with, they delivered the big safe and had everything installed within 48 hours. I highly recommend RJ Lock & Security. I normally don't rate 5 stars, but these folks really took good care of us. read more

Service Date = 25 Jan 2014 None-emergency commercial glass door lock change/installation. - Fast = They got a technician on-site within an hour of phone call, and it was for an none-emergency type! - Courteous = Lisa was very nice, upbeat, and thorough over the phone. Pete (the service technician) was friendly, patient, and approachable. - Knowledgeable = with just a few questions over the phone, they knew exactly what I needed and explained it to me in detail. - Fair = The rough estimate over the phone was right in the ballpark of the final cost. The price is amazing for the level of professional work serviced. - My clients were so impressed that they specifically asked me to call R J back to say thank you. Highly recommended! read more

When I called the person who answered the phone Lisa was very nice and helpful. This was a good sign I thought. It was a hot day and I was locked out. Pete the locksmith, due to the heat, got over right away. He was amazing, very nice guy, really knew his business. Pete helped make what could have been a miserable experience as close to pleasant as possible. I highly recommend Pete and RJ. read more

My friend and I locked ourselves out of my car while we were out shopping on vacation. After calling several different locksmiths I got in touch with the people over at R.J. Locks & Security. The operator was super nice and helpful and put us in touch with Pete Narowanski who came to our rescue. Pete was super friendly and adept and never treated us like the two dumb blondes that we were feeling like at the moment. He was so helpful and knowledgable and was able to get us on our way within the hour after he arrived. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation in Ocean City I absolutely recommend Pete and the people over at R.J. Locks & Security- he definitely rescued the end of our vacation! read more

First I don't really ever do reviews, but honestly the treatment I received was horrible. Our renters were locked out of our unit and needed to make a key. The man answering the phone was quickly frustrated and impatient. He asked me if he could speak to a man. I thought I heard him incorrectly at first, I said I am sorry I didn't hear what you said, and he said never mind. Then when my husband was giving me the model number for the lock he said who are you talking to and I said my husband and he said let me talk to him, so I did. Now I was still looking for the correct key to make sure I gave him the correct code he was asking for while he was talking to my husband. Then I said let me talk to him I found the code he needs and my husband said he hung up. So I tried to call him back and he wouldn't answer. So I did not get my issue resolved with RJ Lock & Security and they treated us very rudely. I would not recommend them at all, I would have given them zero stars if that was possible. I understand it is a Sunday evening, but I thought that you had emergency residential service. read more
