Well all the "gushing" and praising is highly deserved! My husband and I were in Barcelona for a short 33 hours to attend an FC Barcelona match at Camp Nou, and thanks to Yelp, discovered Flax & Kale. After the Sunday night match, we dined at the Tallers location, and the next day we found our way here! It was a perfect stop on our walk from La Sagrada Familia to El Born! The feel-good vibes and delicious, healthy eats continued to flow into day 2 of our short visit, and at this F&K, they have their very own Kombucha Bar in the back that looks like a very interesting chemistry lab with neon lights. Overall such a beautiful, artsy space from the white pillars to the exposed brick walls, metal vents, and sleek wooden tables and accents! We tried a few menu items that were completely different than what we ordered the day before. Every single thing was tasty, fresh & had us questioning, "Is there any room in my belly to try something else on the menu?!" Oh yes, it's that good! Highlights of the day were: * Matcha Latte with their fresh Almond Cashew Milk * Green Love cold-pressed juice * Plant-based "cheddar" Kale Chips * Paleo Bread with their Marcona Almond & Coconut Butter * Gluten-free Focaccia Bread Gorgeous food (that's good for your body, soul & tastebuds), friendly service, great music, and well...we just can't wait to come back!

As a party of four, we were seated in one of their booths, which can be completely private as they have sliding doors. I had a lovely view of fresh pizza being made, with the chefs assembling each pizza by hand (with love). For a Sunday afternoon, it was surprisingly not too busy. For the main, I ordered the salmon sushi sandwich. I loved the classic Japanese flavours presented in a non-traditional format. It wasn't super filling, so I opted for their toasted hazelnut ice cream, which came with a delicious combination of mangoes, grapes, and a cocoa cookie. Note that it was a grainier than ordinary ice cream, and the flavour was quite potent. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meals. Also super impressed that EVERYTHING is gluten-free. I highly recommend a visit even if you do not have dietary restrictions!

I was definitely familiar with many of the overlapping menu items and decided to go with their rotating lunch special for that day's meal. I started with their gazpacho which was flavorful and a nice treat on a hot summer day. Afterwards I received my vegan kebab which I found a bit underwhelming. The pita felt too soft and there wasn't much of the actual soy meat they used compared to the condiments. It felt more like a TVP crumble on top of soft bread. I did enjoy the vegan pudding dessert to end the meal however. Since I was leaving on a flight, I did end up ordering one of their veggie burgers and fries to go, and I found that to be much tastier than the kebab that I had at the restaurant. Despite the 'okay' lunch, I still enjoyed the experience and am glad there's an extensive vegan scene here in the city.

The service is super friendly and the menu is straight up 100% vegan. We ordered veggie burgers and a power bowl - and lots of fresh juices. Everyone seemed pleased with their choices. I'm not a chocolate person so I settled for the cinnamon raw! Other than this, they also serve tirawmisu, chia parfait, burgers, wraps and brownies! The cinnamon raw was delicious and well-made. Priced at 3.50euros, it was quite reasonable. I would come back and try other stuff on the menu again!
