The best pita you'll ever have, zataar hummus
    Heatjer B.

We were on a mad hunt for something fresh. All the meats, cheeses, and deep fried treats had my stomach saying WTH. Thanks to the help of Yelp, we found this place. They have outdoor seating as well as inside. The servers were nice and did their best at explaining when we had questions. We opted for the chefs salad with seitan and the Zataar hummus. The chefs salad hit that spot. A beautiful harmony of Chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, lemon, herbs, a pinch of garlic.. YUM. The seitan was seasoned great, had great flavor but texture may be weird for meat lovers. It did not bother me one bit. I have had better hummus, but this was still good! Maybe because I like my hummus bursting with garlic and lemon.. and this was a little more plain, but still Velvety and smooth, a perfect accompaniment to their pillowy pita. Hands down the best pita I have EVER had. And I've lived in Saudi Arabia. So hopefully that can account to something. If you're looking for vegetarian options or just something fresh, I would recommend this place.

Cafe latte with soy milk. So delicious!

A hidden gem in this area. I was craving some healthy options after visiting casa bastllo so I came here and chose their menu of the day. It is a great value meal. They had excellent hummus (seitan hummus was just delish!). The hummus comes with soup/salad, pita bread, drink, dessert/coffee/tea. I tried their salad and cafe latte with my hummus entree and enjoyed every bite of it. They have free WiFi and great service. Check this place out! :)

I found what I'm looking for, a nice and hip place to eat the food I love. There are lots of this type of places but most of them are just like a takeout places. This is a very nice restaurant great ambient and amazing stuff, very friendly and always smiling which is a change, cause most places I've been here the stuff was kind odd. Maybe it's a Barcelona thing, but not here. Oh yeah and the food is great.

Such a great place. The staff and the owner go above and beyond to please their costumers. The food is just awesome!! Very tasty and good size portions at fair prices. This place is a must go for vegans, vegetarians or just people that enjoy great food. Ah, by the way, the music is very nice too! Next time in Barcelona I am coming back for sure.

This place marked the spot. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I preferred an indoor seat this evening because of the heat. First, the paella comes in a hearty serving. Definitely will fill you up. I arrived around 7ish for perspective and they made this to order. The paella was made wonderfully. Me personally, it seems a bit too rice heavy and not enough seasoning for my preference, but that is more an indictment on paella and not this place. They did have plenty of other options so I'm sure people are satisfied regardless.

Very filling, and such good vegetables. The fish/meat substitute was super good. Really well done. Reasonably priced for LA standards. Not sure what standard BCN pricing is but my entree was ~15 euro. Had a small amount of leftovers. Ambiance was great, too. And staff able to speak English if you have any questions. Great allergen labeling. All around stellar spot. PS my walking tour guide said Born is much cooler and less touristy than the Gothic District- if that helps you choose which location. And the church across the plaza is free after 6 pm so pop in and look for the FC Barcelona window.

Check the website to confirm the hours because the Yelp hours weren't correct and we ended up coming about and hour and a half before they closed. The staff still welcomed us in but we tried to be polite and finish early. We order drinks. I got the sangria since I wanted to try it while in Spain. The alcohol was jussssst right, if you know what I mean. I think, altogether we order just about everything on the menu between us and the portion sizes were great for being able to share amongst the table. I ordered the Indian curry with rice. We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think. Anyway, I really loved the mushroom puffed pastry and I normally have an aversion to mushrooms as well...texture thing yet again. The desserts were great too. I literally sucked the caramel flan in three bites. It was deee-licous! This place definitely is on my list of places the next time I'm in Barcelona. The decor and lighting was great for the ambiance, the staff were very nice, and the food came out fast and tasted perfect especially after a long day exploring Barcelona. Cheers!

We had the mushroom croquettes, the bread with tomatoes, and the burrata with nectarines on brioche which was the best of the three. We finished with the pumpkin pie with cardamom and the flan. They're dog friendly and you'll often find pups in the mix indoors or out (I bring my regularly). The food is mostly good. I'd skip the pasta, but the mexican burger (black beans) and the bravas (with harissa and using sweet potato) are great. The croquettas are also always awesome and they are seasonal, made in house and often have things like swiss chard or truffles. The brownie with ice cream is decent if you're missing a real brownie from the states, as most of them in BCN are not really brownies but more like bland chocolate cake. This one is legit, however. Hummus is also nice, as are the mojopicon olives for snacks. THose are the highlights. Beer selection is always pretty good, there are actually 10 taps, but two are low pressure something or other. They have organic lemonade and some other non alcoholic drinks as well; someone else said the wines aren't great and that's true, it's not really a wine spot.
