We see alot of posts about Stuckey's on social media so we decided to stop in and check them out…read more The spot is spacious, bright and clean. You do get hit with the smell of fried food when you enter Tables are well spaced. Full bar. Owner and server were both friendly. Menu is posted on facebook daily. Dine in and carry out. Several big screen TVs. Food came out as it was ready vs course. We shared everything so it was fine, if not and dining with friends, it would have been akward Everything was flavorful. The crab cake was all crab-no filler! What we tried: Smash burger Crab cake Wings Cowboy beans Slaw My rating rationale +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +.5 Presentation +.5 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

The lemonade and tea were in individually packaged containers that appeared to be made in-house, but they were completely unmarked--no ingredients, no descriptions, nothing. Oddly enough, the seals didn't appear to be broken. We tried the blueberry lemonade, which was just okay. I ordered the crab cake dinner and was told it came with two sides, so I chose fries and potato salad. My friend ordered the steak and cheese. When the food arrived, it was served in takeout containers. I opened my crab cake and immediately knew something was wrong. It was a strange color I didn't recognize and looked more like a giant doughnut than a crab cake. When I cut into it, the inside looked yellow, almost like mustard. There was very little crab meat, and it was honestly disgusting. My friend's steak and cheese wasn't any better. The meat looked like it had been chewed up and spit back out. It was served on a sesame seed roll, and my friend actually asked if it was mystery meat. I wish I had taken pictures. The potato salad came in a pint-sized container but was gross. The fries were the only somewhat edible item, but they were very dark brown and looked like they had been sitting in old grease. Then came the billing issue. My total initially came to $42 for the crab cake and two sides. After questioning it, I was told I had been charged for three sides by mistake, so $8 was removed. Yes--$8 for a side dish. When I questioned why I was being charged separately for the sides when I had ordered the crab cake dinner, I was told that only the crab cake dinner came with sides, not the sandwich. The problem is that I never ordered a sandwich. There was no bun with my crab cake, and the employee specifically asked which two sides I wanted, leading me to believe I was ordering the dinner. In the end, I paid: $22 for a crab cake "sandwich" (without a bun) $8 for potato salad $4 for fries Total: $36 for one of the worst meals I've ever had. After I paid, the cashier informed me that she had forgotten to charge me for my drink and wanted to add it on. At that point, after spending $36 on an awful meal and feeling like I had already been overcharged, I just stared at her. Thankfully, she decided not to charge me for the drink. My friend paid $19 for the steak and cheese and $3.50 for a drink--also far more than the food was worth. Friendly staff cannot make up for poor food quality, confusing pricing, and an overall terrible dining experience. I would not return - EVER.

I visited this food truck at the Springfield Town Center festival event. I came straight to yelp to…read morereview and shocked to see that it hasn't been reviewed in a while. Let me start with the wonderful service of the workers. She was so kind and helpful. Now the food.. omg. I'm front North Carolina so I know southern food. The catfish was well seasoned and even though she didn't have tartar sauce, which is a staple for me with catfish, I didn't need it! I also got the green beans and Mac. Both were also amazing. I finished it off with her banana pudding cake which was a different take on banana pudding but still delicious. If you see this truck out don't hesitate to get it asap! How can I forget the price point, too. $15 for a plate that's packed to the max.

I would like to preference my thoughts by acknowledging I am from the south and grew up eating soul…read morefood daily!!! Now, while the servers with Staceys Superior Soul Food were incredibly kind and accommodating, it doesn't change the fact that the food was a bit soulless on arrival. The ideal dish from a soul food menu is prepared with various spices. This not just goes well with the meat dishes but also adds on to the overall taste and aroma of the food. My expectations are always higher when I see restaurants with "Superior" Soul Food in their title because of the history of the term "soul food" refers to the traditional food prepared by black people living in the southern part of the U.S. By no means do I believe you have to be black or from the south to prepare excellent soul food, but I would not recommend ordering "fresh" crabs or seafood from a dry climate desert state such as New Mexico; order Mexican food! But that's beside the point. Pros: The food came out hot & fresh, and the baked macaroni & cheese was creamy. Cons: Everything lacked flavor (seasoning) fried chicken, green beans, and especially the baked macaroni & cheese. The chicken wings are just a bit tiny with little meat to the bone. Everything tasted quite bland, but I want to give this business another opportunity because the family was extremely nice and it could have just been a bad day due to someone accidentally leaving all of the seasoning(s) at home. I'm rooting for this business because I want the demand for soul food to grow in NOVA, and this business has an opportunity to capture the market share. At this point, I can not personally recommend this food truck to anyone that has truly experienced the taste of SOUL FOOD! Looking forward to updating my review upon next visit.
