Be prepared to drive across about 1.5 miles of dirt/gravel road. Your car will certainly get dirty. This property is remote and not near anything. No hiking trails nearby, stores, etc. It's was not an issue, but we were not prepared for driving on dirt/gravel for so long. There's a large fenced dirt-field on one side and a vineyard on the other side of the grounds and I believe the owner is at the top of the hill. The good: Cute outdoor space to sit around the gas fire pit. We had a nice evening sitting around it, with soft music playing from our camper. There are 3 campers on the property that share the common space. You get fresh eggs, butter, OJ and champagne in the fridge. Apparently you can see the farm animals if you coordinate with the owner, but we didn't have time. Since it's remote, you can be somewhat loud and dance around the common area. The bad: The dining table was warped, but we didn't use it at all. Cobwebs around wheels of camper and plants: wouldn't be a big deal but the small outside dining table is right next to them. Bed sheets were absolutely filthy. I don't know when the last time they were washed. The unit smelled. I felt like I was in an outhouse the entire time. We purchased 2 candles at a couple of wineries to try and hide the smell...it slightly worked. We wouldn't have stayed any night except we came with another couple who couldn't afford to stay someplace else at the last minute. Our friends also complained about the smell of their unit (they purchased candles too) and what looked like dirty towels just thrown back into the cabinets. I debated whether to give this place 1 or 2 stars. I decided to give 2 because I can see a lot of positive in the place. However, it needs some major cleaning. read more

We had previously stayed at Reves De Moutons and we have wanted to come back for awhile. Once we heard about the Petite Suites we knew we had to visit again! This was the most prefect vacation with friends. We got all three of the suites and had an amazing time hanging out all weekend. Each camper is thoughtfully designed in a different motif, with every amenity covered, along with coffee, fresh eggs in the fridge from their adorable chickens, milk, a bottle of MUMM Sparkling Wine and OJ to make mimosas in the morning. The A/C in the campers works wonderfully, and the bed is firm, yet comfy. You are also provided with plenty of flatware and glasses/plates/bowls, etc.. to get you through the weekend should you choose to eat there, which we did! We did a grocery store run the first night and grilled steaks and veggies on the awesome BBQ they have, and ate out on the lovely dining table. The next morning we made bacon, eggs, and toast and dined al fresco again. They have a great communal area for hanging out with comfy stylish furniture, a fire-pit table, and a large hammock under their gorgeous oak tree, which one of my friends laid in for a couple hours one night. The wifi is good, and they even have speakers inside and outside of each camper if you want some jams! I can tell you a lot of 80's music was played outside, hope Kristy and Evan didn't hear us! So aside from this being a really great place to stay and hang out with friends, the hosts, Kristy & Evan are probably the sweetest couple I have ever met. They came down and greeted us about 30 minutes after we had all arrived and talked with us a bit before going back up to their house. They also had their two adorable dogs come down with them, who are some of the most loving dogs I have ever met. Lastly, let's not forget, the GOATS! And the sheep, and the chickens, and the ducks. They have the most amazing farm with the sweetest animals you could ever meet. I spent about 30 minutes just loving on their beautiful animals, petting and talking to them. They are all so friendly and nice and love human interaction. If you are thinking of staying here, don't think twice, just book it! It's an amazing place, close to downtown and not far from the wineries. You will LOVE staying here. read more

An absolute 5/5. What an experience at Reves des Moutons! Let me start by saying that we first booked a nonrefundable two-night stay about a month ago. Unfortunately, my wife got sick the night before our departure. So we had to cancel, but we got a full refund! We were so grateful and rebooked for a few weeks later. It didn't disappoint. The guys were welcoming and polite. They showed us the farm for around 45' talking about their following projects. We loved the place, and we are planning to come back! Located about 15 minutes from downtown in Paso, you get to stay in one of three fully equipped RVs. You'll overlook nothing but beautiful vineyards and pastures. It's an adult-only getaway which is something that I really enjoy. Where do I begin with this little gem in the rolling foothills of Paso Robles? You follow a country road amidst the signature oak trees of the region to the west. As you venture down the long driveway surrounded by vineyards on either side, you know you've landed somewhere special. We have enjoyed several stays at Rêves de Moutons and we just keep coming back for more. Literally, we can't get enough of this place between the lovable animals, amazing views, and delightful innkeepers. We're sad to leave it behind each time we head back down to San Diego. We love it here so much. Let's go through an average day during one of our stays... following a restful sleep in a comfortable and well-appointed guest room (and we're picky people... we have a tempurpedic mattress at home and rarely feel well-rested in foreign beds!), we are greeted with strong legit coffee on the back patio with a breakfast including farm-fresh eggs (does it get better than that?!) as the sun blankets the panoramic views of the velvety central coast hills that we love, all played out to the soundtrack of farm life with chickens, sheep and goats going about their morning routine. One of our favorite things is what we've aptly named "sheep tv" as we watch the herd cruise across the pasture and life just slows down for a bit... perfection in our book. After equalizing and letting life just go on around us for a bit, we clean up and head out for wine-tasting around our favorite wine region. Lots of options near and far to be enjoyed, depending on how adventurous you are. There are even a few tasting rooms within just a few minutes of the farm! Sidenote: highly recommend Lush Limos too if you want to be responsible and safe. Once we've enjoyed our afternoon out a few wineries, we love to grab some dinner to bring back to the farm for relaxed fare later on. But we wouldn't want to miss the show in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set and we watch the shadows grow across the folds of hills from a comfortable loungy outdoor sectional overlooking the pasture and hills with unique views in each direction. It's pretty amazing. No, it's epic. This is also the time of day where you may hear the "bubbly bell" ring indicating champagne/wine time with the delightful innkeepers, Kristy and Evan. Though, it's not required, and not for everyone, we LOVE hanging out with them, hearing their stories of farm life and their pursuit to chase their dream with a working farm/inn moving towards a fromagerie. They're inspiring and keep great company! Then we have a relaxed evening enjoying the big open sky full of stars (and even reflections of the Milky Way!), listening to the sounds of owls, frogs, and even a wild coyote in the distance. You really feel connected with nature and all the worries and rush-rush of the rat race seem to disappear here. And we think that's magical. And for the animal lovers (as we are!) out there, Rêves de Moutons is filled with sweet, lovable farm animals who are well socialized and seem to really enjoy human interaction. We've even been around shortly after little baby lambs have been born and it was an incredible experience to be that close to them. As an added bonus, we also absolutely adore their cheese, when in season. Their chèvre is the bomb! The property itself is spotted with the signature oak trees of the region (Paso de Robles=the pass of the oaks) and there is plenty of distance from the neighbors so you truly feel like you're getting away from it all. I highly recommend a stay here if you're looking to get away from it all, while being surrounded by nature and animals, and having everything Central Coast has to offer within a stone's throw. Value for money: 10/10. Not only was this one of the more affordable options on the entire central coast, there were also plenty of added perks including a fun farm tour featuring friendly fluffy sheep and goats, fresh milk, eggs, butter, and champagne. There is a very useful outdoor space including a gas firepit, grill, hammock, and lounge space. Local Attractions: 10/10. We came to visit Big Sur but actually spent most of our time near the farm and strolling around downtown Paso Robles (and stumbling upon a magnificent statue of my fellow countryman Ignacy Jan Paderewski in the very central plaza). We discovered an unforgettable night light show in the fields just east of town. Night's Sleep: 10/10 No counting of sheep was needed to fall asleep here! The farm is tucked away in a beautiful pasture surrounded by nature, vineyards, and plenty of privacy from the fellow guests. I'm so happy we picked this B&B. The petite suites were simply adorable, and they were perfectly clean, comfy, and cozy. It was so nice to use the fire pit and enjoy the pretty lights outdoors, nestled in between vineyards. We loved having farm fresh eggs available to us each morning for breakfast. The farm tour was the best part! The farm dog, Matilde, was so sweet and most impressive. We loved our experience, and we could really see how much the owners love what they're doing. The location was great for being near plenty of wineries and close access to the downtown area. If you're looking for a getaway, this is a much better option than a hotel. We arrived at their farm on a Tuesday, and Evan was immediately extremely accommodating right off the bat. The camper was beautiful and clean. The queen bed felt amazing to sleep on. In the fridge, they provided fresh eggs, OJ, milk, and butter (we put in the request for the breakfast basket that comes with fresh scones, goat butter, fruits, cheese, meats, and crackers - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). Evan provided a farm tour to introduce us to the sheep and goats, as well as the sweetest border collie Matilda. He gave us recs to check out in the area, including vineries, restaurants, and the mid-state fair that was happening. This was an amazing getaway and would come here again in an instant. read more

Fun and unique experience. Evan was very helpful and responsive and took us to meet all of the animals on his farm. We stayed in the Joy trailer and found its flamingo theme delightful. The farm fresh eggs were to die for and so was the Orange Juice. If you plan on übering into town, be ready to wait for 30 minutes due to the remote nature of the property. It rained a lot while we were in town and the dirt road can get pretty muddy (also a paved road to the 101 was flooded pretty badly in 2 spots). My friend and I wanted to go wine tasting around Paso Robles and stayed at this amazing farm for 2 nights. We stayed in Bliss and it was really cute and exactly like the pictures on the website. Evan and Kristy were so wonderful and sweet. They greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave lots of recommendations as to where to go wine tasting. We really felt comfortable and safe staying outside by the fire place at nights and enjoyed every second of our stay. We had goodies in our frig from Evan and Kristy (water, orange juice, fresh eggs, and etc) and had ordered the breakfast basket which was DELICIOUS! It was nice to use the kitchen to make breakfast and lunch and eat outside while enjoying the scenery. We had the chance to hang out with the farm animals in the mornings and it made our stay extra special. We even got a few furry visitors that reminded us of our own pets at home. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

Our recent trip to Paso Robles was a few firsts for me: the first Air Bn'B experience my parents didn't foot the bill for, the first true wine tasting experience and the first visit to Paso Robles. Everything about our trip for my best friend's 12th wedding anniversary was just amazing and perfect, starting with Reves de Moutons. I was charmed before we ever got here, when I saw the picture of that adorable little lamb I immediately needed to snuggle. However, I did read all the details and knew there would be no lambs to snuggle, since we would be arriving mid-November. But that's okay! There are sheep, a llama, goats, ducks, chickens and two really adorable, sweet dogs to play with. This is the place to go if you just revel in animal love. They are all so friendly and funny! Most of all, though, the owners Kristy and Evan make it all so special. They are so welcoming and warm, we felt like we were staying with friends. Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne! It was just so fancy and unexpected. You're staying in their home, in one of two bedrooms made for guests. You will share a bathroom with the other guests, so if you can make it your friends, do so! The property is gorgeous....views of rolling hills for miles. It's also a little bit off the beaten path and only 10-15 minutes from the main part of town, which I personally liked since it was so quiet up there. It's a true getaway. The house itself is comfortable and beautifully decorated without being so nice that you don't want to breathe on, sit on or touch anything. I felt totally comfortable there. To get there, you will be on a dirt road. A low-clearance vehicle is usually okay, I would think, but if it's raining I'd be cautious. It rained our first morning there and it was amazing how muddy it got in a relatively short period of time! Both rooms are comfortable and spacious. I slept like a dream, thanks to the super comfy bed and the pitch-black room! Every morning, we woke up to the house smelling incredible. Kristy was at work in the kitchen making us scones, egg and hash brown cups, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. Everything tasted better than anything we ate in town! And we ate well in town, too, believe me. You just can't beat homemade, amirite? Kristy and Evan are happy to tell you anything you want to know about farm and B&B life (and wine!), and I found their story inspiring and fascinating. It's cool to see how much they've learned and how much heart they put into everything they do. They have even more plans for the property, and I can't wait to come back and see what they've done! If you're ever looking to stay in Paso Robles and do something different, relaxing and fun, come here! You will have the time of your life. read more

Evan, graciously, gave us a farm tour and introduced us to the goats, sheep, chickens, rooster and dogs. My husband and I stayed here on an anniversary weekend trip to Paso for wine tasting and we loved it. Kristy and Evan are the lovely hosts of this charming farmstay bnb. They are a working farm and a fromagerie so the absolutely delicious breakfast includes fresh made cheese from the goats on the farm, along with warm, homemade scones and fresh fruit. You can engage with the animals if you want but they are well organized (if that was a concern of yours). The hosts are so nice and are literally living their dream (hence reves), and thus are delightfully hospitable and lovely to talk with. Evan is a sommelier in training, with a wealth of information about wine (which is very useful for those who have not been in a wine tasting region before), they gave us great tips on vineyards and where to go, as well as a welcome greeting with champagne! What a wonderful adventure this place is! Our group of five women rented all 3 campers. It was like our own little village. The campers are so adorable! Each has a different theme inside: cherries (Bliss), flamingos (Joy) & all things French (Harmony). The shared space included a fire pit surrounded by couches & a dining area with a chandelier made from mason jars. So nice! But the best part was getting to meet Kristy & Evan, the owners. They were so gracious & kind. Evan gave us a tour of the farm (sheep, goats, chickens, a donkey & an amazing sheepdog!) Each morning the sheep came down the hill baaing as they passed our camp. It was a true delight! I recommend this experience to anyone to loves animals & to those who want to "glamp." read more

This is truly the most disappointing trip I have ever had!! I was dreamed to live on a farm, having experience of milking the sheep/goats, go into the field with the flocks...if you have that expectation, please find another place to live...My husband and I drove 5 hours one way to live on their farm, and I only spent 15 minutes with the sheep/goat (brief farm tour, that's it). The rest of the time, if you want to explore the farm, you can only watch the animals that were kept in the fence, you are not allowed to go inside the pens or pastures. I wish I could've done enough research before I book their camper. The next day, they cancelled the 9 am tour without notifying us. I mean if you guys have other plans, could you please let us know in advance? This was not what I signed up for. Driving over 10 hours round trip, and interacting with the animals for about 15 minutes...I'd better go to the Zoo. We also found a couple of human hairs on our bedsheets, for anyone who has strong sanitary concerns, I DO NOT RECOMMEND HERE. read more

We stayed with Kristy and Evan for 2 nights and couldn't have hoped for a better experience. They are truly special people -- very easy to be with and so passionate about their growing farm that it's infectious. We just loved being out in the field with Evan and their working dog Mathilde as he moved some of their flock of sheep and goats to pasture. Fascinating! Kristy and Evan have the "host" thing down. We were welcomed with champagne and smiles. They took the time to sit down, by the fire place, and chat with us before showing us to our room. The room was cozy and the bed so comfortable. We woke to the smell of amazing scones - what a wonderful breakfast treat. We got a tour of the super cute farm with breathtaking views. After gathering some great recommendations we were off for a delightful day of wine tasting. We couldn't have asked for a better home base. She planned the whole thing, so I can't take any of the credit...but wow did she NAIL IT! when it came to the B&B she selected. We stayed at Reves de Moutons. As we first arrived, Kristy and Evan greeted us at the door with champagne - our stay just got better from there. We fed the goats and sheep and enjoyed getting acquainted with the various pets/animals on their farm. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable and the company was exquisite!!! A diamond in the rough for sure! We spent a weekend with Kristy, Evan and all the animals at Reves de Moutons, and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. We drove up the dirt road to their farm, wondering what we would find at the end. What we found were three darling, adorable trailers situated around a central court that was outfitted with comfy outdoor sofas, a fire table, and a pergola covered dining table facing out into the country. Our little group reserved all three trailers, so it felt a bit like camping with our best friends. The trailers are eached named: Harmony, Bliss, and Joy. Each is decorated according to its name, with kitchy throw pillows, polka dotted curtains, etc. The trailers are not large but perfectly big enough for a couple, the bed was comfy and cozy. Kristy and Evan were wonderful hosts. They made sure we were comfortable and had whatever we needed. When we arrived, each fridge had a dozen freshly laid eggs, along with fresh orange juice, milk, and champaigne. We made it a point to get up in the morning to accompany Evan on his rounds with the animals. We held week-old lambs, watched him milk the goats, saw the chicken parade as Kristy opened the hatch to the chicken shed. Matilde the wonder dog made us feel right at home, too. We even got to sample their home-made cheeses - so delicious! Reves de Moutons is a few miles from the center of town, maybe a 10 minute drive, so it feels very rural but has access to all the important places, from grocery store to wineries.
