Selected as a dining choice by my in-laws; they mentioned learning about Quickway when a friend at a sporting event was eating delicious looking & smelling take-out. They wanted to try the spot for themselves, so we walked in to order to-go. We expected to have a bit of a wait, as our fresh meals were made, but the first indication maybe the meal wasn't going to be as yummy as expected was when our 5 orders were bagged and ready to go within 3minutes- we had no idea the food set-up was pretty much mall food court-sitting around ready to go. So, we get home, and my 'fresh tofu bento box w.noodles and veggies' tasted like I microwaved three day old Chinese food from their fridge. The veggies were a pile of soggy cabbage, the noodles were all hard and stuck together, and the tofu was chewy instead of silky soft-I had to smother everything in sauce (from our fridge because their yum yum sauce was oily) to have a resemblance of taste. When I told them, the Asian gentleman put the chicken back on the grill and put the rice back as well. He gave me new noodles and the same chicken. Extremely disappointing. When a new restaurant opens up near home I try to visit. I have been to other Quickway restaurants, but this has to be the worse. Having a business in the old Huddle House was good, but this restaurant is not good. The dining room looks like it's been business for 5 years without any care. The dining room needs painting and a new floor must be replaced or cleaned regularly. I voiced my concerns to the manager or the person who said they are the manager and even tried to contact the owner. The manager refused to give me that person's name or email. I'm just realizing that I've never left a review for Quickway. We've been coming here for quite some time. For starters the food is good. It's a quick Asian meal that you don't have to worry about the legitimacy of the meat and they keep it clean. Their rolls and sides are really good considering that this is fast-food restaurant. The only reason I took a star off is because they have the common attitude of an Asian carryout. I'm not stereotyping or being racist I'm just stating the facts. Like I said, we've been coming here for awhile, well over a year, maybe 2. The Asian woman who always works the register seems to never be in a good mood and acts like you're bothering her. No smile, no happiness in her voice, impatient. She's never rude, just seems like she doesn't want to be bothered. The cooks are cool, they could stand to slow down a little when taking direction. I've never had an issue with my food other than the fact that when they're standing there with my plate asking do I want sauce, I tell them only on my noddles and meat, they instead spread it on my vegetables which I really don't like, this happens a lot which is another reason why I don't come here a lot. So like I said they could use a class or two in brushing up on their customer service skills. Honestly, I love great customer service. Ehh. My experience at Quickway was the equivalent of a limp handshake. **Not impressed.** A friend and I ordered takeout from Quickway -- two orders of chicken and shrimp hibachi and an order of sushi. The total was about $21. Cool. We head out the house to go pick up our food. We get there, and we walk up to the cash register. I politely ask the lady at the register, "So how much food comes with each order?" I'm asking because I've been told that one meal isn't really filling, and I wanted to know if I should order more for myself or my friend. She responded in a very nonchalant way, like she didn't want to be bothered. Cool. Duly noted. I pay and wait on my order. At the end of the line where we pick up our order, I asked the men preparing the food a question. None of them understood me. As in they look at me, mumble, and then ignore me altogether. Them not understanding me doesn't bother me. That's fine, honestly, but why not ask the lady at the register? Get her attention and ask for help. That way your customer can get the answer he/she needs. I'm not a snob. I usually order my take out and roll. But this establishment's customer service leaves much to be desired. I'm hongreh, so I decided to try the salmon bento box. This sucker came with your choice of noodle or rice, veggies, a California roll, and TWO each of: spring roll and chicken dumpling. All of this blame food was less than 10 bucks! Now what now? Exactly. The boo got the beef and chicken hibachi combo, which was slightly smaller, nonetheless, but still a healthy sized portion for a giant (him) and for the cost. Like I said, I was uber surprised with the amount of food that I received (enough for sharing), plus the fact that it tasted dang good, and wasn't pure crap meat. The veggies were delish, as was the noodles and hibachi. I tried all meats, and my favorite had to be the beef. The chicken just was chicken, and some of my salmon was a wee bit over done. The California Roll was pretty fresh, and the chicken dumpling and the spring roll hit the spot. I'd so go back to try more and more, plus I saw that they have a loyalty card. What? You know, I almost deducted a star for the silly name. Quickway? Really?.. this is a Japanese Hibachi spot so please change the name for your own credibility!! LOL. Now that I've finished venting, lets get to it. This has become my FAVORITE work lunch spot by far. Not only is it less than 10 minutes from the JOB, but man is the food good..YUMMMMMY!!! The food is definitely Hibachi, prepared right before your eyes. My absolute favorite dish is the Chicken and Shrimp Bento box which includes 4 pieces of sushi (California Roll), 2 chicken dumplings, 2 spring rolls, veggies and of course delicious Hibachi with fried rice. This meal is HUGE and more than enough for two people! I have also had the Salmon Bento box which is just as delicious. The sweetest part is the price. You get all of this for less than $10! In addition to the Bento boxes, I've had their sushi which will rival any sushi spot in the area! They do have decent seating if you can't wait to stuff your mouth at home! LOL!! This place has quickly become a go-to spot for me and other coworkers. Their bento boxes are around $10 and regular hibachi are around $7. You get a TON of food, and it's very delicious! The bento boxes come with two dumplings, four pieces of California roll, two spring rolls, veggies, and rice or noodles. I will say, avoid the beef option. It's not steak and it just tastes kind of cheap. I'm not one to usually order chicken, but there's is actually really good. And their shrimp is super tiny, but also flavorful. First time trying Quickway. Several friends and coworkers have expressed strong feelings about the food here. Most love it, two had bad experiences with the Forestville location (when that location first opened). Today, my first try, was an order delivered via Uber Eats. I had low expectations. Wow! Was I wrong! First, the portion size was LARGE! I'm an eater, but even I was able to "eat to bursting" and still had rice left. Second, I was very happy about how everything tasted. Nasty! We placed the order online which was easy and convenient. Didn't want to have to wait in the restaurant with the COVID-19 mess going around. We arrived approximately 15 minutes after sending the order and ended up still waiting 10 minutes. We chose hibachi combos (chicken & shrimp and chicken,beef & shrimp), 4 spring rolls and 2 drinks=$29. Everything was lukewarm including the drinks. I went to Quickway for my first time. Verry nice set up! It was cute!. on a nice day I had lunch with my best friend on Labor Day Monday!, it's in the round about shopping center of the Old Navy, Sweet Frog and firehouse subs and chipotle. This is definitely a place you can bring your family, no loud music, the people aren't loud even dining in very chill and calm. You can definitely people watch it's in a Good area and people traffic are coming through indeed. I ordered the Benton Box Chicken and Beef with Noodles and vegetables, my best friend ordered sushi with avocado along with a Entreé plate type with chicken and fried rice. We shared mini portions of what we had and everything was tender packed with flavor and left you with enough to take home and finish up. This is a place to take a date or with friends very affordable the staff working there are very helpful and pleasant. I like the concept as an alternative to Panda Express, but with cook to order items and obviously Japanese vs Chinese. I had the bento box and was not impressed. The noodles were ok, but my co-worker's rice was bland and dry. As they are about to hand you your food; they asked every person if they wanted more sauce. After tasting my dish, I know why: otherwise the food would have NO taste. The hibachi grill is dishing out bland food, with a heaping of sauce to mask the lack of proper seasoning and cooking. The "steak" in bento was an acceptable portion for the price, but did not taste well. The california rolls were stored in a large pan in the fridge and pulled for various orders. The line was also disorganized with the same lady taking $ and then shifting to calling out #s of completed orders. For the $ the food is ok, but it was too disorganized for me, food was off the hibatchi grill, but still remained at the pass until the baggers,etc got caught up. I kept saying my order is ready, but they ignored me for 5 min; as they tried to organize the tickets on the counter and pull together multiple orders. read more

For a quick meal this place is pretty good! I got the chicken and shrimp bento box which came with rice or noodles (I got half of each), chicken and shrimp, 2 spring rolls, 2 chicken dumplings and 4 pieces of California roll. Overall, the food was good, not the best I've ever had, but good nonetheless. Here's a "map" so you can see how I felt about each item at a glance: Hibachi: Great! The chicken and shrimp were both cooked perfectly. Noodles and Fried Rice: Both were good. The noodles were not the typical lo mein noodles though, they were about the diameter of thin spaghetti. And the fried rice does have veggies in it if you like that sort of thing. Chicken Dumplings: they were good but they didn't knock my socks off. Spring Rolls: these were just ok to me. They definitely tasted like they were of the boxed variety. They had a thick, soft outer layer, there was no crispness and the filling was almost non existent. California Rolls: these had a good flavor but there wasn't a special soy sauce for them. Also, the wasabi didn't have the nose-opening kick I'm usually looking for. I mixed it with the soy like I always do and dipped each piece in it and.... Nothing happened. I didn't taste it at all. Weird! Even though the rolls are cheaper here I'll probably continue to buy them at Wegmans. Quantity: There was definitely enough food to fill up most folks. I shared this meal with my 2 year old (who can eat) and we were both full after. She ate all my shrimp y'all! Smh Oh, and a side note: I don't normally like yum yum sauce as I'm not a big mayo person but the yum yum sauce here is excellent. It's so thin and well seasoned that, aside from it being white, I forgot that it was mayo. It was very good and my daughter ended up dipping everything into it. I was so excited to learn that I we were getting a Qickway nearby. However, my excitement was quickly replaced by disappointment and disbelief. The NEW Lanham Md location that just opened was so dirty that I turned around and walked out. They are having the "Gran Opening" with dirty floors ( it looked like construction debris and dirt/dust) filthy door and windows... I don't understand how management thought this was suitable to open in this condition. I have never experienced this in any other community. To management/owner- Please show our community the respect of providing a clean quality restaurant in which to spend our money. Until I see a change. I will choose not to spend my money here. Good Afternoon, I placed an order on 12/20/19, upon receiving my order of 2 Salmon & Shrimp and one orange soda, which comes with 3 pieces of Salmon and 8 pieces of shrimp, I discovered that my the the pieces of salmon was the thin end of the salmon and over cooked( they were hard). I called the restaurant and ask to speak with the manager, the phone was passed on to another employee who proceeded to tell me that the manager wasn't available. After asking repeatedly for the managers name I was told repeatedly. "Manager not here."! (While screaming) Asking again and was told I don't know the manager name but my name is Tock-key. Tock-key, refused to assist me and continued to badger me by saying "manager not here, bring the plate so I can see." Before hanging up on me.
