The food they offered wasn't the greatest for how much they charge but I didn't pay for anything so maybe it was just the food that they provided that was mediocre. We did ask the staff to cook the pizza some more as it was kind of undercooked and doughy and the staff was extremely nice and didn't have a problem helping us out. I spoke to one of the members while I was relaxing in the patio area and he was telling me about all of the events for members that are free with the membership. Really cool place.

The vents are lined with mold. Most of the lockers rarely work. The carpet may be from when they opened. It's super matted, stained and disgusting. To top it off the sign for westside is dirty. They do an amazing job taking care of all the animals. Matter a fact the animals enclosure are cleaned daily but and they even got new penguins. But they have yet to even redo the women's locker room. To add the indoor hot tub, cold plunge area was redone but is rarely cleaned. There is still grime around the poles and it's generally sopping wet in there with hairs and dirt everywhere. It's unhygienic and unsanitary. Westside please do better. The gym has everything you need. However as far as maintenance of areas and cleanliness it's a 1-Star. Who what's yoninhsle mood while showering. And the cold plunge and hot tub area/pools still reeks of mold. So they may have redone the area but whatever they did did not remove the mold smell that sticks to your body when utilizing the indoor hot tub and indoor cold plunge. Maybe it needs new piping and better extreme ventilation.

Her swim coach is Coach Arianana and she's an amazing coach. She's very attentive and is so sweet. I'm sure they're all Great their but since she's my daughters coach I'm very very pleased with the way she's teaching. I have referred a friend here also ans hopefully he'll start soon. I highly recommend swim Jim if u want your child to have any swim lessons. Again. I am very very happy and have definitely made the right choice. 3.5 stars Cool place…read moreto hangout, but dang, why the metal slides in Houston? We went on a cloudy, cooler day (high of 81) in March, but the slides were still too hot. There is some shade provide by the canopies but definitely not enough. The bottom of the slides were still hit by the sun, and they're hot enough to burn you. I don't even wana think about in the middle of summer when Houston gets up to 100 degrees. My 2.5 yo enjoyed the playground otherwise. It was just too hot to enjoy all the things. She did really enjoy the water part and the sand. (We brought her swimming shirt and shorts, and she just walked in the sand and water barefoot. Surprisingly the concrete sidewalks didnt feel hot.) I stayed very close to her as she walked around the metal platforms (i could see this as being super dangerous, especially if crowded). The individual family restrooms are on the water side btw. The park side does not have changing tables in the restrooms. We saw some swings nearby, but there was no shade whatsoever (trees, canopies), which is a bummer bc she loves swings. Carousel is closeby. $3/ride or $6 all day. Parking is a bit further. We found free parking near the roundabout (Googlemaps: Parking man (Free parking)). We went around lunch on a Monday so there was a handful of empty spots, however on a weekend, forget about it. I absolutely hate driving down here. We walked through the Japanese Garden (recommend) since it's on the way to the playground.

But she did point us to this one. It's an older neighborhood in Sugar Land and it looks like it's been there forever. But it's totally worth finding: - Well maintained bike/jogging trail that goes for a couple of miles - Skate park for the teenage boys in your family - Tennis - Baseball/Softball fields that are well maintained and used by the Little League - Sand Volleyball - A public pool The pool is pretty basic but it ranges from 3 to 12 feet and has 2 diving boards. It's also dirt cheap. Sugar Land residents pay $1 for kids under 18 before 5 and $2.25 for adults before 5, $0.50 for kids/$1.00 for adults after 5. Non residents can use the pool for a little more: $1.25 for kids under 18 and $2.85 for adults before 5, $0.65 for kids and $1.25 for adults after 5. We eventually found Memorial Park in a newer part of Sugar Land. But the pool at City Park is a good option for the summer if you don't have ready access to one in your neighborhood and the trails are well maintained. If your kids are into skateboards, the skate park has shade and looked pretty popular.

Ah, the glamorous life as the parent of an energetic infant. How do I spend my Saturday afternoons…read morenow that I have an adorable baby? Not sitting on a patio sipping mimosas with my girlfriends (sigh)! Gymboree Play and Music is a great second choice though, and my daughter's first choice for air conditioned climbing fun. She looks forward to each Saturday class with Ms. Taylor for fun, age appropriate games and activities, friends, catchy songs (my husband and I have been singing the 'sitting in my high chair' song all day) bubbles, and of course the indoor playground equipment. She has a blast each time we go, and we love the atmosphere and loosely-structured play environment. While it's encouraged for your kids to follow along with the group activities, if your little one just wants to roll a ball one day, or go up and down the slide, no worries! You be you, little one. Be sure to bring socks for all adults, because if you forget you have to buy a pair for $10 at the front. Kiddos go barefoot to prevent slippage, but do wear play clothes suitable for active play (leave the baby suits and dresses at home and opt for a comfy onesie!). The way Gymboree operates is with a monthly membership that gives you one or more class a week, plus unlimited visits during open gym hours. They have different types of classes available, so depending on what you and your kiddo want for structured play you can choose the appropriate class. We opted for the Play and Learn 3 class after attending the Play and Learn family class we did for our free preview. The family class is for all ages 0-5, and is geared towards families with multiple children attending. It was fun, but we decided the age-appropriate class made the most sense for us. As an FYI- more Hina one adult can attend with your child at once. We attend on Saturday and most of the kids have both parents in attendance, and it's a fun way to meet other parents in the area. Now if only we could incorporate mimosa into Gymboree play, that would be the best of both worlds.
