Although I am not completely vegan, my best friend is and this was a great place for both of us to enjoy. I had the chips and guacamole which was a small tapas for. me but it was fantastic. My friend had a salad and the carrot cake. The salad was great, good portions. In a sea of the same ol' fried tapas, this place was a breath of fresh air. Delicious, light and filling. We loved the selection of beverages including a small selection of local craft beer and mixed drinks perfect for vacation dinner. By far my favorite part of the meal was dessert. Banana chocolate vegan cake recommended by our waiter was absolutely heavenly. The price of the meal was incredibly reasonable. 30 euros for appetizer, 2 sandwiches, 2 alcoholic beverages and 1 dessert. The burgers they have here are great! Not in the sense that they're the best you'll ever have, but in the sense that your vegan burger can compete with and even beat some traditional burgers. However, I think the smoothies are overrated here. It was good, but not what I was expecting. A bit more watered down, and strangely enough, not fruity enough for me. Too much milk for my taste. However, this might just be because I'm comparing it to some really great smoothies I had elsewhere just yesterday. Overall, I like the quaint atmosphere (although I would prefer some more leg room--this place had one small room with 4 small and squished tables), and the food is delicious. read more

I'm torn about this little vegetarian haven in Barcelona's hip Gracia neighbourhood. One the one hand, they make killer ice tea and fresh juices. On the other hand, the burgers are really dry. On the upside, they're located in an awesome neighbourhood. On the downside, I've often found the staff to be rather unfriendly. Hum. I guess, I'd say give it a shot and see how you feel about it. If you're a vegetarian looking for a spot to eat, this certainly won't be a bad choice (although it probably won't blow your socks off). read more

Great little (mostly all) vegan spot in Barcelona. The place is tiny and you may be sharing a table with someone but that's how you meet locals. My boyfriend and I ordered their lunch time specials that comes with a meal and a juice. I ordered the "Aleman" which is a tofu hotdog and my boyfriend ordered the veggie burger. Both were very good and we topped it off with a vegan tiramisu cake. Best of all was the price, under 20 euros and they take credit card. Highly recommend this spot for a vegan lunch. read more

My stay in Gracia was a wonderful experience. It is only about a 30 minute walk to the city center but also offers plenty of vegan reasons to stay put! Quinoa was busy the evening I visited and only had bar seating available in their tiny space. My husband wasn't very hungry & always complains about sitting on stools so I ordered the vegan carrot cake to go. I'd been told earlier in the day by a local vegan that they have the best carrot cake in town. Throughout my visit to Barcelona, I also tried the carrot cake at Vegetalia Gotic & at Green Spot so became quite the expert. And Quinoa's cake easily won the title of best carrot cake in the city. The cake was moist & delicious and the frosting was the closest to a cream cheese frosting I've ever had since becoming vegan 7 years ago. It was incredible! I planned on returning later in the week to enjoy a full meal but with the number of full vegan restaurants now open in BCN, I simply ran out of time. No problem... it gives me the perfect excuse to visit Spain again. read more

Located in between Sagrada Familia and Park Guell, this restaurant offers the BEST vegetarian/vegan/overall healthiest lunch in Barcelona. Fresh ingredients and fantastic ambience. The proprietor makes every dish himself on the spot. He could easily be on Top Chef. We ordered zucchini spaghetti, fresh pressed juice, and a veggie sandwich. If you appreciate real food, do yourself a favor and take a stroll to Quinoa Bar. read more

They have a couple of burgers and salads that are OK , but nothing epic really. The "fries" that accompany the burgers are nothing but a minuscule cup of supermarket bought crisps. Overall, in my view totally overrated. The owners are not very friendly or child friendly either, I think is blindingly obvious they just want ppl moving in and out as fast as possible as the place is ridiculously small. Astounded. Went for lunch with my husband who usually cringes at the thought of a vegetarian-only restaurant and even he was blown away. This tiny restaurant is huge on flavor and food passion. Had the most delicious quiche of my life - pumpkin, leek and rosemary, and the goat cheese/strawberry/arugula salad. Really one of the best vegetarian restaurants my partner and I have ever been to--and we're urban Americans, who have been on the vegetarian spectrum for 15 years, and have been to a lot of them. So to find a great, incredibly cute and intimate vegetarian restaurant in Spain--the heart of cured ham?! Such a treat! My partner and I went to lunch here after seeing Gaudi's Sagrada Familia--and though it was a good twenty minute walk away, it was well worth the walk. We got there around Spanish lunch time (about 2:30/3pm) and had to wait for a table, but again, it was well worth the wait--even though I'm pregnant and was in pregnancy-hunger panic. Their juices are fantastic; their salads so fresh and with delightfully interesting ingredient combinations; and their sandwiches are very, very good. I just wish I had tried the veggie burger (a German couple sitting near us said it was outstanding). We also had a zuma (I'm forgetting the exact combo now, but it involved carrot and ginger) and a lemonade with grapefruit and lime (a bright, lovely zinger)--both of which hit the spot. And as others have mentioned: holy good goddess of vegan splendors, that carrot-coconut cake. It is really one of the best cakes--vegan or otherwise--I have ever eaten. I wanted to be alone in a room with it; I want to sing a whole musical devoted to it and its creator. I cannot believe it exists, it is that good. read more
